Roughly 10 Large Orange Orbs Over Frenchay Nr Bristol UK

Date: February 27, 2010
Time: Approx: 8:20 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Frenchay Nr Bristol UK.
Number of witnesses: 2
Number of Objects: Numerous.
Shape of Objects: Round.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: At around 20:20pm GMT on 27/02/10 driving down the M32 North Bristol with my 5 year old daughter. She turned to me and said, look at the flying saucers in the sky! I looked up to my left and saw about 10 large orange orbs about 1,000 feet up widely spaced in a random pattern floating across the sky heading to the East. Has any one else locally seen anything strange? Definitely not the usual subjects such as fireworks and streetlights etc. What could they have been?

Triangular Formation Of Red Orange Orbs Over Puerto Escondido Oaxaca Mexico

Date: January 1, 2010
Time: After midnight.

Hello, Happy New Year! We saw red, orange orbs of light over Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, that had been in a triangular formation, then in a linear formation and then they separated their formation. These orbs remained visible for several minutes right after turning into the New Year 2010.

They were moving in a manner not like any star, planet or fireworks in the sky. A true phenomenon! Very cool and exciting! And last year we saw only one orb of light that seemed to follow our walking near the ocean here in Pto. Escondido just after the new year of 2009. Thanks for our being able to let you know.

Bright Orange Orbs Over Sunderland UK

Date: January 1, 2010
Time: 00:01 to 00:50

Location of Sighting: Sunderland UK.
Number of witnesses: 2
Number of Objects: 10
Shape of Objects: Round Orange Orbs.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: My wife decided to watch out the window at the fireworks welcoming in the New Year and noticed 3 lights in the sky. She thought they were fireworks, however when I looked they were too high and too fast to be fireworks.

They seemed like very bright orange orbs, as if there was large object on fire, yet no flickering. (A meteor perhaps?) I know I could be fooled by perspective, however these were clearly above the clouds. The first 3 lights were travelling at the same velocity heading east to west, however the third was a distance away from the first two, angled slightly away, more south-westerly.

This is where is gets weird. The second of the orbs, seemed to extinguish it's light, from full intensity to nothing. But, I could still track the object. It seemed more triangular or wedge shaped, much like a stealth bomber (But these were not aircraft, no noise, no flashing lights) Again these could have been my eyes after staring at these bright objects, but it was strange nonetheless.

There were more objects to follow, around another 6 or 7, this time I caught most of them on my HD camcorder.

My first thoughts were that they were missiles, perhaps being test fired, which would highlight the height, velocity, directional accuracy and lack of sound.

All in all, definitely unexplained!

18 Glowing Orbs Of Light Over Rugby UK

Date: January 1, 2010
Time: 1:00 a.m.

I sighted about 18 glowing orbs of light between midnight and 01:00 on New Years Eve. They were travelling from north to south, some together and some at longer intervals. Some were also quite low and you could tell there was no sound coming from them. They were also witnessed by my wife, who refused to even think they could be a UFO. The sighting took place at my home in Rugby, UK.

Glowing Orange Orbs Seen Over Skelmanthorpe Huddersfield UK

Date: January 1, 2010
Time: Approx: 00.05

I have been trying to create a report through your website, but it keeps refusing to send so I am sending it via this mail.

My name is (name removed), I live in Skelmanthorpe, Huddersfield. at approx: 00.05 on Friday the 1st of Jan 2010 I looked out of my bedroom window to see the fireworks. I looked up into the sky and saw 2 orange glowing orbs flying at some speed coming from a northeasterly direction and heading in a westerly direction. They disappeared into cloud a couple of seconds later there was another 2, same colour from the same direction, again disappearing into cloud.

Then another two, then another two, I turned to my left to look if there was anything else and there was 2 coming from a south easterly direction heading westerly the same direction as the ones coming from the northeasterly direction. In total I saw approx: 16 of these orange globes within about 10 minutes. I saw only 4 in the sky at any one time. After seeing the first two, I went down stairs to tell my brother to come and see these orange glowing orbs and we went into the back garden to get a clearer view.

4 Orange Orbs Over Knypersley Stoke On Trent UK

Date: December 31, 2009
Time: 23.30 - 12 Midnight

Location of Sighting: Knypersley, Stoke on Trent.
Number of witnesses: 2
Number of Objects: 4 (in zig-zag pattern).
Colour: Orange
Shape: Circular.

Hi, I had just gone outside to wait for any New Year fireworks and as I looked up into the sky and noticed four orange orbs in a zig zag pattern. I quickly ran into to the house to get my wife so as to prove that I hadn't lost my marbles and she too could see them (Just to let you know neither my wife nor myself had any alcoholic beverage). They travelled horizontally in a South-Westerly direction across the sky at a steady pace and then we popped back into the house to put our coats on as it was - 4 deg outside which could not have been anymore than 20 seconds and three of the orbs had disappeared with only one remaining. If I am losing my mind then it's nice to see I'm not alone. Many Thanks.

Orange Glowing Orbs Observed Over Sale Cheshire UK

Date: January 1, 2010
Time: Approx: 12:45 a.m.

Me and my boyfriend were watching the fireworks from our kitchen window after the New Years Eve countdown. We noticed at about 12:45 after the fireworks had died down, there were strange orange glowing orbs. We were convinced these were just tea lights in paper lanterns from the Chinese nearby, but after having numerous phone calls from friends and family across the UK saying they had seen the same glowing orbs all moving in the same direction across the sky, we thought this was very strange. We live in the city center of Sale, Cheshire, UK.

Time: 21:00

Number of witnesses: 7
Number of objects: 20 approximately.
Shape of objects: Not certain- orange/orbs.
Weather Conditions: Fairly clear- cloud cover 5k approx.

Description: We saw several clusters of bright amber lights, two parallel rows of approximately four/six objects to the formation, travelling slowly from East Stavely to West Sheffield direction. They were just below the cloud cover estimated at approx 5k ft at an estimated speed equivalent to an aircraft standard approaching speed 150/ 200 kn/mls hr! They stayed in view for about 5/10 mts, they then dispersed/disappeared into cloud.

TV/Radio: I reported the sighting to the local Derbyshire police HQ who took the details and confirmed it logged. We also contacted the local BBC Sheffield Radio Stn, who announced the sighting and asked for further witnesses to contact their researcher.

Middlesbrough Teesside United Kingdom Four Bright Orange Orbs

Posted: May 23, 2009

Date: April (Sunday) 2009
Time: 12.10 a.m.

Number of witnesses: 3
Number of objects: 4
Shape of objects: Bright Orange Orbs
Weather Conditions: Clear Evening

Description: Travelling home I spotted 3 bright orange orbs in a triangle shape high in the sky with the fourth moving/flying from right to left towards the other 3. 1 of the 3 then went out like a light then another of the 3 then the one moving went out then the last of the 3 slowly went out or moved away to gradually lose sight of the light. Spotted on Ayresome Rd looking towards Eston/Redcar. All witnessed by my girlfriend and me but as we got home her son had
recently come home in a taxi and he saw the orbs too. So they were there for approx 5/7 minutes. Please get in touch if you witnessed it too !

UFOINFO Note: As with other similar reports I asked the witness to have a look at the UFO Balloons website to see if this is what might have been seen and received the following reply:

Hi John,

My sighting was on the 12th. I have looked at the balloons and from how they are described I suppose it may have been those but for 3 of them to hold there position solid in the sky for 5 mins or so and only 1 to be clearly moving right to left not up/down, if it was windy wouldn't all of them move the same ? I believe them to be unidentified objects. Thanx.

Coventry, United Kingdom Two Blue/Green Orbs Frighten Family Pet

Posted: April 12, 2009

Date: April 11, 2009
Time: 9.30 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Coventry, United Kingdom.Number of witnesses: 2Number of Objects: 2Shape of Objects: Orbs.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: We were walking the dogs and one of them got spooked and wouldn't walk further. My companion spotted a single blue/green orb moving around above us, first from left to right, back to left, around in a semi-circle, then in a zig-zag fashion. There didn't seem to be any pattern. At times it would stop and stay still for a moment. Suddenly a second orb joined it, following at times and then leading.

Thank you to the witness for their sighting report.

Chislehurst, Kent, England Four Amber Orbs

Posted: April 1, 2009

Date: February 21, 2009
Time: 2205hrs

Number of witnesses: 1
Number of objects: 4
Shape of objects: Round.
Weather Conditions: Dry, patchy cloud, light breeze.

Description: I saw four amber orbs in total, one after the other. They all took the same course from right to left in my field of vision. They were reasonably low and steady and about 30 seconds apart, and each one faded from view at the same point which may or may not have been due to a low cloud formation. Although we are close to Biggin Hill and London airports, they were definitely not planes/helicopters. They were silent and had no navigation lights, just the amber glow. At the time I saw the third orb appear, I noticed a plane flying from left to right, and wonder if the pilot(s) would see and report them.

-----

UFOINFO Note: As with other similar reports I asked the witness to have a look at the UFO Balloons website to see if this is what might have been seen and received the following reply:

Hi John

Have checked the ufo balloon footage thoroughly, but can confirm this is not what I saw. The orbs had a very true and direct course and were moving too steadily and fast to be balloons. Hope this helps.

Exeter, South West UK A Series Of Small Orange Orbs

Posted: March 21, 2009

Date: December 27, 2008
Time: Between 22:30-22:50hrs

Hi Brian, Just logged on the internet as a result of what I've just seen here in Exeter, South West UK. My report is almost identical to one filed with you in late 2008 from someone else in a different part of this city, "December 27th 2008 : Redhills, Exeter, Devon, England" to be precise.

Between 22:30-22:50hrs I saw a series of small orange orbs moving silently across the sky. It was like watching a series of plane coming in to land at a busy international airport (nothing of that scale near here). Some of the orbs had bits break off them and fall vertically towards the earth - no sign, sound or evidence of any impact to be seen. The majority reached a certain point (usually the same point) in the sky then vanished!

Never seen anything like this before in my life and have no idea who or where to report this kind of thing.

I'd be interested if you have any views as to what this might have been - must be exactly the same as the guy who reported something like this in December.
Make what you will of it anyway. Best regards.

Thank you to the witness for their sighting report.

Worthing, West Sussex, England Large Orange Orbs In Formation

Posted: January 10, 2009

Date: January 1, 2009
Time: Between 12.15 to 1.05 a.m.

Number of witnesses: 2
Number of objects: 10
Shape of objects: Large orange orbs, flying in formation.
Weather Conditions: Freezing, fairly clear sky, no wind or breeze, dark night.

Description: I was outside with my partner, welcoming in New Year and watching fireworks over the rooftops nearby, when we noticed 3 large orange orbs flying towards us, high overhead, just inland of the sea, moving directly East to West. They moved at constant speed but in a clear triangle formation. They were large orbs or balls, and bright orange in colour. They appeared to be flying as high as usual commercial aircraft would over this area, estimate maybe 15,000ft, but with no sound or blinking of lights (we're both very familiar with various aircraft lights, living on flight-paths of Gatwick, Heathrow and a small local airport). These were much, much larger than aircraft lights, and much brighter, steady orange lights.

Given the height they were at, they must have been of considerable size!

They reached a certain point in sky, still over the coastline, almost directly in line with the house, then seemed to shoot upwards and vanish one after another.

Several minutes later, another 3 appeared from same direction, and followed exactly the same sequence and triangle formation, reaching the same point in sky, in line with the house, then suddenly moved upwards and vanished.

I took a short video on the mobile phone, but it has not captured them anywhere near as clearly as could be seen with naked eye. I took a few still pics also, but these have come out as showing the objects as white circles or disc shaped, and not as clear or bright as what we could see ourselves.

We couldn't take our eyes off them, even though we were freezing cold and would rather have gone back into the warm house, we stood there discussing what we had seen. My partner is very logical and analytical and tried to find a possible rational explanation but couldn't find any to fit what we saw.

We were still stood discussing it when another 3 appeared, and again they followed the same path and formation before moving upwards vertically and vanishing, one by one, in the same spot. Then a final one, travelling alone, and seemingly much brighter and larger than the previous ones flew over. This too disappeared upwards in same location.

There was no wind, and no logical explanation for the triangle formation, flight path nor the sudden upwards movement before vanishing. They were definitely not fireworks, and from the size, height, speed, flight path and formation (and sudden upwards movement before vanishing) they definitely weren't balloons, planes or helicopters. We did wonder if they could be something related with the military, but we are within commercial airspace here, and even then we could not work out what sort of military craft could disappear so suddenly like these things did, or move so silently.

We were both 100% sober (non-drinkers), nor are we taken to flights of fancy. My partner has never seen a UFO before. I've had one brief daylight UFO sighting in the past, witnessed by others, but am not a UFO spotter or anything of that ilk.

Later on, we joked about not going outside alone in case one of us was "beamed up", we were only joking about it, as neither of us is afraid of being outside in the dark or anything like that, however, the fact is we were both a bit spooked by it. There was a strange and eerie feel about the whole thing. We both felt (independently of each other) almost as if maybe we had been spotted, or had been watched by these things, before they disappeared in the same spot above the house. We each had a sense that maybe they were watching us as much as we were watching them! Sounds strange, but true.

It's certainly given us something to ponder in 2009!

There may be plenty of other people who saw them? It was New Year, so quite likely a few folks were outside watching fireworks? Would be good to know if anyone else saw these unidentified flying orange lights!

-----

UFOINFO Note: As with other similar reports I asked the witness to have a look at the UFO Balloons website to see if this is what might have been seen and received the following reply:

Hello,

I did check the balloons video. It's possible this is what we saw, but I wouldn't have expected balloons to fly in such exact formation, nor suddenly ascend at exactly the same spot and vanish, especially with no wind, unless by large coincidence. Also, these looked more clearly like lights, as opposed to flames. But we'll keep an open mind. Best wishes!
