Nine Lights Over Kirkham Between Blackpool And Preston Lancashire UK

Dear Brian, I have just Googled UFOs sighted last night. I'd like to tell you about my sighting.

I live at Kirkham, between Blackpool and Preston Lancashire. Last night (Tuesday) at about 10 past eight, my husband and I were out for our evening stroll. It was a dark cloudless evening. We were walking south down a country lane, when in the sky in front of us we noticed what appeared to be a bright light. For a second or two we watched it, thinking it was a plane, although not on a usual flight path.

As it approached, it was silent, no noise what so ever, then in the distance a second light appeared. The first one pasted by heading north, followed by the second. In total we think we counted nine, in five to ten minutes. All nine travelled from south to north in a straight line evenly spaced. They appeared just the same as you described your sighting. Harlow, Essex UK Nine Orange Lights

Number of objects: Approx: 9.
Shape of objects: Orange light
Weather Conditions: average. Dry and dark.

Description: Minimum 9 orange lights in a general straight line, going across the sky from West to East. From Harlow, they were to the North. Speed approx that of a passenger airplane. As they reached a certain point by a cloud, they suddenly changed direction to go straight upwards and increased speed dramatically until disappeared. Some of the witnesses thought the front light was larger than the following lights.

UFOINFO Note: As with other similar reports I asked the witness to have a look at the UFO Balloons website to see if this is what might have been seen and received the following reply:

I’ve had a watch of the video you sent, but can’t see this being an explanation. These quite uncontrolled balloons would be hard pushed to carry out the movements that these lights performed.

They went horizontally across the sky for about a mile at a guess, in almost perfect convoy.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m being quite skeptical, and class UFO as it’s description, ie: unidentified.

I would guess that it is a convoy of aircraft that is not usually privy to this area. It’s just I’ve never heard of a commercial aircraft in this area to have only a static amber light.

I bear in mind, however, we are near a commercial airport (Stansted) and also various air bases. This is what leads me to believe it is possibly military aircraft linked.

Full Description of event/sighting: I saw nine orange lights in the sky in no particular formation all separate objects, no usual aircraft flashing lights,difficult to say but could have spread out about 2 miles over the sky all heading in the same direction not altering formation, no noise.

Description: group of 6 people sitting in a garden, all of sudden 9 orange lights appeared in this formation: 1,3,2 slight gap then 2 more then a final one. the lights moved across the sky in silence, then rose into the sky and vanished
