Saw red light over Mount Carmel earlier.

Hi, Mount Carmel at Schagen West of Nelspruit towards Jhb.

Hi, it was last night. (Thursday 5 February) at about 20:00). I'm not sure about the time.

From our veranda here on the farm, I looked at Mount Carmel to the west and saw a red light just lower than the tall tower light that is at the top of the mountain.

My hubby said it must be a Vodacom tower, but after a few minutes, it disappeared.

It could not have been a Vodacom tower light then, hey?

Orange Ball Of Light Floating Through The Sky Over Kempton Park Rewlatch South Africa

Orange/Red Lights Flying Over Hillcrest eThekwini In KwaZulu-Natal South Africa

Date:  January 10, 2015
Time:  Approximately 8:05 p.m.

This evening at about 21.05 my family and I noted an orange/red light moving steadily at reasonable low altitude over the Durban Sky, moving from North to South. The light seemed to be a large glowing ball, not pulsating nor blinking.

It moved in a relatively straight line, but seemed to go up and then slightly down. It moved steadily and crossed our line of sight in about a minute to a minute and a half.

This was followed by another almost identical occurrence about two to three minutes later and then again in three minutes another. The third occurrence seemed to be slightly lower in the sky.

This has not been the first sighting that we have made. Over the past year we have had several such sightings, but on those occasions we only saw one such sighting.

We live about 30 km inland NE of Durban (Hillcrest, Kwazulu Natal, 29.8 S, 30.8 E.)

The nights have been crystal clear and cool summer night.

The sighting have never been accompanied by sounds or other lights.

Unknown Orange Light Spotted Flying Over Germiston South Africa

It definitely was not an aircraft as it crossed the flight path to O R Tambo and was completely silent.

Blue Flash Of Light Then Witness Observes Cylinder Shaped UFO Over Boksburg South Africa

Hi there, strange enough, but last year I was travelling down Atlas road in Boksburg and noticed a blue flash of light in the sky. When I looked up I saw what looked like a cylinder shape object travelling at extreme high speed towards the airport.

I saw this for about 10 seconds and then it completely vanished. I then searched Google and see that on the same day someone else saw the exact same thing.

This is so strange cause it was definitely an object not from here. It would never be allowed to fly close to the airport. Have you had any more sightings of this or similar. Thanks.

5 To 6 Orange Lights In The Sky Over Benoni Gauteng South Africa

We have just seen 5-6 orange lights flying in the same direction over Benoni at 2:15 a.m. in groups of two.

Very strange and definitely not aircraft.

UFOs Over Barbados And Morocco Africa/Southwest England/Prague Czech Republic

I have seen many lights moving silently across the night sky. They couldn't have been satellites because they sometimes would turn and scoot off in a different direction. The first ones I noticed with my wife left each other at right angles.

Satellites or any known flying objects wouldn't be able to do that. I saw some over the coast of Barbados and Morocco, Africa. Also over southwest England with my wife and son and over Prague Czech Republic.

A few times I've had very close encounters, twice with my wife alongside.

Red Circular Object Flew Over Daveyton Township Next To Benoni South Africa

 Date:  December 2013
Time:  Evening.

I noticed the same unidentified flying object that same day. I was in Daveyton, a township next to Benoni. It was December and so I thought it was some kind of powerful fireworks. I ruled that out.

I thought that perhaps Russia or the US have just launched a space shuttle to the space station, and it was visible to this side of the planet.

So I went to the internet to investigate, but found nothing. It was frustrating because at the occurrence of this red circular object, I was surrounded buy kids who were playing on the street and their fascination was short lived unlike mine.

So I’m glad that I’m not the only adult who saw it.

Round Yellow UFO Spotted Flying Over Springs In Gauteng South Africa

Time:  Early morning.

Is there someone here who can tell me more about the UFO seen today above Springs In Gauteng. People stopped their cars to look at it.

We've seen it before, but during the night. The object went slowly over our neighborhood one night, about 100 m over our heads, but no one has a camera. It is round and appears yellow and is about 50 meters in diameter.

It is really something to experience. If someone might know something of it, please let me know.

4 Red/Orange Lights In The Sky Flying Over Sandton Johannesburg South Africa

I was in Sandton, Johannesburg on New Years eve just after 12 midnight. We also saw these lights, but I saw 4 of them as they floated together then apart and hovered around for quite some time.

My friends saw them too. Was identical to the pictures you have of the ones in Kempton Park. Do you have any idea what they were? Fireworks would never do that and neither would planes.

I saw 4 of them though, not just one. Weird.

Orange Lights In The Sky Above Johannesburg South Africa

Date:  December 31, 2012 and January 1, 2013
Time:  Before midnight and afterwards.

Hi, I'm (name removed) and I live in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Myself and 6 others witnessed one orange light at around just before midnight as well as 3 more just after midnight. They moved from the East to the West and had a kind of halo around them, which seemed to change direction all the time.

The weird thing was that we had some clouds, and when these lights went behind the clouds, they made a black shadow, as opposed to a diffused light or complete disappearance.

Freaky. Yes we were all drinking, but even the designated drivers saw the same thing.

Another Bright Orange Object Seen In The Sky West Of Claremont South Africa

Hi Brian, it's me again, the Security Officer in Cape Town, South Africa on Monday Night at 21h40 west of Claremont I spotted another bright orange light coming from Strand Area in the sky at a low altitude stopping and fading away, but still steady on the same spot where it stopped.

What I'm trying to say is that space wreckage won't wait for an invitation to fall due to gravity. I was kind of working at the time, but waited for more and maybe I missed the others.

Sorry about that, but I will let you know I'm hoping for something better maybe some pictures if I can get close enough, and hey Brian, I'm your eyes and ears here in South Africa.

Bright Intense Flashes Light Up The Entire Sky Over Mapumalanga Waterval Boven South Africa

Hi Brian, my name is (name removed) and I am responding to the UFO sighting in Mpumalanga.

Although I did not see the sighting you had described, I did however see some strange things in the sky when I was on holiday in Waterval Boven, Mpumalanga a couple days ago - (From the 28th to the 31st December 2012).

Every single evening while there me and my partner saw huge bright flashes of light in the night sky.

It was like a massive very intense strobe light that would literally light the sky up for a split second.

The random flashes would last for a couple of hours every evening with flashes occurring every couple of seconds, almost constantly and with completely random at timing. 

Some nights it was foggy and the flashes occurred, and the one night the sky was completely clear with no clouds what so ever and the flashes still occurred. The flashes had no sound to them what so ever.

I spoke to a few locals who had also seen them, but have no explanation as to what it could be. Have you seen this as well in Mpumalanga? 

We also saw a UFO sightings on the evening of the 30th while there. A white light moved in the sky at first we thought it was a satellite, but then it quickly changed direction and flew away.

Do you know of anyone else who has seen these flashes? Is there maybe a natural explanation for them that I am not aware of?

Two Orange Colored Lights Seen In The Sky Above Impala Park Boksburg South Africa

Time:  10:00 p.m.

Hi Brian, one of my friend saw the exact same to orange lights round about the same time another person saw them.

What we saw on the 24 December at 22h00 still amazes me up to today. We live in Impala Park in Boksburg and at 22h00 on Christmas eve we saw 2x bright orange lights hovering in the sky, one of them started moving in a parallel direction with no sound, and then moved up wards and disappeared.

The second one moved in a half moon circle, then moved parallel and disappeared upwards, after about 5 minutes, we saw another 8 of these orange lights moving very fast in a parallel direction, spaced several kilometres from each other and also disappearing at a certain point in the sky.

These where definitely no airplane or helicopter as there were no sound and at the speed these lights where travelling there had to have be some sound from engines etc.

After witnessing this, my family and I are sure that we are not alone in this world.

Orange Lights Over Kempton Park Johannesburg South Africa

Time:  Just after midnight.

At just after midnight, while ringing in the New Year, we were watching for the firework display when my 13 year old son told us to look at what he thought was a flare.

It turned out to be exactly the same thing as reported above.

There were 7 of us that witnessed it. My husband and I had seen the same thing 2 nights previously.

This was no flare, or airplane. It was flying in a controlled way and turned with deliberation. Any ideas on what this really is?

Orange Light/Objects Seen Flying Through The Sky Over Johannesburg South Africa

Date:  December 31, 2012 and January 1, 2013
Time:  Approx: 11:30 p.m. and after midnight.

Hi Brian, I was curious to find your UFO page, which closely, carries similar descriptions, to my "UFO" sighting last night, as mentioned below.

On the 31st of December 2012 at approximately 11:30 p.m., 1 orange orb was observed in the Western sky above Johannesburg South Africa, and moving too slowly to be a plane or helicopter.

It hovered for a while and slowly moved on and disappeared in a southwestern direction.

About and hour later, after midnight and New Year, 3 additional orange orbs approached from the North East and moved very slowly overhead.

These orbs had an orange colour to them with a red haze which appeared to move around the circumference in a hap hazard manner.

A very much larger black object then moved overhead and appeared to swallow up the one orb and then disappeared out of sight. The other 2 orange orbs slowly disappeared to the South West in the direction of the very first orb.

None of these objects could of been a plane or helicopter as there was no noise. I believe they were also too high to be a lantern as we were able to compare their altitude with a few wispy clouds.

This experience was observed by 5 sober adults on a clear night with a fairly full moon.

I was unable to get my camera in time which is unfortunate, however I was totally mesmerized by the experience.

5 Unknown Objects Filmed Over The Springs 30 Miles East Of Johannesburg South Africa (Video)

Time:  Approx: 12:05 a.m.

Last night at just after 12:05 AM  31st Dec 2012/Jan 1st 2013. Cloud at 6/8ths 12000 feet with our viz at about 30 miles.

My wife and I saw five (5) UFO's all of the same description. Approach at intervals of about a minute from the South South South East moving faster than any commercial Jets  (I’m a Pilot retired) with no sound.

Just under the cloud base.

Last one I tracked climbing into the cloud where it disappeared. I keep a pair of binoculars on our back verandah as I watch aircraft out of our local International airport and local air traffic.

Sure we had a few skyrockets in the air but one could see a distinct difference between the skyrockets and the UFO's we saw.

I was able to watch the UFO's with my binoculars at max zoom and my wife using her Canon EOS 650D ( 18-55 Lenz ) motordrive was able to capture the UFO's on camera.
Note To Self :- As a matter of urgency, Buy Wife Zoom Lenz ASAP.

By The way, this is our 3rd UFO sighting  together and we are not on any medication or smoking strong stuff  and we only opened our champagne after the incident !
