Cylindrical UFO Caught On Film Over South Perth Western Australia (Pictures)

Full Description of Event/Sighting: On the April 18, 2010, I attended the Red Bull Air Race in Perth, Western Australia. I am an amateur photographer, and was keen to get some shots of the show from the southern side of the river facing the city.

I took over 200 shots on the day, and whilst I noticed nothing at the time, I later found an object in 3 of the shots during post processing of the photographs (I saw nothing at the time, however given the speed of what appears in the shot, and with the viewfinder of my camera up to my eyes for much of the day, I wouldn't expect to see anything).

The photos were taken at 1:08 p.m., according to the camera timer. I took 3 photos in less than 1 second total, in accordance with the Canon 500D DSLR specs. Each of the 3 photos was taken at 1/80th of a second, in both JPEG and RAW format.

The 3 photos show a stationary news helicopter on the left, and a competitor's plane in the center which appears to hardly move in the 3 shots despite travelling at speed vertically, such was the speed of the 3 photos taken.

The object in the background (or is it a small object close to the lens?) baffles me. It appears to be moving very fast. It is either large, distant and extremely fast moving, or just the opposite.

It appears to have no tail such as a meteor might have, and in fact may also be travelling in a slightly upwards direction.

The photos were taken into the sun with a polarizer filter on, and with smoke haze from the aircraft, they did not turn out like I would have liked.

My only adjustments to them, however, relate to color and contrast, with no changes to the object in question itself.

This is the first time I have reported the photos as a sighting. A while ago I sent them to a Ufologist in Australia and the conclusion was that they may be an insect up close, in the absence of any other information.

I have my doubts however, to me it looks large, fast and distant. For that reason I have decided to report what I have, and let others decide.

Considering the kind of photo this is, following a fast moving stunt plane under such excellent lighting conditions across several frames and excellent information from the photographer, the unknown cylindrical object is clearly moving extremely fast -- the lack of blurring almost surely eliminates the possibility of this being a bug passing close by the camera (which can often create the illusion of a high speed craft covering great distances).

In this case also we have in the last frame the object much smaller showing it has moved further away from the photographer, and yetremains sharply defined. All in all, this is an excellent UFO photograph.

Two Orange Lights Over Mountain Kleinmond Western Cape South Africa

Saw two orange lights over Kleinmond mountain at approximately 21:45 moving from east to west. Lights lasted approx 10 minutes.

3 Lights In The Sky Over Sunset Beach Milnerton Western Cape South Africa

Fast Moving Orange Colored UFO Seen Over Tyger Falls Belville Western Cape South Africa

Hi Brian, in reference to the Cape Town sighting on 12 March 2012:

I saw something similar, but on Sunday 18 March 2012.

 

I'm an avid stargazer and love astronomy and everything associated. Around after 8:00 p.m. I was lying on my couch in the lounge in Tyger Falls, Belville (about 30 minute drive from Table View), and had a clear view of the sky.

 

There are normally planes flying over towards the airport, but I am accustomed to the sound, and have been gazing long enough to know the lights and sounds of airplanes.

 

I went onto my balcony to have a better look at what I at first thought was a star. It was orange (no flashing lights), was high up, stationery, then proceeded to move away very fast in the opposite direction and just dropped behind the cliff area.

I am almost certain that this was a UFO. It’s movement and light was very different to a plane. And definitely not a satellite. Kind regards.

White Lights Turn Red Over Malmesbury Western Cape South Africa

Disc Shaped Object Blue With Red Orange Yellow Tail Over Gordon's Bay Western Cape South Africa

Time:  Approx: 1:00 a.m.

Location of Sighting: S34 09.501 E18 53.047, Gordon's Bay, Western Cape, South Africa
Number of witnesses: 2 people, myself and my friend.

 

Dear Brian, I was laying down in my garden with a friend of mine, looking at the sky while we were talking. We both saw it very clearly!

The object was flying very fast (estimate at 2-3000 km/h) in a straight line from north to south, at quite a low altitude and in absolute silence. 

It seemed to be a disc shape with 5 or 6 reactors turned downwards showing a beautiful 'Spielberg' blue color (like a gas stove).

There was also a comet tail at least twice the size of the object and with more red/orange/yellow color added to the blue.

I have seen what I would call UFO in the past, but this one was incredibly beautiful and so close!

I have checked the web, but so far no sign of other witness maybe it is too soon? If you find something or have an explanation, please let me know! Kind regards.

Bright Hovering UFO With Antennas Over Churchlands Western Australia

Time:  2:15 p.m.

 

On 30 May 2009 at 2:15 p.m., I passed on Pearson Street, Churchlands, heading north to Innaloo (Western Australia). I saw a bright thing in the north sky, a round thing with two facing down antennas, stood still in the sky.

 

A few minutes later, clouds covered it. A few minutes later, I saw the thing moved fast upward, left two jet-like trails, and then I couldn't see again, because it headed to where the sun was.

 

What was it? I don't know, but if somebody else also saw it, maybe can inform me and from that we can conclude what it was. Sorry, I couldn't take a photo of it. Thank you.

Orange Lights West Of George Western Cape South Africa

Date: December 11, 2011 and January 1, 2012

Time: 11:30 p.m. up to 12:15 a.m.

Hi Brian, on New Years eve at about 11:30 up to 12:15 we also saw these lights. We were a few people that saw these orange lights and it was also over the Outeniqua mountains.

They appear to stand still and then start flickering and the disappeared at great speed into thin air. They were also in a tri angle, but also were in a straight line. We first saw them on the right of the Outeniqua pass. On the horizon and later more to the west of George.

The last ones was coming lower in from the west and at first we thought it was an airplane coming into land, but it was bright orange with no landing lights and also did definitely not landed. It also started flickering and the disappeared into thin air.
After all the people left our place, I was still looking for these lights UP to 2:30 but there was nothing.

I am also puzzled about it.

Bright Orange Light Fall From The Sky Over Lake Monger Towards Leederville Western Australia

Time:  Approx: 4:00 p.m.

 

Today, 28 June 2009 at approximately 4:00 p.m. my son and I were travelling east past Lake Monger toward Leederville. We saw a bright orange light falling from the sky.

 

This had a smoke trail and was definitely close - within approximately 5km and falling from the sky.

 

We were quite astounded, unfortunately no pictures. If anyone else saw it we would like to hear.

Two Yellow Orange Lights Over Great Western Road Hyndland Glasgow United Kingdom

Time:  Evening.

 

I saw the same thing two days ago (8th November 2008). From Great Western Road (Hyndland) I noticed two orange/yellow lights moving from southwest to northeast, and when these were almost out of sight, another two appeared.

 

This time slightly further apart. Again, about one minute later another two appeared, one in front of the other. Has anyone else seen this? I have a bad quality video which I will upload onto YouTube under 'Glasgow UFO Sighting'.

Bright Orange Light Over Rockingham Western Australia

 

Date:  April 12, 2011

Time:  8:00 p.m.

 

I noticed a bright orange light in the southwest, it was still. I watched it for a few minutes when it started to moved across the sky to the north. It began to flicker - fade as it moved!

 

It disappeared and then reappeared brighter than a star, but back in the south of the sky, again it started to move slowly across the sky to the north.

 

It flickered and swayed from side to side, the light then faded, but I could still see a white formation in the sky still moving to the north. I then lost sight of it, the whole duration was about 10 minuets.

15 Bright Orange Lights Over Outeniqua Mountains At George Western Cape South Africa

 

Date:  May 11, 2011

Time:  Approx: 8:30 p.m.

 

Dear Brian, a friend of mine saw bright orange lights over the Outeniqua mountains at George yesterday evening, at about 18:30, from a north eastern direction. The lights appeared to move slowly towards George, and then slowly move away and disappeared.

In total about 15 lights appeared and then vanished. Some lights appeared alone and some in clusters of three or more. The shape of the objects were round like a small bright sun.

When the lights disappeared it looks like a black object was hanging in the sky. This lasted for about half an hour.

Is there an explanation for this ? We doubt that it is any planet movements a radio station suggested this afternoon.

About 20 Bright Orange Lights Over Vredendal Western Cape South Africa

Time: Evening.

Hi Brian, I’ve seen a similar appearance tonight , I live in Vredendal on the west coast and noticed about 20 of these bright orange light formatted in a circle and followed by another 5 orange lights , almost looking like a tail following the circle.

They moved slowly towards the east with no sound hear able and then disappeared. They must be very low as it is overcast tonight.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was on my local beach. It was a dark night when I looked toward my left to the point far away in the distance. It was dark. It turned then, I looked back and saw a bright light which looked to be like a really bright motorbike light (at the beach point)

It gradually moved toward me very fast. It had star like beams radiating out from a bright light in the middle. It looked to be fast approaching me along the beach and it really scared me. I ran back to my car. There was no sound whatsoever. I drove to another point high up on the hill and went to the beach path looking downward onto the beach (took 2 minutes to get there) There was no light on the beach?

10 Fire Colored Lights Over Green Point Western Cape South Africa

Orange UFO Just Disappears Over Beaconsfield Western Australia

Time: Early morning.

Hi There, Early this morning my dog was barking outside, so when I went to see what was up, the sky outside had an orange/red appearance like a fire. When I looked up to the northwest skies, I saw a object like a craft of some type (not plane etc., as no noise) which was orange in colour about the size of a thumb nail.

I was looking at it for about 5-10 seconds and then the object disappeared as if something turned the switch of to stop it glowing. The object seemed to be stationary. When this happened the sky went back to normal colour. I live in Beaconsfield Western Australia.

When I Googled the subject I saw your site and thought you might be interested. Would be interested to know your thoughts. Thanks for reading this email. Unfortunately have no photos but genuine in what I saw.

Bright Orange Light Moves Over Witnesses In Vredehoek Western Cape South Africa

Date: January 8, 2011

Time: Evening.

Last night we witnessed a bright orange light moving from the harbor towards us in Vredehoek. It had no flashing lights so it wasn't an airplane. As it came closer we noticed it was glowing brighter and it's size and shape as well as close proximity ruled it out as a satellite.

Although it now seemed to be burning almost like a satellite burning up on re-entry, except that it then changed direction and veered off to the right with what appeared to be flames and smoke being emitted from the left of the bright light. It then headed off to the right and slowly grew dimmer then completely faded away.

Duration of event about a minute giving us time to grab binoculars for a closer look. Even magnified we could not I D the object. Anyone else witness this?

4 Reddish Colored Lights Over Western Slovakia (Central Europe)

Hello, we have (me, my farther, mom and nephew) seen similar sighting on 26 December 2010 as described by many here. But we live in western Slovakia (Central Europe). We saw about 4 of them at around 9:00pm of our: Central European Time.
Coming from west (where Jupiter was visibly located) to south (Sirius position), sky was clear to easily identify Jupiter and Sirius.

Color similar as described here: of sodium streetlights though just slightly more reddish. Launching from the same spot (first 2 around same time, then one by one) from around Jupiter location, having almost direct axis trajectory and coming to position of Sirius where they stopped and vanished (moved a peak).

Multiple UFO Sightings Over The Township Of Kalannie Western Australia

Date: 1967, 1968, and 1979.
Time: Dawn, 9:00 p.m. and dawn respectively.

Location of Sighting: Farmhouse and township of Kalannie.
Number of witnesses: My whole family and myself.
Number of Objects: One at each sighting.
Shape of Objects: 2 were disks and the latter was a cigar shape.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Hi, I have been fortunate to witness three separate UFO sightings through my life, plus several other unexplained things in the skies, but when I was around 8 years old, I got to see a 20 feet round disk hovering in-between the shed and our house, (my whole family saw it too) and while it was totally silent, it was spinning very slowly and moving away, until it vanished behind the tree belt at the back of our house block.

It was a silver metal and had portholes, but not sign of movement. The second sighting was above the house, very high up, an object with multiple coloured lights was just sitting, for some time, and then it just shot straight up within a few seconds it had gone, no sound again, and obviously a round disk shape.

The third sighting I had was a huge 1 kilometer long silent black cigar, hanging above the entire town I was from. I watched it for about 10 minutes, then it just vanished. I consider myself to be really lucky to have witnessed these strange things, and hope to see more in my lifetime. Thanks for your time.
