Full Description of Event/Sighting: As you described from your sighting, we saw this to. Three traveled in unison with two following. They were traveling towards Grangemouth. A further two were seen from Polmont main St. travelling towards Linlithgow, a further one was seen from our house, it went into a cloud and didn't appear again.

Eight Orange Lights Over Blurton Stoke On Trent UK (New Year)

Shape of Objects: Orange lights.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: We went outside to watch the fireworks and noticed these orange ball like shapes glowing but moving across the sky, no sound or noise, to big to be a aeroplane to big 4 a star, or fireworks. They were floating 4 a few seconds then moving around the sky. I rang my mum who lives 3 miles away she and my dad witnessed this to. I rang people I knew and they witnessed these to. It was a clear night moon shining bright and then they vanished.

They were really bright orange lights. I got my binoculars out and when I looked at them there were yellow lights underneath these orange shaped balls. There were 8 of them all spaced out , but they were too low in the sky to be a aeroplane or star, etc , really weird then they all disappeared.

Description: I was stood outside smoking. Looking west I saw several slow moving orange lights which appeared one at a time above the building line. I watched as they rose higher moving slightly south and vanished. I wonder if they might have been a small illuminated balloon.

Hockley Essex England UK Eight Round Orange Objects/Lights

Full Description of event/sighting: At 10:00pm on the tenth of January 2009, five round orange objects flew north over our property, followed a minute later by three more. They were flying at about the same speed as a light aircraft. They were flying at probably two to three hundred feet, they were totally silent. There was no wind at all so they weren't' being blown by the wind. They all flew in a dead straight line.

Worthing, West Sussex UK Eight Bright Red Lights/Objects

Full Description of event/sighting: This is following on from the report posted on your website from Worthing on the 01st January. I too witnessed exactly the same sighting as already reported but with a slight variation. When the fireworks started at mid-night, I looked out of the window and saw a bright red light travelling across the sky. I went outside (along with my partner) and watched it come to a halt and then fade out. My partner returned indoors and I looked across to my right and saw another red light in a completely different part of the sky. I called my partner to come out again, but by the time she had done this the light had disappeared. Then suddenly, right above our house flew five red orbs exactly as previously reported, (a very surreal moment indeed) - followed a few moments later by a sixth object, which again flew right above the house. Everyone has said 'Lanterns', but I am not totally convinced and am pleased to see that others have the same feeling. Thank you for making me feel 'sane again'! Hope this helps and regards to all.

Ruislip, Middlesex, England Eight Spherical Objects

Description: Large flash of light, then the first orb appeared no sound moving smoothly, bright orange like the sun with a hint of green, no flashing lights, just a constant light, moving from left to right for approx 1 minute, followed by 7 more orbs, all exactly the same, with almost exactly the same time gap in between each one.

UFOINFO Note: As with other similar reports I asked the witness to have a look at the UFO Balloons website to see if this is what might have been seen and received the following reply:

Hello John,

I have had a look at the video on the UFO balloons, and I can say that 100% certainty that what I and my neighbors saw on Friday was not the balloons. What we saw had the ability to stop, hover and then move faster than any plane/helicopter could and it also had a greenish vapor what seemed to be trailing it. They also appeared systematically, by which I mean when one got to a certain point, then the next one appeared. It really had us all freaked out.

The lights were not flickering at all, but stayed a constant bright orange and were a perfect spherical shape. I have never seen anything like it in my life.

I live very close to RAF Northolt and rang them to ask if anything was reported, I was told that she could not answer that question, but she could confirm that there was no low flying planes in the area at that time. She took all my details and was very interested in what I was telling her (her voice sounded like I wasn't the first to tell her that night). I hope this is useful.

Hessle/Hull East Yorkshire UK Eight To Ten Red Lights

Description: was locking up my back patio door at approx 11:59pm 23rd August 2008. I noticed out of the window a red light moving from a South Westerly to North Easterly direction in the sky. At first glance I took it to be a passenger jet and almost dismissed it but something about it didn't ring true. I unlocked the door to have a better look and went into my back garden.

Facing North I could see 2 lines of Red lights, all looking exactly the same. The lines were nearly vertical and parallel to each other. I would estimate there was between 8-10 lights in total. They all moved at a constant speed and were pretty much equally spaced. The speed of them and there height appeared to be similar to the passenger jets we get over from time to time.

I immediately thought "Oh my God I need to get my camera" and started back into the house to get it, I lost sight of the lights at this point. I then realized I did not know exactly where it was so decided to double back and carry on watching the lights.

When they came back into view they were now in the formation of a "V" and continued in the same direction as before, also at the same speed. They carried on like this for about 10 seconds and then they disappeared one by one until a single one was left. The single one carried on by itself for about a further 10-15 seconds before it too disappeared.

I carried on watching for anything else for another 5 minutes but nothing else occurred.

I thought they may have been fireworks but after thinking about how high they were and how fast they appeared to be travelling I discounted this idea. Also I do not know of any fireworks that would form those particular formations and change whilst in mid-air (from 2 parallel lines to a "V")

Has anyone else reported anything, if so, can you let me know as I am eager to find out more about this!

Thanks for the response, below is the full text as I sent originally. From the video on the link you gave they look very similar although the ones I saw were bright red. I would have to say that they were more than likely these balloons but I cannot say for sure.
