Hi, I live in Liverpool, England and while reading in bed, a green light flew across the sky at a great speed.

We don't see many meteors, could this have been one it seemed quite low in the sky. Thanks.

Large Bright Object With Strands Of Long Light Coming From It Seen Over Liverpool Merseyside UK

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Around 22:22 p.m., on April 30th I was looking at the night sky. On looking at the stars, which I always had a good view off, from my mother's garden, I was struck by an object that had caught my attention.

At first, I thought it was planet Venus, which is the brightest heavenly body in the night sky, other than the moon.

 

The moon was in quarter phase and quite hazy. However, there was something that was not quite right. Although what I saw looked like Venus, I was startled to notice that there was strands of long strands of light, very thin, coming from the object.

At the same time, the object seemed to be moving closer to my position, with longs strands of light coming from it.

I watched this object repeat this process for around twenty minutes. It would become smaller, then begin to grow or move nearer, as if it were falling out of the sky.

 

At one point I noticed that it seemed to be coming closer to my position, with strands of light stretching from it, then it would move back again, into its original position.

Again, long strands of light were coming from the object, then they would be sucked back into the object again.

I was amazed, and quite scared, but I remained transfixed by this sighting and the manner in which this object was moving and reacting.

After around, twenty minutes, I watched this object suddenly fade away to eventually disappear from my view. I am flummoxed as to what this object was.

I am absolutely certain I was seeing what I was seeing, and not some kind of illusion, or trick of the light.

I know where planet Venus is, and I certainly know the difference between Venus and an object that, quite frankly, scared the life out of me.

I would love to know what on earth this was. I have checked the local press to see whether anyone else witnessed what I saw on that night.

So far, I haven't read any weird sighting reports in Liverpool for the night of April 30th 2012.

3 Bright Orange Lights In A Triangle Formation Over South Liverpool UK

I am also in South Liverpool and myself, my partner, and a neighbour saw the same 3 orange lights. But have you put the right date. This was the day before – Sunday 24th May 2009 at 22:50. Same 3 lights in a triangular formation were viewed for over 10 minutes as they hovered and slowly changed formation.

 

They started in a perfect straight line, moved into a triangular formation, then two moved slowly together to the right, whilst the one to left then started to separate and move off in a northeast direction. We viewed them with the naked eye and my neighbours binoculars (not sure of resolution) and took 6 photographs whilst they were close together in the triangular formation.

 

I have 6 photos if anyone wishes to see them (albeit that they suffer a bit with camera shake). To me when viewed through the binoculars, the 'whole' orange disc was made up of about 8 or 9 smaller circular or hexagonal lights.

 

They were very 'unusual' and I don't have an explanation as if they were carried in the wind, how did one move off in a different direction ? Very strange.

Blue White Light Seen Over Liverpool UK

Time:  2:45 a.m.

Hello Brian, my name is (name removed) and I live in the city centre of Liverpool, UK. Approximately 1 hour ago (2:45 a.m.) I saw a strange bluish white light above, what I believe, the river Mersey or the Wirral.

It moved horizontally and curved vertically at high speeds north to south above the river.

It was also angled diagonally in the air and sporadically grew very bright and dimmed until it completely disappeared for approximately 10 minutes.

I couldn't pick it up on my phone's video camera and I have never seen anything like it. I would love to hear from you if you hear anything else along this description.

2 Bright Pulsating Objects Seen Over River Mersey Liverpool UK

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Beautiful clear cloudless cold sunny day. It was New Years day walking with my parents when we noticed 2 bright pulsating objects hovering over River Mersey. As we turned round to walk back to car, the objects changed direction to the same way that we were going.

 

The objects stopped, then went off at incredible speed. No sound. That evening on the main BBC news headlines that the New Zealand Air Force sent up military aircraft because of reports UFOs in their air space.

Orange Glowing Ball Of Light Over Seaforth Liverpool UK

Hi Brian, my name is (name removed) and live in Seaforth, Liverpool. Last night 01-05-2011 at 2330hrs I was in the back garden having a cigarette and noticed a nearly perfect ball glowing orange with a slight haze around it, travelling quickly from east to west. I ran in to get my video camera, by the time I had got it, the object had moved too far away to video, although still about visible.

I have looked online and can't see any other sightings of it for last night. I found a similar picture on a website and have sent you it as a comparison. Aircraft do fly over but this had none of the lights you would normally see. I have seen Chinese lanterns and it definitely wasn't one of these either, it was moving far too quickly and there was no wind last night, yes wind speed varies the higher you climb but as I say it was a near perfect ball.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Whilst having my last cigarette of the night I stood outside gazing at the stars as it was such a clear night, the constellations were clear and many. I noticed a very small flying object at very high altitude which was moving at speeds greatly in excess of a passenger plane. I thought it must be a satellite, until it flew in a tight loop and then continued on its original course.

This made me think that logically it cant be a passenger plane or satellite. This was defiantly something I have never seen before and I was not out looking for anything either !

Orange Balls Of Light Over North Liverpool UK

UFO sighting at 22:19 on Sunday 30th May 2010. Me and two family members seen 2 UFO's flying from North Liverpool over to South Liverpool through our living room window. We ran outside and I grabbed my camera. The two we initially seen were followed by another four (totaling 6) within the space of 20 seconds. The UFO's were orange balls of light travelling at a quick but steady pace.

The other unusual thing about them was that they made no noise whatsoever. There was no usual sound that projects from the aircraft- at all. We live in Halewood, quite near to Speke airport. However, they travelled past the airport at a low height and disappeared over the Frodsham area. I do not

23 Orange Globes Seen Over Bootle Liverpool UK

Full Description of Event/Sighting: New Years eve, wife had gone to bed around 11:15 as she had to be up early for work and I was finishing off what I was doing on the computer. At Midnight I had turned everything off and heard all the fireworks to welcome in the New Year. I went outside for a smoke and immediately saw 3 Orange Globes in the sky travelling from North to South across the sky. Halfway across the sky they turned 90 degrees and travelled westwards until out of sight. The objects were a solid light and made no sound at all.

I went upstairs and told the wife (who was still awake) what I had just seen and she said she had also seen 1 Orange Globe through the window but just thought it was a firework. I looked out of the window and saw 3 more Orange Globes, this time travelling East to West. I told the wife and she came and saw them as well. As the 3 Globes passed over the house 3 more appeared in the distance, travelling in the same direction. This was repeated about 6 times and they always appeared in 3's. All of the objects were the same size and none of them made any noise. We even opened the window to see if we could hear anything.

At around 5:30 this evening (01/01/2010), I had gone outside for a smoke and saw 1 of these Orange Globes on its own but this time travelling North to South.

This is not the first time I have seen one of the Globes. In May 2009 I was walking through Liverpool town center after work, around five o'clock in the evening, and I saw 1 of these Orange Globes. As I got to the BBC Radio Merseyside building the Globe was hovering over the building opposite. Again there was no sound and the Globe hovered there for about 2 minutes before disappearing behind the other buildings.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I receive a telephone call off my dad telling me to look out of the window at the lights in the sky. He called them 'UFOs'. My boyfriend, daughter and I all looked outside and saw two spherical orange lights moving from west to east. The lights were not flashing and moved slower than planes. Checked on the internet and found this site with info about other sightings. The lights went out of view before I could see if the ascended higher, sorry... wonder what they are? I think my dad has some photos of them too.

South Liverpool UK Three Orange Lights

Three orange lights observed through 8x20 binoculars, round shape with lights around the outside of the object and two banks of lights through the middle. One light moved to the North while the other two moved slowly North/East with increasing altitude, after around 25 seconds all three objects disappeared.

Description: Very bright large orange ball, at 1st I thought a ball of fire, but too solid for that. Much larger than any star, and the speed was faster than anything I'd ever seen in the sky. Came from the North, going inland towards Manchester. Then about 4 or 5 seconds later an other appeared, and followed the same path.

Was not a plane, too bright and too fast, and too big, felt I'd witnessed something special.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: When I was in work I was putting some pallets in the loading bay and noticed a bright light in the sky. At first I thought it was a plane and thought nothing of it, then a few seconds later another one came over above my head and there was no engine noise from them. I waited for a few more minutes and counted another five. With that I went inside and reported it to my manager and three other colleagues. We all went back outside and counted another fifteen. They were about the height of a helicopter hovering.

Liverpool, England UK Two Orange Lights

Shape of Objects: Too far away to know.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Two orange lights that gave the impression of either being at very high altitude or even beyond Earth's atmosphere. They were about as far apart as 3/4 length of Orion's belt. They tracked across the sky from approx. East North East, one behind the other, never changing distance between them or changing direction. They both twinkled on and off very fast. Much faster than aircraft lights. The one at the back pulsed dim/bright about every 2 seconds. when they had got about just past halfway across the sky (took about 3 to 4 mins from when they came into view from being obscured by our house), I looked away for a moment and when I looked back the front one was not in position but was streaking away at 90 degrees from their path at an extremely fast speed towards south south east.

At first it was had a trail like a comet but not leaving a residual line like a plane would. It stayed in sight until about 30 to 35 degrees from the horizon before disappearing. I did not check back to see what the other light did afterwards. I got the impression their paths were an arc which emphasized that these objects were very high altitude.

Liverpool, Merseyside, England Two White Lights

Description: I was outside in the yard when a passing overhead plane caught my attention, I seen 2 other planes that where in the distance but lower on the horizon when I noticed 2 white lights, they where quite far away so hard to make out and going about twice the speed of the other high flying commercial planes, at first I thought they were seagulls and it was an illusion that they looked far away but quickly realized they where flying in straight lines away from each other.

Bemused at what I was seeing one of them broke into 2 parts and the dimmer part started to rotate around the main light then joined together then slowly disappeared into nothing. Not believing what I just seen the other faded out in the exact same way but without the second light. The first sensible explanation that came to mind was it was a meteor but the two lights were going in opposite directions near perfectly horizontal. I am still in doubt at what a seen because I am very skeptical but if somebody else had seen it would make me a lot less confused.

Woolton Merseyside Liverpool England UK A Circler Orange Light

Description: Me and my dad was outside having a smoke when we saw a circler orange light moving very fast back and forward in all directions we first thought it was a plane but as we should there and watched we thought to ourselves that isn't a plane as the orange light wasn't blinking at all then my dad thought it was a one of those UFO balloons but I said it's to big to be one you could see it well clear I rushed in the house to get a cam to take a picture and record it but when I came back out it was gone my dad said it shot up I wonder if any 1 saw it.
