Bright Light With Orange Yellow Tail Over Stockport Northwest England Cheshire UK

Time:  Approx: 9:45 p.m.

 

About 9:45 p.m. this evening March 3rd, 2012, over the Stockport (north west England Cheshire area) I saw what started as a very bright light travelling towards me and past me in the sky.

 

I noticed it had a very long bright orange/yellow trail.

 

Travelling north south direction. I thought it may have been a firework, continued to watch it for approximately 40 seconds. The tail seemed to get smaller and object disappeared out of view.

 

It would be interesting to know what this was?

 

It seems to me that if it was a meteor then it was very large?

Yellow Red Object With Fiery Tail Seen Over Cheshire North West England UK

Hi Brian, sounds like I saw the same light in Cheshire. Can't give a precise time but between 9:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.

It was yellowy red and had a fiery tale behind it. It curved across the sky and then disappeared from view. I ran to the back of the house but couldn't see it. It was heading south.

Please let me know if you find out what it was. I have never seen anything like it. Thought it was a firework at first.

20 Orange Balls Of Light Traveled Over Ellesmere Port Cheshire England UK

Time:  Between 10:30 p.m. and 11:50 p.m.

 

Last night between 10:30 p.m. and 11:50 p.m. my wife and I watched and video taped as exactly 20 orange balls moved across the E/Port area. They moved from east to west and some moved faster than others as if trying to catch up to the main group.

 

The first sighting was of two balls, then another two, then five, then one, then two and finally eight. The five and eight seemed to change shape from following in a line to becoming a triangle to then a diamond and then to a vertical line and so on.

 

Did anybody else see this or know what it was?

Red Circular Object With Orange Glow Over Lymm Cheshire North West England UK

Hi, I live in Lymm and during a walk down Whitbarrow Road with my partner and daughter about 6:30 p.m. Christmas Eve 2008. My partner noticed a red circular object with an orange glow. At first it moved quite slow towards us, then headed east towards Altrincham.

 

After being in sight for about 10 minutes it started to get further and further away before eventually disappearing. It left my 6 year old daughter thinking she had seen Santa and me and my partner truly confused. We regret the fact we didn't video it, as it is highly unlikely we will witness anything like that again.

Police Chase Orange Cigar Shaped UFO Over Runcorn In Cheshire UK

I too remember a similar incident, but with the local police in Runcorn U.K. chasing what seemed to them to be cigar shaped UFO, orange in colour. This was way back in the 1970s. This was reported in the local press.

 

Credible witnesses such as policemen are very important to the ongoing research for UFOlogists everywhere. I too have witnessed UFOs on many occasions. I just hope that one day soon, all these sightings will be proven to be extraterrestrial or otherwise.

Seven Orange Objects Over Winsford Cheshire UK (Photo)

The picture the eyewitness provided is from his collection and was filmed in October 2009.

 

Hi Brian, I have seen several such sightings around this area, best of all happened last night though, not sure how many there were in total as I only started to notice then when I stepped outside to go to the bin, but witnessed a steady stream of at least 7 orange orbs travel towards my house then, looked to spiral upwards and disappear.

Have a few videos of this, but they are fairly large (longest is over 100 mb) so can’t really email, have attached a picture though of a collection of orbs I saw in October 2009.

These were stationary before fading out then the top of the group moved into the same position as the one below it before they both faded.

Orange Red Ball Of Light Over Northwich Cheshire UK

Hi Brian, I know it’s been some time since you posted your orange red ball of light blog last June 2010, but after seeing it tonight, I did a search and your blog came up.

I live in Northwich Cheshire and I am used to aircraft in the landing pattern which land at Manchester airport. I also am familiar with the tracking of the ISS international space station which passes overhead at certain times of year and time of day etc., but what I saw was way different than anything I have seen before.

 

A quick check on the ISS tracking shows no visible sightings for 10:00pm on the 20th of May 2011, so I am at a loss to what this was.

I saw a what appeared to be just as you described, a large orange/red ball of light which moved faster than the normal airplanes that land at Manchester. It had no noise and it was larger than most airplanes that pass overhead. It had no aircraft flashing lights and moved much faster than a Chinese lantern that you can tell with the flickering flames in them. Anyway so I knew it wasn't one of them.

At first I thought it was an aircraft with it’s engine on fire, but as it got closer I could see it was just a big ball of light, no noise or other factors that could establish it was an aircraft.

It also seemed to move to slow to be a fireball or meteor, so am at a loss. If it was a fireball, it left no trail that I could see which is unusual, so I am stumped.

Anyway, sorry for pestering you, I just wanted to share my experience.

Two Fuzzy Lights Seen Over Middlewich Cheshire UK

Full Description of Event/Sighting: We were driving down King Street, Middlewich heading for the Salt Cellar for a meal. it was overcast and we saw two fuzzy lights in the sky ahead they were close together first travelling right to left then changing to travel left to right.

 

The lights did this a few times, then we had to turn left at the traffic lights and lost sight of them.

Fast Moving Bright Orange Light Davenport Stockport Cheshire UK

Hi there, I was out walking my dog on Friday 28th Jan when I saw this very bright orange light moving rapidly across the sky over Davenport, Stockport Cheshire at around 22.30. I thought the Aliens had found earth.

Bright Light Filmed By Witness Over Westfield Road Runcorn Cheshire UK (Photo)

Time: Between 7:20 a.m. and 7:25 a.m.

I originally sent this earlier this morning on, but I have now been able to upload to picture from my phone. I could not attach the picture on Hotmail so I have had to send it through my work e mail, this time with spell check! This sighting took place between 7:20am and 7:25am on the 27th January 2011.


As I was walking down Westfield road, just level with Westfield crescent, I noticed a bright light in the sky like a plane coming in to land from the direction of Liverpool airport. The light just seemed to hover, but I know from watching planes coming in to land that on certain angles they can give this impression. I kept watching for a couple of minutes and the light stayed where it was. I moved closer to a telegraph pole to use this as a point of reference as to whether the light was moving.

The light then slowly moved to my right, hovered, and then went from my view behind a rooftop.

Westfield road is quite elevated me giving a good view of Liverpool and Wales, so I judged this to be coming down somewhere near or on the river Mersey. I managed to rule out a plane landing at the air port, leaving just the possibility of it being a helicopter.

Now there was not a sound in the sky and the light beamed forward towards me and not down for the five minutes in which i watched it, leaving me to believe it wasn’t a police helicopter either.

This is the 3rd time I have seen this light at the same point over the last 6 months, which is why i gave it my full attention. I took a photo on my camera phone the 2nd time which was taken in daylight. When I adjusted the light settings on the phone it showed a black ball inside the light.

I managed to take a photo of this sighing with my new camera phone which was much much clearer and fully shows the large bright ball of light over the houses. Once I work out how to upload the picture onto my laptop (hopefully this weekend) I will e mail it to you so you can take a look at it. Hopefully you can adjust it to work out what it is.

Very odd to see this three times in the same place doing the same things each time in silence. There is a large chimney being built (The Incinerator) which was to my left which workmen on the top would have had a perfect view of the light if they were on top at that time. Regards.

Orange Light Over Runcorn Cheshire UK

Full Description of Event/Sighting: My husband and I arrived at the local pub, in the car for the New Year at the Pub (The Fiddlers Three) I had parked in the pub car park and noticed an orange light in the sky, jokingly, saying to my husband that 'there is a space ship' he looked up and saw it saying 'it will be a helicopter' It looked nothing like a helicopter.

We got out of the car and there was not a sound from the round orange object, husband suggested it could be a New Year lantern. Travelling in a straight line across the sky, I think not. We kept watching until it was no more than a pin prick in the sky. Both saying how very strange, no noise, orange, weird or what.

On leaving the pub at about 12.40am, again we saw the exact same object, round and orange, travelling the same sort of route. Again, mesmerized we watched it move across the sky until it disappeared.

High Pitched Rattles Windows Over Burnage/Heaton Mersey Stockport Cheshire UK

Brian, A neighbor of mine highlighted an incident on Wednesday morning at approximately 4:30am. He had got up to use the bathroom only to be interrupted by two high pitched noise’s, (separated by a few seconds) and then rattling of the house windows, following each noise.

The adjacent road has speed bumps and vehicles travelling at high speed ‘’bottom out’’ scrapping the body work, which was not heard on this occasion, nor did the noise have a build up as with a helicopter or plane, and subsequent decrease.

His impression was of something travelling at high speed, creating some pressure wave? Location Burnage/Heaton Mersey border on Barcicroft Road, Stockport Cheshire. Just wondered if any other reports had cropped up? Regards.

10 To 15 Bright Red Lights Over Warrington Cheshire UK

I live in Warrington, Cheshire. I went to put the dog outside last night at 12:15am and couldn't believe what I saw. I looked up in the direction of Orion's Belt and saw at least 10 - 15 bright red lights, passing over towards the south. No noise. They were in no formation, but all travelling in the same direction. I watched them for ten minutes and they disappeared south.

Orange Lights Seen Over Elton Cheshire UK

Hello Brian, having read a report on your website of orange lights over Elton, Cheshire. I would like you to know of my sighting. On Saturday evening (14/08/10) at about 23:50 hrs I was standing at my backdoor having a cigarette (The legal kind) and being a clear night I was looking up at the stars when I saw what I thought was an aircraft.

Elton being in close proximity to Liverpool and Manchester airports we see a fair amount of air traffic over the village. The light was orange in colour travelling from roughly the direction of Liverpool, heading toward Chester. The light seemed too big for an aircraft and there was no evidence of flashing lights (Navigation lights).

As it disappeared behind the roofline, I walked up the side of the house to the front to track its course. As it was just coming over the roofline I noticed another three orange lights ahead of it and another behind it, all heading in the same direction and the distance between each was roughly equal. I would say that they were at the same height as a light aircraft might operate, but I've never seen five aircraft in a line unless at some kind of air show/display which do not usually take place at almost midnight (do they). One other thing struck me as odd, there was no sound at all, no engines or rotors. Hope this helps.

9 Or 10 Bright Lights Over Northwich Cheshire UK

Further to the strange lights witnessed on the 4th June. I saw something very similar on 6th June (last night) at approx 22:35. About 9 or 10 very bright lights following one another, all coming from the same area and heading for the same point in the sky.

At first I thought that they must have been helicopters, but they were silent and very fast, and as they were all taking exactly the same direct path, I discounted any type of lantern. As noted previously they seemed to fade. It looked to me as if they were increasing in altitude!

Orange Red Ball Of Light Over Neston Wirral Cheshire UK

Hi this is really spooky, at 22:15hrs tonight, my wife spotted an orange red ball of light in the sky approaching from the north. We went in the front garden and watched this light travel overhead, eventually disappearing in the east.

There was absolutely no noise whatsoever, and there was no indication of any flashing lights. I took some photos, but all that it shows is an orange dot in the sky. Never really took much notice of UFO’s etc, but this really happened in front of us – can't believe it.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was coming home from the local pub and noticed round orange lights in the sky ahead of me, they obviously were not any kind of aircraft I know of. They were round and orange and when close up looked like fireballs. One would fly over stop for a few seconds and shoot off into the distance without making any noise, then another would follow and shoot off in the same direction as the other one.

I saw 5 doing the same thing, they were timed to perfection, my dad and one of my neighbours also saw it happening, the only thing I think they could be are Chinese lanterns, whatever they were it was mesmerizing to watch.

Red Lights Over Sandbach Cheshire UK - Chinese Lanterns

Can't seem to comment on you're blog, but thought I'd email you to say we live in Sandbach Cheshire and saw loads of these red lights at about 12.30am, they just kept on coming. We saw two at first and thought they were planes following the same path, then the one at the rear got closer to the first one, then other lights just kept coming, very strange.

Some people have suggested Chinese lanterns, not so sure as they were moving too fast. Thanks.

10-15 Round Orange Lights Over Northwich Cheshire UK

Hi, A very unusual experience just after midnight on Jan 1st 2010, Northwich, Cheshire. I went outside to 'let out the old year and bring in the new' about 12.15am to see in a clear sky between 10-15 round orange objects. They were moving from a North/Northwesterly direction on a similar path. No sound or no aircraft lights. After travelling across the sky, they disappeared. The experience was witnessed by both myself and my wife. Any ideas?
