Reddish Orange Lights Seen Over Rustenburg South Africa

Date:  February 18, 2012
Time:  Evening.

Good day, Saturday 18 February, I seen something just popup in the sky, it was  a reddish orange thing, could not describe it, but it was moving slowly of our area. The best part of all there were about 4-5 of them. I caught it on my mobile, but not good quality.

Then I ran around the house, and switch off all the lights.  Then we saw the same thing in the sky,  but it looks like the thing that burns in the sky. This was not the first that we seen this.  Last year November – December the same thing was seen by my friend in the same area from the same property.

So I do have the video clip of that, but struggle to upload it. Chat again soon.

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

Reddish Orange Fireball Over Peterborough And Huntingdon UK

Date: April 16th to the 30th 2011
Time: Approx: 10:00 p.m.

My wife and I have seen 2 cases like this over the past 2 weeks. The first over our house in Peterborough, I went out around 10:00pm to put the rubbish out and right in front of me just above the rising moon was a reddish-orange fireball. I say fireball because the light looked more like a flame than a light. Bigger than the lights from an aircraft and one constant mass, no flashing.

I called my wife who happened to be close by and she came out and watched it with me as it moved towards us and overhead. I grabbed our binoculars and gave them to her while I went to get the camera. She tracked it in the binoculars and saw a black oval mass with flame towards the rear. As it went overhead the flame subsided and she could still see the black mass, to large to be a meteor. I tried to catch it with the video camera, but couldn't get it in frame and we lost it.

The 2nd last night from our hotel room in Huntingdon. I looked out of the window around 10:00pm and saw a similar object approach from the right. It crossed at a speed a little quicker than a helicopter. It was bright orange, more light than flame this time. Again I called my wife and we both watched in awe as it sped past. No blinking or flashing just bright orange. It seemed to intensify as it is passed and then we lost it to the left.

Somebody else must have seen these things. They were very clear, low on the horizon and quite large.

4 Reddish Colored Lights Over Western Slovakia (Central Europe)

Date: December 26, 2010
Time: Approx: 9:00 p.m.

Hello, we have (me, my farther, mom and nephew) seen similar sighting on 26 December 2010 as described by many here. But we live in western Slovakia (Central Europe). We saw about 4 of them at around 9:00pm of our: Central European Time.
Coming from west (where Jupiter was visibly located) to south (Sirius position), sky was clear to easily identify Jupiter and Sirius.

Color similar as described here: of sodium streetlights though just slightly more reddish. Launching from the same spot (first 2 around same time, then one by one) from around Jupiter location, having almost direct axis trajectory and coming to position of Sirius where they stopped and vanished (moved a peak).

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

Bright Reddish Glowing Light Over Sudbury Suffolk UK

Date: September 21, 2010
Time: Approx: 8:00 p.m.

Hello, just after 8:00pm tonight I was walking along a street in Sudbury, Suffolk to meet a friend after a class and noticed a bright reddish glowing light moving in the sky. I was with two other people coming out of the class at the time, one of whom commented on the 'red star'. We just assumed it was an aeroplane, but then thought it odd that nothing was flashing, there was just the one constant light coming from this object.

Then, a second one followed behind it, identical. I parted from the people I was with at that point and continued on my way alone, only to be amazed to see coming up from my left another orangey-red glow, and then another, and then another, and another each one perfectly identical, all evenly spaced out and moving quite fast (at least I assume from their possible altitude, as they didn't look like they could be that close) all in the same direction in a line, silently.

I couldn't believe what I was seeing, it just looked so odd to see this line of lights moving above me and I couldn't explain them. I ran to my friend's house so he could see them too while they were still in the sky, we both stood outside and stared up amazed. We tried to focus on one and it seemed to be like a glowing orb. It reminded me of an elongated hot-air balloon, sort of globular above and pinky-red, with a more intense orangey glow at the bottom.

We looked towards the direction that they were heading but the ones that I had first seen had already disappeared. I'm not sure how many I had witnessed altogether, possibly about 7 or 8 (wish I'd counted!). It was brilliant to see something so weird, so when I got back home tonight I Googled straight away and found your site. And so it seems this is not the first time glowing orange discs have been seen over Sudbury!

I know people talk about weather balloons being mistaken as UFOs, but I don't know what they look like so I don't know if these could be such a thing, and I realize that they may well turn out to be something a lot less interesting than something extra-terrestrial. But they were beautiful, I'm glad I saw them, and I would love to know more - one way or another.

Best wishes.

Reddish Orange Orb/Light Over Mullingar Westmeath UK

Date: December 18, 2009
Time: Approx: 7:00 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Mullingar Westmeath
Number of witnesses: 5
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Orb.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I had just arrived back from town with some shopping. I made it as far as the kitchen when my girlfriend yelled for me, she had answered the door and seen something above my head in the distance. When I went to check it out, she asked what it could be. I had no idea as it was about a mile away and fairly low in the sky. A reddish orange in colour, orb shaped but constantly changing slightly like the inside of a lava lamp. It held there stationary for about 4 minutes then started to move left at a steady pace, at this time the kids were upset as they were watching and could not understand what it was. My girlfriend and I decided that we would see better from our bedroom window but by the time we had got there it was a mere speck in the distance must have travelled fast to get so far so quickly. Then it vanished somewhere towards Athlone direction.

5 Bright Reddish Orange Lights Over Eglinton Derry Northern Ireland

Date: January 1, 2010
Time: Approx: 9:45 p.m.

Hello, on the 1st of January 2010 me and my two friends witnessed 5 bright reddish orange lights travel from west to east in the sky at around 21:45. They moved at moderate speed and when they travelled past the moon, they seemed to fade slowly out of sight and disappear before our eyes. They travelled in a curved line and two of the lights moved more slowly than the rest. This is the first time any of us experienced this kind of activity and we were amazed. Spotted in the village on Eglinton Co. Derry in northern Ireland. What could it have been? Sent from my iPhone.

Hyde, NR Stockport, Cheshire, England Six Bright Reddish/Yellow Orbs

Posted: October 25, 2008

Date: September 22nd 2008
Time: 2130 to 2200

Number of witnesses: 4
Number of objects: 6
Shape of objects: Bright reddish/yellow sparkly orbs. Must have been very large spheres as were 1/2000 feet up - at first thought they were helicopters but as they went over realized there was no sound and the light was contained within the orbs - no headlights etc.
Weather Conditions: clear night - no wind.

Description: Each one went over at 2/3 minute intervals, no sound, travelling from North to Southwest. Moved swiftly but in a straight line. Each one went along the same flight path.

We are right on the landing flight path for Manchester Airport, but these were not anything I have seen before.

My next door neighbor watched them go over at the same time, also the proprietor of a small off license nearby and a passing lady pedestrian (who was a little frightened/spooked by them).

Completely round - didn't look anything like the UFO balloons on your site.

TV/Radio: Not heard of any media coverage.
