Orange Light With Tail Over Bury UK

Date:  March 3, 2012
Time:  Approx: 9:50 p.m.

Dear sir/madam, at approximately 9:50 p.m. I witnessed the orange light almost like a shooting star, but too low.

I assumed it was a fire rocket, but it lasted more than a minute as it flew down towards Bury and disappeared through the clouds.

I could only assume maybe a jet, but didn't hear the usual roar from the engine.

Bright Glowing Red Orange Object RAF Mildenhall/Bury St. Edmunds UK

Date: August 28, 2010
Time: 9:30 p.m.

Location of Sighting: RAF Mildenhall/Bury St. Edmunds.
Number of witnesses: 2
Number of Objects: 5
Shape of Objects: Diamond shape glowing red.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was out back smoking last night waiting on my wife to return home. I noticed a slow moving bright glowing red/orange object moving slow across the sky. I didn't think much of it being, that I am in the US air force and was not far from our two bases. The objects made slow right turn eventually disappearing completely after about 15 seconds. I continued smoking and again another object, identical to the first appeared form the same direction.

This time I thought, I have see alot of planes, helicopters, balloons and everything. Been to war and seen other nations planes, jets rockets and this was completely abnormal. I was listening for any sounds of object and it was completely silent. The object faded out and then two more objects, same shape and color were coming from same directing. This is when I knew this was something special going on. The objects were moving very slow, making erratic movements and no sound and disappeared. A few seconds later, another object exactly the same and did the exact same thing. There was a total of 5 objects.

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

A strange orange light floated over Bury St Edmunds it didn't flicker so I don't think it was a Chinese lantern or balloon it didn't change course or dart around. Very bright much brighter than the stars medium height and no noise kinda weird I wondered if any else had reported this light. Thanks for your help.

Horringer, Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk, England Ornage Balls (Photo)

Posted: January 24, 2009

Date: January 1, 2009
Time: 11:50 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 2
Number of objects: 4
Shape of objects: Spheroid/blob.
Weather Conditions: High thin cloud

Description: Looking out of my window waiting for the fireworks to start to herald in the New Year when I saw a bright orange light moving up from the south. I thought it was a firework to start off with so went outside, when I got outside I could see two objects, a brighter one leading a fainter one, both looking like orange blobs (same colour as mercury vapour street lights). They both drifted in a SSE direction, at which point they appeared to circle one another once, then leading object became the trailing object & they both moved off to the south. Approximately 10 minutes the same thing happened again, couldn't tell if they were the same two objects or two different ones.

Objects appeared to be dimmer when moving away from me, one was very bright when moving towards me.

I was able to take digital photograph of objects which are barely visible in the image despite their brightness. Both objects appear to be orange spheres/blobs.

UFOINFO Note: As with other similar reports I asked the witness to have a look at the UFO Balloons website to see if this is what might have been seen and received the following reply:

Hi John

I'd already read through some of the other reports describing orange balls, ordinarily I'd have settled for that as the explanation, especially as it was New Years Eve. What was odd was how the objects moved, if they were balloons they would have moved generally in the direction of the prevailing wind, it was the weird 'follow my leader' thing they did before reversing their direction, that really stood out. Balloons, as I understand it, don't get to choose their direction of travel. I'm a sceptic to be honest, but I cant come up with an explanation either.

I've attached the photograph. The first is the actual one straight off my camera, not a lot to see as it was pitch black & as mentioned, they were much, much brighter visually, but there are two faint orange blobs which are the objects in question. The second picture is x400% enlargement of the blobs. Thanks.

Bury Lancashire, England A Circular/Elliptical UFO

Posted: May 3, 2008

Date: Late 2001/early 2002.
Time: N/A.

Sir, I was just looking up UFO sightings in the Bury Lancashire, England area and found a couple of reports and your email address. I would like to tell you about a possible sighting.

I was shocked quite recently, when my elderly aunt (80 year old) introduced UFOs into the conversation. She and her late husband had apparently seen a circular/elliptical object in the sky at the back of there house. This happened around late 2001/early 2002. (My aunt couldn't remember the exact date) initially, the object appeared as a bright light stationary in the sky and my aunt and uncle were curious enough to venture onto their patio to take a closer look. From there, they observed a large, stationary, silent object with colored-orange, pink-lights around it. My aunt suggested it was a plane but was quickly corrected by my uncle who had been an aircraft builder.

He told her that planes don't have lights all round and they certainly can't hover silently. This left the possibility of a helicopter. Do silent ones exist? or a hot air balloon? or an airship? Only one problem, as my aunt and uncle and two neighbors observed the craft, it flew away over the house, faster than anything they had seen. It then paused briefly at the front of the house, before shooting off again at lightning speed. My uncle and aunt were very reluctant to tell anyone for fear of ridicule. However, last month, when my aunt told me, I looked up possible sightings in that area for 2001/2002, and I found a report on a strikingly similar craft being observed by off-duty police officers in the Bury/Rochdale area of England.

Hope this is of interest? Sorry I can't provide pictures/video. My uncle probably would have used his camera, if he hadn't been very poorly (Terminally ill) at the time. All the best.

Thank you to the person for relating this information about the sighting.
