Blue Triangular UFO Observed Above Witnesses Car At Bassenthwaite Lake Cumbria UK

Date:  April 02, 2012
Time:  Approx: 10:15 p.m.

Hi, I just thought I would tell you of a sighting we had of a object that was triangular shaped with blue lights, and I think there was another colour on there like a green.

It was right above our car at Bassentwaite Lake in Cumbria tonight around 10:15 p.m. I stopped the car as it went out of sight over the lake.

I got out, but it was nowhere to be seen. My husband and I both saw this.

Bright Orange Light Fall From The Sky Over Lake Monger Towards Leederville Western Australia

Date:  June 28, 2009
Time:  Approx: 4:00 p.m.

Today, 28 June 2009 at approximately 4:00 p.m. my son and I were travelling east past Lake Monger toward Leederville. We saw a bright orange light falling from the sky.

This had a smoke trail and was definitely close - within approximately 5km and falling from the sky.

We were quite astounded, unfortunately no pictures. If anyone else saw it we would like to hear.

Red Light Observed From Lake Te Anau Southland (Chinese Lanterns/Wish Lanterns)

Date: November 12, 2010
Time: Approx: 9:55 p.m.

I just saw a red light fly through the sky. It appeared in the sky from nowhere and came steadily closer. At first I thought it was a helicopter or plane, but the light was bright and steady (not flashing). I was waiting to hear it, but there was no noise. I kept watching and it came closer and closer still no noise.

I rushed inside to grab my camera and when I came back out, it went through a bit of very light cloud (wouldn't ordinarily block out anything) and I thought well, it must be higher up than I thought. It's a pretty clear night, so it will appear again out the other side, but that was it, gone. I didn't see again.

It was about 9:55pm over Lake Te Anau, Southland. Coming from the west/northwest heading east/southeast

Normally this wouldn't concern me as anything different, the thing that got me is that there was no sound at all. Here surrounded by mountains you can hear aircraft from miles away and that it just disappeared into nowhere.

I don't know, very mysterious. I want to know what it was. Would also be interested if anyone else seen it. Am reluctant to give my name, it's a small town and people will think I've gone crazy.

Thanks.

Update:

Hi, we've been sent a link to your Blogspot. http://worldufos.blogspot.com/2010/11/red-light-observed-from-lake-te-anau.html

Please explain to your observant spotter this explanation:

Two words = Sky Lantern

Friday night in Te Anau included a Divali party (it's the biggest Hindu festival and very awesome), we celebrated a week late to ensure we weren't seen to be celebrating terrorism ("Guy Fawkes" which is also celebrated locally), I couldn't get white sky lanterns and procured 10 red ones from http://www.trademe.co.nz/

They were big red tissue paper heart editions (usually for weddings), we had possibly 10 witnesses to the launch of 4, in two lots of two during evening, we gave 5 away as presents as part of the festivities and have one left which your anonymous spotter is welcome to have (ask them to go to the Fiordland Cinema and identify themselves, or Trips and Tramps).

At night they glow and there is a chance the night watcher might have seen the cardboard burning beneath the basically paper hot air balloon before is burnt out, all organic biodegradable components of course.

We only have one local night flyer who was not in the airspace at the time of launch.

Hope this helps.

Brian Vike’s Note: I would like to thank the folks for sending along the information which gave the answer to what the witness saw, which was Chinese lanterns/Wish lanterns or which ever one wants to call them, as there is numerous names for these lanterns and yes, even UFO Balloons.

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

Coniston, Lake District England UK Orange Light

Posted: April 19, 2009

Date: March 21, 2009
Time: about 6:30 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 5
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: It looked like a burning orange light, roundish, but I thought at first it looked a little square, but the actual light looked as if it were moving, like a flame.
Weather Conditions: Clear, no cloud cover, high visibility

Description: I was walking back to the car on Saturday which was parked in the car park near Conniston Water, Lake District. I was away with my family for the weekend. Half of them had gone back to our cottage, and 5 of us had stayed to have a pint before tea. (I was walking with my sister who is pregnant therefore not drinking at all, my dad, sister and brother in law who had a few pints but I only had one.) I was walking next to my dad and we both stopped due to the orange light in the sky. At first we thought it was a helicopter as it was very bright and low, glowing and looked like a spot light on a helicopter but unusual in colour? It moved across the sky slowly as an aircraft/helicopter would, but then it stopped and seemed to hover for a bit, a minute maybe, then it started moving up rather than across and we became more confused as to what it was due to the way it moved, horizontal, then vertical.

My pregnant sister got scared and went to the car, we continued to watch. It got dimmer when it started to go up and dimmer as it got further away and then we watched it disappear up, as if it had gone into the atmosphere. My dad thought it may be a hot air balloon but it got so very high and had no balloon attached to it?! It just looked like a slow moving ball of orange flame and we were baffled, and a bit scared. There was no sound at all and it went very high towards the end but started low. I am fascinated at what this could have been, and because 5 of us saw it and we are very logical people, 3 teachers, a children's therapist and my dad, a town planner, pretty normal people but we all felt that it was strange, I knew it wasn't just me. All of us agreed that what we saw just a few days ago was strange. Obviously no one believes us and when we got back to our rented cottage, the rest of our party thought we were mad and drunk but I only had a pint, and my sister; nothing, and the others were by no means intoxicated. We didn't get a picture which I wish we should have but we literally stopped in our tracks watching it, my heart was racing when I started to realise it wasn't an aeroplane or helicopter. We were stood watching quite amazed. Could there be a logical explanation for this such as a weather balloon? I am convinced it wasn't a hot air balloon as it was getting really dark and it went so high from being quite low when we originally saw it. I am open to logical explanations but we just can't think of one?!

-----

UFOINFO Note: As with other similar reports I asked the witness to have a look at the UFO Balloons website to see if this is what might have been seen and received the following reply:

Hi John

Yeah I’ve looked at that website but I feel that it was too big to be one of those lamps, and it stopped in the sky for several moments before going really high, I just don’t think those lamps would be able to be seen that high up, or change direction like that?! - and it seemed too big at the beginning to be one of those lamps. I mean I really don’t know what it was but those lamps look pretty small and this thing moved like it was in control if I’m making sense, rather than something just floating on the wind? I will ask the people who I was with what they think? I suppose unfortunately I can’t say what it was either way but it really did seem like it was moving slowly, controlled.

Thanks a mil

Windermere In The Lake District UK Fast Moving Light/Object

Posted: September 14, 2008

Date: August 21, 2008
Time: 10:50 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 3
Number of objects: 2
Shape of objects: Circular.
Weather Conditions: Crystal clear.

Description: Me and my wife and daughter were walking back to our Guesthouse in Windermere on a clear star lit night, while we was looking at the plough constellation, directly above us, we noticed one very, very fast moving object (light) much higher than an average aircraft, then as we watched the object, another object appeared from nowhere and flew alongside the other object for approx:, 10 - 15 seconds, then flew off in the opposite direction, we followed the two objects until they disappeared.there was no noise and the sighting lasted about 2-3 minutes at the most, but it was the pure speed of the objects that stood out and the maneuver ability of the objects, to cancel out that it could be a plane, a plane did pass over with it's lights flashing.

TV/Radio: Don't no of any reporting's.
