Chesterfield Derbyshire at around 21.30 on first of September 2010 my wife and I saw a orange orb in the sky it was traveling quite fast towards us then it slowed up there was no sound coming from it then it started to retreat backwards then shot off towards east then light disappeared and left a shadow traveling in an easterly direction.

Orange Light Seen From Chellaston In Derby UK

I saw an orange object burning in the sky last night from Chellaston In Derby at around 23.30 (2nd September). I couldn’t figure out what it was looking out of the window so went outside to have a look. Even though it was traveling horizontally, It definitely wasn’t a plane.

My initial thought was that it could a satellite burning up on entry, but it seemed far to close to be that and the direction it was traveling wouldn’t really have supported that theory. No idea what it was so had a look online today to see if there were any other sightings, and I saw your website.

Bright Orange Object Over Ahoghill Ballymena Co. Antrim UK

Tonight- 1st September 2010 I witnessed a bright orange orb in the sky in Ahoghill, Ballymena, Co. Antrim UK. My stepfather came home around 10:00pm and told me he saw a strange orange light in the sky. I went to check it out and didn't see anything.

At about a quarter past 10:00pm I went out for a cigarette and happened to look at the spot in the sky where he claimed to have seen it and I saw a bright orange flame like orb in the sky judging by the distance it was bigger than a plane or around the same size.

It stayed static for about two minutes and I moved closer to try and figure out what it was as I moved it started to move to the north west, slowly. As it was moving it became dimmer, but still visible it blended with the stars but it was below cloud level. It then about 4 seconds after it started to move it shoot straight up into the clouds and vanished. I am 100% sure it wasn't a lantern due to the size and the speed in which it moved and also due to the brightness of it.

There seems to be a lot of these sightings in this area as I have been researching since I saw it there is a similar post on your sight from this area. Any help on what it was would be great also going to look for it again and snap a picture.

Three Mysterious Orange Lights Seen Over The Woolwich Area UK

Hello Brian, I'm writing to report a further sighting we had tonight of the mysterious three orange lights in the sky, this time observed in the northern sky from the Woolwich area. We live in an elevated apartment with an uninterrupted view over the river toward East London and the City. This was a clear night with good visibility.

At 20:45hrs two orange lights appeared in the sky above East London, approximately over the new Olympic Park area, heading west toward the city. We were ready this time with a camcorder which has a powerful zoom facility. A third object rose up to follow the first two with a very fast rate of ascent and I was able to focus on this one using maximum zoom.

As the sun was just setting there was more light tonight than during our previous observation of 29th August. Zooming in revealed an outline shape against the dusky sky which appeared as a large rectangle or diamond shape above and connected to the orange light. Certainly unlike a conventional aircraft. The light momentarily shone brightly in our direction indicating some maneuvering around, but quickly the object followed the others westward until each light one by one disappeared just as before.

It is possible to tell which way these objects are facing because the orange light source is strongly visible at the leading end, rather like a huge headlight. A certain amount of orange light spill is visible from the side of these objects until they pass a certain point when the light source becomes obscured. Therefore it seems unlikely that these are the light from Chinese lanterns, which would, of course, be visible from all angles. At first glance, they could easily be passed off as lanterns due to the incandescent quality of the orange light, however, the associated dark form clearly seen tonight further reduces the possibility of them being lanterns.

When they passed overhead on Sunday night, the orange light source could be seen to have an irregular quality, like intense fire, with ill-defined edges and not the kind of crisp edge and beam you might associate with aircraft landing lights which are always white in any case. Tonight they were too far away to tell whether there was any noise associated and other aircraft were making noises in the area. Once again two of us witnessed this event.

Bight Orange Light Observed Over Bradley Stoke UK

Hi, I saw the light too, at first I thought it was a lantern, but I was not convinced. It was too bright and fast moving for a lantern and I saw this over Bradley Stoke. Also, just minutes after I saw the light, I saw a helicopter fly by. If it was something serious, then I guess the pilot would have been reported by now, so I am guessing it's definitely not a UFO. Orange Ball Shaped Object Over Sittingbourne Kent UK

I was watching TV past 10:00pm on 29/8/2010 in my living room in Sittingbourne, Kent when an orange ball shaped glowing object caught my eye moving across the sky. I rushed to my patio doors to get a better look from outside but they were unfortunately locked and once I managed to get outside the object had gone.

The light was probably 100 times the size of an aeroplane light and was not flashing. It moved at a fast but steady pace across the skyline. I decided to check it out today as I could only put it don to either an aeroplane on fire or a UFO. Interested in feedback on this.

Sighting Of Orange Light Over Wishaw Scotland

I also seen the orange light, it was about 11:00-11:10 me and my friend were standing out the back of my house in Pather which is a scheme in Wishaw when we seen what we thought was a shooting star or a aeroplane at first, but when we noticed there was no red or blue lights just a burning orange glow we were puzzled, it went one way for about 4 or 5 minutes then slowed down and changed direction completely, not like a plane which would have to turn in a bending motion.

He looked out window and ran for keys and went outside. He said what is that and me repeating it. We couldn't believe it, we have never seen anything like this before.

I was actually a bit scared and as we looked, it looked like it was coming towards us. It looked like a big fireball, it then it started to go back up the way and then disappeared. This was truly amazing. Did anybody else see this as I'm rather interested in this.

Orange Lights Above Kirkcaldy Scotland UK

Date: Weekend of August 27 - 29 2010

Good evening Brian, firstly I must state that I have never written anything like this before. I was staying at my parents caravan with my father for the weekend, this weekend, 27th-29th August. On the Saturday evening say around 2200hrs, we saw 4 or 5 orange glows in the sky.

I looked through our binoculars and could not focus on them at all. I got out my HD solid state camcorder and I got about three seconds of footage, again all they looked like were balls of fire. They traveled from the West to the East as we are on the North side of the firth. At first I thought it was the afterglow of a jet fighter, but there was no noise at all, they moved very fast through the sky and seemed to bun out all by themselves or go through clouds.

They all had the same trajectory, and seemed to have nearly the same distance apart as they went through the sky, they seemed to come up from a low altitude and then level off and die, like from the ground at forty-five degree angle and then level off. I asked around the caravan park to our neighbours and one gentleman, said he had seen them before also. His thought was of hot air balloons, that kind of made sense with the colour and what looks like fire inside the balloon, but the speed was something else.

I Googled hot air balloons for speed, I couldn't find a world record, but they as you can imagine travel at the speed of the prevailing wind. I thought I would let you know, as I am still wondering what they were. If you have any theories or questions give me a hit back and let me know.

One Very Bright Orange Light Over Whitchurch UK

Hi there, this is in response to a letter on your site regarding strange orange lights above Knowel Bristol. We live in Whitchurch, just next to Knowle and at about 10:30 last night we saw one very bright orange light fly through the sky.

My partner being the skeptic that he is, is convinced that it was a lantern, of which is the most realistic explanation, but somehow I have to admit I had an eliment of doubt, which led me to looking online for other sightings for around the same time. What's your take on all of this? Were they lanterns or is there something a little more to it? All the best.

Bright Orange Lights Over West Cornwal UK

Hi, we were sat outside at approx: 21:15hrs last night, Saturday August 28th 2010. Over head we saw a very bright, flame like coloured light, traveling at approx 3000 feet. It's speed was immense and what usually takes a plane to travel 3 minutes, traveled in just 20 seconds. It was viewed from just North of Redruth, witnessed by 4 people. I am used to watching the night sky and there is no way it was a satellite, plane or helicopter as it emitted no sound or trails. Regards.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was out back smoking last night waiting on my wife to return home. I noticed a slow moving bright glowing red/orange object moving slow across the sky. I didn't think much of it being, that I am in the US air force and was not far from our two bases. The objects made slow right turn eventually disappearing completely after about 15 seconds. I continued smoking and again another object, identical to the first appeared form the same direction.

This time I thought, I have see alot of planes, helicopters, balloons and everything. Been to war and seen other nations planes, jets rockets and this was completely abnormal. I was listening for any sounds of object and it was completely silent. The object faded out and then two more objects, same shape and color were coming from same directing. This is when I knew this was something special going on. The objects were moving very slow, making erratic movements and no sound and disappeared. A few seconds later, another object exactly the same and did the exact same thing. There was a total of 5 objects.

Strange Lights Over Woolwich UK

Hello Brian, I just seen three strange objects in the night sky above Woolwich about 2135. I went onto the web and found a similar report on your site.

To give more detail, there were three of them traveling line eastern about a mile apart quite quickly traveling south and crossing the river at Woolwich. They initially looked like the landing lights of conventional aircraft when approaching, but as they got close, it was clear that they had no flashing navigation lights and they were totally silent. They were also on an unusual course compared with London Heathrow or City Airport. They could have been military, however they had no sound whatsoever.

The first to appear traveled on a straight course. The second one to appear reduced altitude quite suddenly and veered toward the river. It then quickly gained height again and continued on its course. Most unlike a conventional aircraft or helicopter. The third took the same course as the first. I looked at them through binoculars and could not make out a shape as the front facing orange light was so bright it obscured any shape to be seen.

They were so obvious that other people must have seen them. These were witnessed by my wife and I simultaneously so it was not simply imagination.

They looked like fire balls that's the only way I can describe them.

6 Bright Orange Lights Over Bristol Knowle England UK

Full Description of Event/Sighting: We saw 6 bright orange lights traveling the sky making no noise and all flying the same flight path. The last one traveled slightly off to the right of the other five.

We first saw two fly across the sky, which grabbed our attention and amazement and wonder. Then about 2 minutes after, another 3 on the same course then approximately 30 minutes later another one.

They weren't anything we have ever seen before and match the description of many of your descriptions I have just read about. I Googled the lights to see if any one else had reported them and came up with your site. P.S - I'm not a crack pot and I do not believe in fairies or little green men, but have never seen anything like this before in my life.

UFO Gives Off Silvery Glistening Powder Over Sanlucar De Barrameda Andalucia Spain

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was on the beach in full daylight when a distant object caught my attention. A spot of light moving in a similar way to another object I saw two months before, wobbling and moving positions erratically or staying still for short periods of time. The object could have been 1 to 4 km away.

The object gave out a "spray" of silvery glistening powder which disappeared completely long before reaching the ground. Each burst was less than a second in duration, with 2 to 10 second intervals. Sometimes the object would appear brighter or disappear completely, only to return in a few moments.

After over half an hour I had to return to work. I did not see the object leave, but it was not there 2 hours later.

Glowing Orange Object Over Edinburgh City Corstorphine Area Scotland

Hi I saw one of the orbs tonight. I was sitting in my living room watching TV. Directly opposite me is my living room window and all of a sudden I was distracted by the appearance of a dull, glowing orange orb, close enough to be the side of a dinner plate, through my window.

It paused briefly and then it took off, there was no sound, I can't tell you how close it actually was. Only that within it were different shades of orange and reddish orange, kind of swirled or patchy.

I discount a balloon, because they don't glow in the dark. I discount a Chinese lanterns because this paused in the air and then took off.

I'm in Edinburgh city centre, the Corstorphine area, in Scotland. I saw an article on the net asking people to contact you if they'd seen one. So here you go. The time I saw it was just after 9pm - 9.15pm my time as I made sure I checked the time.

It was dark at the time with patchy cloud cover and there was no discernable wind at ground level.

Intense Orange Amber And Red Flash From Object Over Perth Scotland UK

Hi Brian, the date was Friday 27th 2010, the location was Perth, Scotland, UK. My girlfriend and I were out walking our dogs at around 9:30pm. We noticed a very intense orange/amber orb-like shape approaching through the cloud level. It didn't seem to deviate its course and made no sound.

It then suddenly changed its direction and turned left 90 degrees; it then began to pick up speed at an incredible rate - faster than any plane would normally. Just before it was lost from sight, a red flash of light appeared around the object before it disappeared from view.

Never seen anything like before - its movements were unlike anything we've ever seen before.

It moved very precisely in a straight line. It was completely silent though. It was triangular shaped with an ember like faint glow. It was also quite low, but was moving quite quickly. The sky was clear and I watched it until it was out of my view. I was pretty taken back to be honest as I wasn't expecting to see this.

White Orb Observed Hovering Over Witnesses Home In Hokkaido Japan

Dear Mr. Vike, please permit me to introduce myself. My name is (name removed). I live in Hokkaido, Japan. I was quite surprised to see the white orb captured in the video. 13 years ago, I saw just the same thing hovering right over my house, supposedly at the same altitude. My husband and a couple of my neighbors saw it, too. It was around 3:00PM. The weather was just as clear as is in the video.

I was the one to find it and everybody else wondered how I could spot such a small object in a totally clear blue sky! It stayed for more than 15 minutes before we went inside our houses.

My husband, myself and our supernatural cat have seen many UFOs in the past. It's just amazing to see how they try to amaze us.

Bright Light With Different Colors Over Aguada Puerto Rico

Now this was my first sighting ever or something of oddity I've ever seen in the night sky cause am always looking and this looked totally different.

It was stationary, stars were out tonight glimmering, but not like this bright object I was looking at. It was stationary and it looked like it was in our atmosphere, but could not entirely tell due to the distance. I went back inside my house and got my x8 binoculars and it did not look like a star as it was blinking red/green/white.

It soon moved behind the tree's and could not see it anymore. I knew it was not a star because I could clearly see blinking lights from my bino's, but could not see beyond the lights to tell if it was a aircraft or not. I did not have time to take a photo. But are sightings like these similar? If so what did I see? should I be fascinated?

4 Bright Orange Lights Over Perth Scotland

hi Brian, yes I can confirm the UFOs over Perth, but it was 14th Saturday at approx 22.25 pm when we saw them. Me my wife and son were traveling north on the a9 min past the Mercedes dealers at the roundabout at Perth, we saw 4 bright orange lights in the sky all at different heights moving very slow. I tried to pull in to the nearest lay by, but is was too far, so I turned back towards Perth.

We lost sight of them on the way back, but when we turned back up the a9 we saw them again. This time we pulled in and managed to get photos, another very strange thing when we went north approximately 5 minute and approximately later a convoy of about 8 to 10 black Mercedes, all the same kind of cars pulled off the a 9 very fast. They were all over the road as they tried to take a very small left turn which left a number of cars in the middle of the road. We had to take action not to hit them, as they were all over the road. Two Huge Bight UFOs Over Burnage Manchester UK

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I saw one huge bright light and then a similar, but smaller came towards it. The light went out, then came on brighter. The small orb one went towards it, then moved back to it's original position. The large orb then followed it and darted back.

They went off with it and this all happened within ten to twelve minutes. The funny thing is, a plane in the distance that was coming in caused it to switch off the glow when plane moved out of sight.

The glow came back and it was like they were communicating, then both orbs disappeared. I checked on the clouds, but it was clear and I allowed for another plane and it wasn't that, or a helicopter. It wasn't and Chinese balloon so I'm really puzzled. Did anyone else see it or report it. I am quite honest and sincere and what I saw wasn't a plane or anything I could think of. It couldn't be any other thing than two UFOs mucking about, going in and out towards each other. One big and bright one similar, but light given of it not so powerful but definitely both connecting together.
