Horde Of 20 Orange Floating Lights Over Addo Sundays River Valley South Africa

Date:  December 29, 2012
Time:  Approx: 9:45 p.m.

Good evening Brian, I'm in Addo, on the Sundays River Valley and I have just seen a most extraordinary sight in our skies just over an hour ago now.

It was around 21:45 and the dogs were barking mad, so my dad popped out.

Not long after that, he gave me a shout and I cannot begin to explain what I witnessed.

There were orange lights, floating in the skyline, like big and distant flames.

I must have seen about 20 in total, over 5 minutes or so. First, there were a couple, then two more and their orange light shone bright and dimmed intermittently. Then a horde of them just appeared.

I've never ever ever seen anything quite like it. What a mind trip :-)

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

Also, please feel free to send in your sightings that have happened years ago. So many of these older sightings are nothing short of amazing.

Red Colored Object/Light Seen Over Waingroves Amber Valley Derbyshire UK

Date:  January 1, 2011
Time:  12:00 a.m.

Number of witnesses: 1
Number of Objects: 3
Shape of Objects: Circular.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I live at Waingroves, and from my kitchen window I looked out to watch the fireworks over at Codnor. Over one big fireworks display near the church I saw a very large red orb, it was much larger than much nearer street lamps appeared to be, and it seemed to be hovering for up to two minutes before it just seemed to disappear.

Once it had gone, two small orange orbs came from roughly where it had been and very quickly crossed the sky. I presume they went into the cloud and that was it.
The two small orange orbs I could suggest were Chinese lanterns, as I’m sure many of these sightings are, but the large static red orb was different and huge, I cant imagine I was the only person to have seen it.

I mentioned this to a friend who lives in Kirkby in Ashfield today and he said that he and his lady had also seen a large red orb hovering minutes after 12:00 a.m. But after it hovered a while, it sped off at speed.

He thought it was a helicopter, but said he realized the light was too large and when it moved he thought it was too fast.

They didn't see the two small orange orbs.

So that is three of us that all saw the something strange in the sky last night at similar times. I would imagine that we are perhaps nineteen miles apart.

Glowing Green UFO Hovers While Daughter aAnd Mom Watch It Over Cherwell Valley UK

Date: February 28, 1999
Time: 8:20 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Cherwell Valley UK.
Number of witnesses: 2
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Oval.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was driving south on the M40 motorway on 28th February 1999. My mother was in the passenger seat on my left. We had just passed the Cherwell Valley Services, and I noticed directly ahead in the sky a strangely shaped object. The oval shape was clearly discernible and it glowed green. I was fascinated because it was obviously not a plane and looked quite large for an object that must have been a mile or two away.

It stayed in that position for a couple of minutes and then all of a sudden, before my eyes, it shot high upward with a trail behind it and disappeared in an instance. The trail gradually came to a point at the end. I immediately turned to my mother and said "Did you see that?" and she said "do you mean that strange thing in the sky”, she knew instantly what I was referring to. However, she had not seen it in front view of the car or shoot upwards like I had, but she had been watching it for 15 minutes out of the passenger window, her side of the car.

She said it was green and hovered seemingly close to us. She had stared at it constantly trying to work out what it was, but hadn't mentioned it to me because she was worried about distracting me from driving. I contacted the police that night to report the incident and they gave me a telephone number to contact. I called the number, but there was no answer, or answer-machine to leave a message.

The next day I didn't bother trying again, but made a note of the time and date. It has remained in my memory vividly ever since and I want to report it now in case there were any other sightings of this object in the sky at the same time. It most definitely was not a plane, and shooting stars do not hover do they? Or shoot upward in the sky? I drive hundreds of miles and have never seen anything like this.

Artillery Takes Out Landed UFO At Da Nang, RVN - Happy Valley In 1966

Date: Between February and July of 1966
Time: 2:00 - 4:00 a.m.

Location of Sighting: Da Nang, RVN - Happy Valley.
Number of witnesses: Unknown.
Number of Objects: Believed to be 1
Shape of Objects: Unknown.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Radar track from Danang, and Aerial observer. Taken out by Artillery fire. More info if you are interested. Did not get any TDA following the counter fire.

Additional Information:

Hi Brian, I am guessing you are in British Columbia, or the Pacific Northwest. Quite a bit out of my normal travel area. Anyway, it is still good to hear from you and to learn of your organization.

I was in the US Marine Corps, and served in the SE Asia area during 1964, 1965, 1966, 1968, and 1969.

It was during my 1965-66 tour that we were located to the northeast of Da Nang, and I was in an Artillery Fire Direction Center (FDC).

We controlled close to 100 Field Artillery pieces in the Da Nang area, and could bring about 500 rounds onto one football field sized spot in about 3 minutes.

I have had some injuries from auto crashes since then and do not remember just when the incident occurred, but it was between February and July of 1966.

I was on the late night shift and we got a call from the air base that a UFO had come in and landed at a set of coordinates generated by the GCA Radar. These plotted out in an area that we referred to as "Happy Valley."

The IFF response had been un heeded and the radar and visual tracking from an airborne craft in the area did not match any known aircraft. Since we were close to the DMZ, no one wanted to take any chances and we were given clearance to fire all available artillery on it.

We had about 70+ pieces that could range the target so we plotted a time on target mission and fired 6 rounds per piece on the target.

The GCA radar kept watch on the area and the observer stayed a safe distance out of the lines of fire. We got the usual artillery bursts and at the end of the barrage there was a huge flash that registered on the GCA radar.

The air observer reported that nothing had left the area, and it was too dark to look for damage until sunup. We filed the fire mission request and record of fire with the other log sheets and had been advised that a ground crew was going in for TDA at first light.

When we came on shift 2 days later we looked for the record of fire sheet to see what the ground crew had found.

We were amazed to find that the entire set of records for that mission had vanished. No one would admit to being told to pull it and we never did find out what we had hit other than the initial comments that had come back to us while we were firing on the target.

I still have no clue what we shot. It was big and got a lot of people excited. No other sightings were reported in our area that I heard about before I left in August of 1966.

This has always been a puzzling experience, wandering around in the back of my mind. I have often wondered if we had in deed taken out an extraterrestrial space craft, and how badly we had irritated whom ever it belonged to.

Sorry I don't have more or better descriptive information on the craft or the post attack findings.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to tell this story. I would be interested in hearing about any thing that may have been found out about this incident as it has been bothering me for over 40 years now.

Thanks, and best wishes to you.

My many thanks to this gentleman for sending in this amazing report.

If anyone has witnessed the UFO/Object, please send me an email with details of what you saw. Please remember to include the date and time and location. (Town/City – State or Province) and as much detail as possible.

Hunter Valley, NSW Australia Numerous Amazing UFO Encounters

Posted: June 2, 2008

Date: Multiple dates.

Pleased to meet you Brian, I found this story interesting because I and my 2 sons have also seen a number of oddities in the sky over a number of years here in the Hunter Valley, NSW, Australia. Back in the 1960's I was only young and I was woken one night by a bright light lighting up my bedroom. I thought next door had turned their back light on so didn't investigate. When we arose the following morning the radio and TV was abuzz with a UFO report from 2 Police Officers from the Charlestown Police Station, about 4-5klms from my home. The two Officers said that the object had shone a bright light towards the ground as it passed over my house! The Charlestown Police Station have the News clippings and photos of these two officers, and have had police displays at Charlestown Square Shopping Centre where they had the clippings on display.

Williamtown RAAF Base is a few klms from Newcastle where we live and I have spoken to people here who have seen 'things' both around the city and suburbs and up the valley and also in close proximity to the RAAF Base. One was a nurse who works at the Stockton Mental Hospital a few klms from the Base. A few years ago they were carrying out exercises for the 'Gulf War' and she was entering the hospital grounds when she noticed something move just above the tree-tops near the entrance, above her. She said it was an enormous triangular aircraft she had never seen before and it was hovering and seemed to be watching the Base.

My sons and I have seen a huge silver ball near Chichester Dam further up the Hunter Valley, this was reported to the local radio, TV stations and the RAAF Base and the Base tried to pass it off as a weather balloon! Just how big are these weather balloons? This thing was huge! This was about 1983-84. In about 1989 my younger son and I arrived home from late-night shopping. As I parked the car in our drive-way, my son drew my attention to a 'machine' above us. I told him to take notice of its shape and see if he could see any gaps between the circle of lights and a body as it could be an advertising aircraft, but there appeared to be no gap and it was mechanical underneath and made no sound that we could hear. It was maybe 100 feet up above us and was heading towards the RAAF Base which is 34.97klms from my home at Jewells.

My son and I watched the 'craft' until it flew behind houses and trees and I ran inside and rang the RAAF Base. They kept transferring me from department to department until I found myself back where I started at reception. The receptionist then asked if I would like them to investigate and report back to me. I said "No don't bother its probably gone past you by now" and I hung up. I was told that was what they wanted me to do! Oh Brian, there are other sightings that I could tell you about but I don't want to bother you or have you thinking I am whacko. Is it normal for 1 person or a family to have so many sightings? Regards,

PS. 'Orange Floaters' and white lights also sighted by us and friends also.

Thank you to the witness for sharing these fascinating reports with me and everyone else. The witness is going to be writing up the events and will pass them along to me.
