Bright Intense Flashes Light Up The Entire Sky Over Mapumalanga Waterval Boven South Africa

Hi Brian, my name is (name removed) and I am responding to the UFO sighting in Mpumalanga.

Although I did not see the sighting you had described, I did however see some strange things in the sky when I was on holiday in Waterval Boven, Mpumalanga a couple days ago - (From the 28th to the 31st December 2012).

Every single evening while there me and my partner saw huge bright flashes of light in the night sky.

It was like a massive very intense strobe light that would literally light the sky up for a split second.

The random flashes would last for a couple of hours every evening with flashes occurring every couple of seconds, almost constantly and with completely random at timing. 

Some nights it was foggy and the flashes occurred, and the one night the sky was completely clear with no clouds what so ever and the flashes still occurred. The flashes had no sound to them what so ever.

I spoke to a few locals who had also seen them, but have no explanation as to what it could be. Have you seen this as well in Mpumalanga? 

We also saw a UFO sightings on the evening of the 30th while there. A white light moved in the sky at first we thought it was a satellite, but then it quickly changed direction and flew away.

Do you know of anyone else who has seen these flashes? Is there maybe a natural explanation for them that I am not aware of?

Intense Bright Light Continues To Brighten Up Witnesses Home At Lancing West Sussex UK

Hi, for the last few weeks an intense bright light has lit up my lounge up to three times a night and up to four times a week, I thought it was just my imagination, but even the cat is jumping in fright.

There are no helicopters or anything else in sight, we have a police helicopter that passes here with a search light occasionally, but it is nothing like this.

This is an intense light that floods my lounge even when the light is on, on some days the cat is afraid to go out, has anyone else mentioned this.

Intense Orange Colored Object West Of Edinburgh City Scotland UK

Time: Between 8:15 p.m. - 9:10 p.m.

Are hot air balloons allowed to fly over the UK at night?

Spotted tonight, initially hovering over the west of Edinburgh city at approximately 8:15 pm. I watched as the object made off in a southerly direction over the Pentland Hills to quickly fade and disappear. I have to admit that it did look like a hot-air-balloon, but the large "flame" was an intense orange colour and when in motion was much too fast for a balloon.

It seemed to have a balloon like canopy that was cream in colour and semi transparent, but I saw no balloon style ribbing and no basket or gondola beneath.

The object reappeared almost an hour later as I was walking my dog. It steadily and at quite a speed, flew with the purpose of a manually guided craft back over the hills (as far as I know, balloons don't make U turns) to the spot in the sky where I first saw it, where, once again, it hovered before moving slowly a short distance to the west.

It then started to fade and vanish in what was a cloudless sky with many visible stars, almost as if the light or flame was slowly turned off.

If there are any other reported sightings, I would be very interested to know exactly what it was that I saw.

Pilot Enters An Intense Pink Light Near Tunbridge Wells UK

Hello, from the out I'll say that this isn't normally my kind of thing, but I happened to be flying back into the UK Tuesday eve in a light-ish aircraft just after sunset and ran into an intense pink light weather/whatever phenomenon near Tunbridge Wells that I had never imagined.

I told various friends who also fly simply because it was more than strange and scared me a bit, so much so that I almost turned back away from it, but I entered it and the plane was lit up inside like the brightest summers day, only pink, but was then hit by such intense hail and turbulence that I lost my seat, lost my headset, banged my head and thought it so severe so I made a report on the radio to the radar service provider to warn other aircraft.

He commented that he could see intense cells in my location which surprised me as I had expected none.

The forecast was for none of the severe weather encountered or I would not have made the trip. I am glad that I told friends pretty well immediately both en route home from the airport, that night and next morning (so you can imagine how it affected me) because a day later I have had one of them just mail me a report on a very similar thing that was reported in the Mail over London.

It seems to get the brush off and comments were closed off and so on searching quickly came across your link touching on these things and felt it worth making contact.

If interested I'd be happy to give a fuller account. If you know of an explanation of any kind I'd be happy to hear.

Intense Orange Amber And Red Flash From Object Over Perth Scotland UK

Time: Approx: 9:30 p.m.

Hi Brian, the date was Friday 27th 2010, the location was Perth, Scotland, UK. My girlfriend and I were out walking our dogs at around 9:30pm. We noticed a very intense orange/amber orb-like shape approaching through the cloud level. It didn't seem to deviate its course and made no sound.

It then suddenly changed its direction and turned left 90 degrees; it then began to pick up speed at an incredible rate - faster than any plane would normally. Just before it was lost from sight, a red flash of light appeared around the object before it disappeared from view.

Never seen anything like before - its movements were unlike anything we've ever seen before.

Eastern Shire of Berwickshire An Intense Bright UFO Directly Above A Electricity

Date: August 8, 2005 Time: 11.00-11.30 p.m.

We live in the Scottish Borders in the Eastern Shire of Berwickshire. Berwickshire is located on the east coast -To the North is the Lammermuir Hills and to the South is the Cheviot Hills. The night of our experience was the 7/08/05 as we were driving at the edge of the Lammermuirs, heading in the general direction of North, on the A6112 towards the small village of Preston, which lies 3-4 miles of the county town Duns. The time was around 11.00-11.30pm when a strong light was seen through the trees, flickering at first, then a constant illumination, so intense that I immediately squinted my eyes. We turned the next corner and the light was not as intense and we could both see clearly a UFO sitting directly above what looked like an electricity pylon.

We stopped the car to observe this object, and just as we sighted the craft, it moved off, towards us. Fumbling with the camera to get a picture as best I could, my husband took time to observe the UFO. The first impression was how well sculpted it was, but while it came closer we listened for any noise, there was none but a 'Dull drone' as it flew overhead. It reared off to the left and kept a steady pace, but it was moving real slow. (I don't know how it stayed in the sky) Just then a motor vehicle appeared behind us and we moved off ,pulling in seconds later. We got out the car just to see the UFO disappearing over the tree-line, in a Southerly direction.

The driver of the other vehicle did not stop, I think he was in shock! Anyway after that we decided to head off back the way we had come, to the highest point, The Hardens Hills, 345 metres above sea level. After a few moments an object showing several lights (low on the horizon, sitting above tree height, travelling 180 degrees slipped over the tree-line) Before it disappeared we had observed the UFO with 30x50 zoom binoculars, the sky was twilight, slightly darker from the previous encounter. The only thing we observed this time was 3 white lights.

After several minutes of the craft disappearing , we headed back to the first location, observing the UFO route, but when we got back again (in no time at all) the same 3 light object appeared skulking along the tree-line disappearing behind the strange cloud formation (the sky was almost clear) only to see it slipping over the tree-line. We kept looking up noticing lights, which stood out from the stars, being brighter than the rest. They appeared to be moving in short, sharp movements. We observed them through the binoculars. Just then what looked like a huge bolt of 'lightening hit the ground from the sky, a lot thicker than normal lightening. With that, we drove home, with stiff necks! (we live about 10-15 miles away) The days that followed we suffered from eye trauma, tiredness and generally felt unwell .

I have enclosed the photo which we took. We have highlighted it, and in the color picture we can definitely see that there is a craft there..
