Date: March 18, 2011
Time: Between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.Last night, 18th March 2011 between 7:00pm and 8:00pm roughly, I was standing at my back door in Banbridge, Co. Down Northern Ireland. I was smoking a cigarette and looking up at the night sky. I saw an orange coloured light heading in an eastern direction. At first I thought it was an aircraft, but I couldn't hear any sound from it.
As I watched, I noticed the brightness of the light, as it was fluctuating, but not blinking on and off like an aircraft. To me it looked like something burning in the sky. I have seen shooting stars before, but this one was moving slower. There was no erratic movement, it was just moving in a one way course. I watched for 3-4 minutes and eventually the light fluctuated brighter, then darker then it disappeared.
I thought maybe it was some sort of comet? I typed into Google 'comet over Banbridge and found your site.' Just thought I would share what I saw with you. I wonder did anyone else see what I saw last night? Feel free to email me back.
If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

I also live in Banbridge and last night 09/09/2012 I saw a red ball in the sky. It was lower than cloud level and I watched it go across the sky making no noise at all. As I watched it, it kind of blinked off then on and then it disappeared altogether. Dunno what it was but it was beautiful to see.
