Glowing Orange Objects Over Antrim Town UK (Power Failure)

Time:  Beginning at 8:10 p.m.

 

Hi, this evening (29th October 2011) there was a power failure in Antrim town for around 2 hours beginning at 20:10. Whilst outside to look at the sky because there was no light pollution, I saw 2 glowing orange objects in the distance moving in formation to the north of Antrim.

Around 30-40 minutes later I saw the same thing moving from south -> north at very high speed before slowing down once it got to the far right of my vision. This repeated 3 more times, each time I saw it, my sister saw it too.

I am aware that there were alot of fireworks this evening because it's Halloween. However, I have a pilots license and know what an aircraft of any kind looks like.
This was not an aircraft:

• It's speed was too high, given the distance;
• Its speed was also too varied;
• It didn't make a sound
• It was bright orange - an aircraft has a strobe and a red light on its left wingtip, green on the right wingtip (which by law must be on at all times)

I called the PSNI non-emergency and asked them if they had aircraft in the area, they said no. I then called Aldergrove and spoke to ATC there - they said there was nothing in the area and the only traffic had been a jet landing shortly after 22:00. I can't think of what it may have been, but I'd have known if it was an aircraft.

Bright Orange Light Over Antrim Northern Ireland

Time: Evening.

Hi, I am from Clinty Finnan County, Antrim Northern Ireland and on the second of October 2011 I witnessed a bright orange light about house level traveling in front of me whilst I was driving home to Ballymoney.

It moved at a constant pace, but disappeared and it was then seen on my right hand side of car. It the moved back again and this continue for about five miles and then disappeared again.

Orange Lights Over Ballyclare Co Antrim UK

Shape of Objects: Orange lights.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: One object was seen travelling west to east then followed by another then 3 others. These were flying line one behind the other, but each offset. These were then followed by at least 2 others. They were not travelling fast.

Bright Orange Red Object Over Greenisland County Antrim Northern Ireland

Time: Approx: 9:33 p.m.

I seen similar object last night out the back of my house over Greenisland, County Antrim at approx: 9.33pm. It was a bright orange/red colored flame-like object moving at a steady speed with no sound or lights to suggest it was a plane and also defiantly not a lantern.

I watched it for about 30 seconds moving steadily along. I went into the house to get camera and came out front. The object was still there for a few seconds, but then sped off quickly into sky and disappeared. Very weird. I am normally skeptical about these type of things, but seeing is believing. Bright Orange Object Over Ahoghill Ballymena Co. Antrim UK

Time: Approx: 10:15 p.m.

Tonight- 1st September 2010 I witnessed a bright orange orb in the sky in Ahoghill, Ballymena, Co. Antrim UK. My stepfather came home around 10:00pm and told me he saw a strange orange light in the sky. I went to check it out and didn't see anything.

At about a quarter past 10:00pm I went out for a cigarette and happened to look at the spot in the sky where he claimed to have seen it and I saw a bright orange flame like orb in the sky judging by the distance it was bigger than a plane or around the same size.

It stayed static for about two minutes and I moved closer to try and figure out what it was as I moved it started to move to the north west, slowly. As it was moving it became dimmer, but still visible it blended with the stars but it was below cloud level. It then about 4 seconds after it started to move it shoot straight up into the clouds and vanished. I am 100% sure it wasn't a lantern due to the size and the speed in which it moved and also due to the brightness of it.

There seems to be a lot of these sightings in this area as I have been researching since I saw it there is a similar post on your sight from this area. Any help on what it was would be great also going to look for it again and snap a picture.

Bright Orange Light Over Ballee Ballymena Co Antrim UK

Location of Sighting: Ballee, Ballymena, Co Antrim.
Number of witnesses: 2
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Round.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was chatting to a friend in the Car Park of Ballee High school when an orange light caught my eye in the northern sky. I initially thought it was a helicopter spotlight but it approached at what I would say was helicopter speed. There was no other visible parts other than the bright light which I assumed was pointing straight at me as it came forward.

As it approached the point where I thought I should be able to see the outline of the helicopter and hear the noise, the light changed direction and moved towards the SW direction along in front of me. Again I could see no features except for the glaring orange light. At this point I drew attention to the object to my friend who got out of his car to look. He could not figure out what it was either but got his camera to take a picture. The object moved at a steady pace for 1 minute or so, then changed direction again to the NW direction then rose at the same speed to disappear into the low clouds.

The whole event lasted for about 2-3 minutes. There was no sound from the object. It looked like an intense orange/yellow spotlight moving under control at a steady rate.

Portglenone, Ballymena, Antrim, Northern Ireland Two Orange Circular Fire Like Balls

Shape of objects: Circular round orange fire like balls which were moving very slowly with no sound and something shot out of the top of it !
Weather Conditions: Clear sky and quite dark
Description: It was an orange circular fire like ball which was moving very slowly with no sound at all.

UFOINFO Note: As with other similar reports I asked the witness to have a look at the UFO Balloons website to see if this is what might have been seen and received the following reply:

Thanks for that link John,

But this was not a balloon it was just out of the ordinary and was hovering and a slow pace and too large for a balloon and making a feint noise but then something shot out the top of it and the another object came along which was exactly the same thing shape and size. I am only 12 but my whole family evidently saw this object and have visual proof because we seen it through the binoculars .! Many thanks.
