Date: April 12, 2011
Time: 10:30 p.m.I looked at sky to observe Lyrid meteors and noticed an irregularly blinking orange light, at apparent center of faint triangle, near Regulus in Leo. Object moved north across sky with high cloud, disappearing behind trees in northwest after about one minute.
There was little or no wind at ground level. Could not rule out single Chinese Lantern, but appearance and fairly rapid movement suggests object was not lantern.
If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.
