Hi, I saw something alike to your description in Wolverhampton last night (18/03/2012) at about 10:45 p.m. It seemed to be not very high in the sky and looked like a ball of "fire".

 

It is impossible for this to be an aircraft in my eyes. The object sailed across the sky, then disappeared off into the distance. What was it?

Orange Red Globe Fell Quickly Downward At Bilston Wolverhampton West Midlands UK

Time: 10:15 - 10:30 p.m.

Direction: North-West and West.

Weather conditions: 20% cloud otherwise, clear, dark sky. Few stars apparent. Still, quiet night. No wind.

Observed by me and my spouse.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: We observed a stationary orange-red globe. North west. It was stationary for minimum 5 minutes. Then extremely rapid fell straight down, disappearing behind trees on the horizon. There was no sound of explosion, even though one was expected as it should have hit the ground at high speed.

At same time, a second sphere. Again stationary, although dimmer, and flashing red/green, more towards west.

Observers went indoors. 30 minutes later, second sphere had disappeared. Manner of disappearance unknown.

Orange Bright Lights Over Tettenhall Wolverhampton England UK

Shape of Objects: Orange lights looked to be like jets.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Standing outside work with colleague, she pointed out, "That's a weird star". I then looked and the first object seemed slowly, but silently to fly above us, about a mile high, followed by 3 others, the other 3 in a small group. The first then seemed to slow, then its bright light literally vanish into a small dot as it sped upwards very fast followed by the others, eventually disappearing.

17 Orange Lights Seen Over Lanesfield Wolverhampton UK‏

Time: Approx: 21:45 to 22:15

Hello Brian, last night 2nd April 2010 approximately 21:45 to 22:15 me and my wife saw 17 orange lights travelling south to north following one another approximately 1 - 1.5 minutes apart. They appeared to be at about 1,000 to 1500 feet high moving at 120 to 200mph. Through my binoculars they were pulsing and appeared to be conical in shape, they were completely silent.

We live to one side of the flight path to/from East Birmingham Air Port so are familiar with all aircraft, their sounds and their movements, these were definitely not any craft that I have ever experienced. Regards.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: The staff were about to leave the hospital office, when a light was observed over lower Penn, then suddenly 8 lights in total were counted. These appeared to come toward the hospital, then they disappeared to the left hand side.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Myself and my sister-in-law were outside my parents house talking, when a round red object appeared from the sky at roof top level. It didn't make any noise and we convinced ourselves that it was a plane. Several members of my family saw this object on Saturday night 20/2/2010 around 6.45pm.

Bright Orange Glowing Objects Over Lanesfield Wolverhampton‏ UK

Hi Brian just found your blog. My girlfriend and I spotted two large round bright orange glowing objects flying over our house on Monday January 18 th at precisely 6.30 pm GMT. We both live in Lanesfield Wolverhampton, England. First I was on my computer when my girlfriend came in from the garden to say something strange was in the sky. I went out and saw a big glowing orange object flying across the sky. There was no noise at all. I tried to take a picture, but it was moving at pace and my phone was too slow.

Anyhow shaken by what I'd seen, I returned inside then a minute later my girlfriend shouted, there's another one. I went outside to see an identical object flying in exactly the same direction as the first for some reason. I tried to video it on my phone, but after found the phone, it didn't record. I wished I had a better phone. Anyhow just thought I'd share with you.

Orange Lights Over Wolverhampton Staffordshire Border UK

Full Description of Event/Sighting: We were watching some great local New Year fireworks from our bedroom window, when I noticed what I thought at first was a small glowing ember. Then another appeared, I kind of assumed they were helicopters, we checked the time, 12.15am. Then more appeared, at one point there were 5 bright orange lights very close together seemingly stationary above the firework display from where we were, I would consider that dangerous for normal aircraft!

We opened the windows to try to hear them or catch them on camera, and they weren't at all noisy, only the sound of the fireworks. They moved slowly away in different directions, then 2 reappeared to the right again these were very still in the sky until they moved south, followed by one which seemed closer and moving fairly fast from the east, this one joined the other two and they disappeared from our view southwards at about 12.35am. Must admit I was more interested in this weird sighting than the fireworks! Any explanations would be appreciated.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I noticed the orange object floating in the distant as I was parking my car. As we got out of the car, it started moving at high speed to the right. What I really noticed was there was no sound at all, but the object appeared to be flying quite low. It was not far enough for me not to hear it, if it was a helicopter etc. The object was flying very smoothly and was quite surreal.

Three Orange Lights And UFOs Over Wolverhampton West Mids UK

Noticed the blog on New Years days UFOs. Both me and my wife witnessed 3 of these at 12.20am. No noise what so ever and I don't think lanterns are rocket propelled. It was fascinating. I have witnessed a few of these over the year, but of different shapes and speed. The most wondrous over the last 12 months where I have been in my back garden and has seen orbs. The first one was just sitting there as I opened the back door and it was approx: 500mtrs away from me. It then shot up and out of sight. The second one was about August this past year. I was having a smoke outside and this orb came from my left or the east. It suddenly stopped shining brightly for 2 seconds then again shot off faster than the speed of light upwards. Full Description of Event/Sighting: strange round shaped lights moving very fast in different directions all orange coloured, but always in groups of 3 or more we couldn't believe what we were seeing, the objects were going in various directions north and south travels to high for helicopters and making no noise.

23 Orange Colored Lights Over Sedgley Near Wolverhampton UK (New Year)

Time: Between 10.30 p.m. and 1.00 a.m.

Hi Brian, I live in Sedgley near Wolverhampton and this evening between 10.30 and 1.00, my Partner and I saw a total of 23 orange lights/orbs/ufos all going north to south, one went right over our house and it was silent. Definably not a plane or a Chinese lantern (too big for a lantern). I was totally gobsmacked at this. I registered my sighting on ukufo site and have been trying to get back there to update the story, but it appears the site is now down.

England, Wolverhampton UK A Longish Rectangular/Triangle Shape

Shape of objects: Longish rectangular/triangle shape.

Full Description of event/sighting: I was playing football in the back garden. Afterwards I went to sit down on the grass, as I was relaxing something had caught my eye in the sky. So it got me looking up at sky as I was trying to find what got my attention, eventually I could see what it was, it looked to be shiny/metallic largish object. I would guess it was about few hundred or several hundred feet up in the sky (hard to estimate) but it was in view range.

Well anyway this object kept on blinking in and out of sequence was kind of hard to keep a track of it, for every half a second to say about a second it kept flashing in and out it kept doing this for the majority of the sighting, which lasted for about 10-15mins. I thought is this object flashing because the sun was reflecting off it, because it was a hot sunny day, this object looked to have some sort of controlled appearance to it, like an intelligence, similar to what a satellite does. I have no clue what I witnessed but it was nothing I have ever seen before, I lost the object as i went to go get my binoculars, I came back, and I couldn't find this thing.
