Fireball With Long Flaming Tail Giving Off Sparks Over Morecambe In Lancashire UK

Time:  Approx: 9:30 p.m.

 

Hi, at approximately 9:30 p.m. tonight March 3th, 2012 I spotted what can only be described as a fireball with a long flaming tail traveling north to west over Morecambe in Lancashire. It was traveling at a fair speed towards Lancaster.

 

I thought at first it was a lantern, but it was traveling far too fast and was maintaining a straight flight path and altitude. The tail seemed to emit showers of sparks/debris as it passed over. It was lower than aircraft flight.

 

It disappeared into the low cloud before my wife managed to witness it unfortunately. It was an amazing sight, one of which I have never witnessed. Spectacular is an understatement.

 

I hope others in the area witnessed it and I will be checking online to see if they did.

I hope you get other reports sent in and hopefully someone was lucky enough to photograph it.

Bright Yellow Ball With Long Tail Seen Over Morecambe UK

Hi, I stood with my family on the Bay at Morecambe around 9.40 p.m. tonight. The sky was very clear and all of a sudden, my daughter shouted what is that?

 

It was a bright yellow ball with a long tail that looked like a fireball, it was travelling very fast and was very low.

 

We tried to get our cameras out, but it went into clouds and was lost over the roof tops. What was it. Did not look like a shooting star.

Morecambe Lancashire England Bright Light

Weather Conditions: Dry, Clear sky!

Description: Standing in my garden I saw a light traveling towards Yorkshire that looked like a commercial plane at high altitude. It then did a perfect 90 degree turn and accelerated south disappearing in less than a second! The best way do describe it would be to say it looked like a commercial plane before the turn and a shooting star after it! PS: I am only coming forward now to add to the sighting in Morecambe over Christmas! There is no way what I saw was a Chinese lantern or a commercial, military or any other kind of aircraft!

Description: I was stood outside smoking. Looking west I saw several slow moving orange lights which appeared one at a time above the building line. I watched as they rose higher moving slightly south and vanished. I wonder if they might have been a small illuminated balloon.

Morecambe, Lancashire, England Round Orange Light/Objects

Weather Conditions: Clear.

Description: While driving my grandson to his mother I seen an orange light moving towards me from the side, I pulled over amazed at what I was seeing, as I stopped the light turned 90 degrees and disappeared. When reaching my daughter I told her not to think I was mad and told her what I had seen. She then told me her partner had just texted her that he had seen the same. As I was telling her we seen another go across the sky and as that disappeared another one appeared following the previous. Both followed an arc pattern and disappeared. The speed was steady but still faster than any aeroplane. To say I'm freaked out is an underestimate.

UFOINFO Note: As with other similar reports I asked the witness to have a look at the UFO Balloons website to see if this is what might have been seen and received the following reply:

Hi, I have viewed the video as you requested and to be honest they were not like these. They were much brighter and the original one I seen was coming from north to south towards me, it then turned 90 degrees going west. The second and third ones appeared from the east going west travelling faster than an aeroplane but low with no noise before disappearing after 10, 20 seconds. Hope this helps.
