Glowing Pink Object Shoots Across The Sky Over Sittingbourne Kent UK

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was looking for the moon to see what phase it was in, and saw what I thought was a Chinese lantern glowing pink in the clear sky.

 

I called to a colleague to ask him what it was, and we watched as it shot like a silent fighter jet flying lower than the planes over us. We had vision for miles around, but this object suddenly went opaque, but still glowing pinky orange and shot into the distance.

 

In the time it took me to get my phone out of my pocket to photo it, it was out of sight and approximately ten miles away. Anyone know what it was please inform us as we are gob smacked. Thanks.

Orange Ball Shaped Object Over Sittingbourne Kent UK

I was watching TV past 10:00pm on 29/8/2010 in my living room in Sittingbourne, Kent when an orange ball shaped glowing object caught my eye moving across the sky. I rushed to my patio doors to get a better look from outside but they were unfortunately locked and once I managed to get outside the object had gone.

The light was probably 100 times the size of an aeroplane light and was not flashing. It moved at a fast but steady pace across the skyline. I decided to check it out today as I could only put it don to either an aeroplane on fire or a UFO. Interested in feedback on this.

Huge Orange Ball Of Light Over Sittingbourne Kent UK

Time: Approx: 9:45 p.m.

We were having a BBQ yesterday 10/7/10 and were just chatting in the garden around 21:45 when this huge orange ball caught my eye flying through the sky. I said to my husband, what the heck is that!We both got up and so did my sister-in-law and we watched it travelling east, it was going across the sky with what looked like a slight upward motion.

We live in Sittingbourne in Kent and the object was going very fast. It definitely wasn’t a lantern or an aircraft. I thought it might of been a meteor, but it didn’t have a tail. A friend of mine who lives in Sawbridge witnessed a similar thing too? Any ideas as to what this was?
