Worthing Sussex, UK Tilted Row Or Cluster Of Small Red/Green Lights

Posted: December 15, 2007

Date: December 9, 2007
Time: Approx. 10:15 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 1
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Tilted row or cluster of small red/green lights.
Weather Conditions: Dark. cloudy.

Description: I looked out of the window just before shutting every thing off for the night. There was a small, slanted line of tiny red lights hovering in the sky towards the North-East. Through the steamed window, it looked like it was really twinkling, like Xmas lights in the sky. Also, it was slanted at a 45 degree angle (left edge up). I thought, a police helicopter would appear as a horizontal. But this twinkling/slanted effect could have been a distortion of window glass/ some steam (?)because when I wiped the window dry and looked at it through binoculars, it appeared to be mainly one round red light and another, green/blue light underneath.

It's hard to explain - a smaller light or lights appeared to be circulating under the main one. There was a kind of circular movement, from right to left. After about 5 minutes in the same spot, it suddenly turned into a very bright constant white light, then dimmed again. I wasn't sure if the cloud had covered it (above
clouds) or the light had gone out. I saw it again a moment later, slightly to the right. It was (through binoculars) one round or a small 'bunch' of lights. Then it drifted out of sight behind a tree.

There was no noticeable sound. I did listen, but I have no idea how far away it was. It could have been above Chanctonbury or Cissbury. Hard to tell.

TV/Radio No.
