Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was looking south when I noticed a shooting star. However, the next three or four went in a upward linear direction at an angle of about 15 degrees. Then the last one actually described a large irregular curve.

These looked exactly like shooting stars, however I was particularly stunned by the last one which moved in a circular motion over about 20 degrees of the sky.

Black Snake Like UFO Seen Over Nowra NSW Australia

Date: November 3 or 4th, 2003

Shape of Objects: Snake like, changing to rounded shape.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: It was Melbourne Cup Day 2003, about 1:00 in the afternoon, warm and sunny with a clear blue sky. I was walking south just before Nowra Mall in the main shopping centre when I heard seagulls screeching loudly overhead. This was unusual as they do not normally leave the park area and fly towards the Mall.

Being a keen birdwatcher, I looked up and noticed a strange object in the sky in the direction from where the birds were coming.

It was black and hanging strangely in the sky, alternately rising and falling. Then it began to ascend quite quickly directly above the Woolworths building,"straightening out" vertically, appearing to writhe and ripple. It was jet black and did not show any reflection at all of the bright sunlight. It appeared to have ends set at a right angle.

As it continued to rise quickly, it changed shape completely to become a more rounded shape, solid, more "UFO like".

I continued to watch as it rose so high into the sky, almost straight up, that it became a small black dot. It suddenly flashed silver, then silver again appearing like a star, before disappearing from sight after about 3 seconds of shining. I thought it was very strange as it had not reflected any sunlight up until that moment.

The sighting left me very puzzled and I often wondered about it. Then, a couple of years later I happened to come across the Rense website and saw photos of an identical object in a photo of a woman called Mona Farrell standing in a crop circle in Canada. There were other photos of the object, identical to what I saw before it changed shape. Someone had suggested it could be a lens flare as no one had actually seen the object in the photos but I know for certain that it is a real object in the sky, but I have no idea as to what it could be.

Disc Shaped UFO Filmed South Of Nowra NSW South Australia (Photo)

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Whilst taking photos of the sunset which I use for reference for landscape painting, I noticed this object in between 2 clouds.

Bright Orange Circle Oblong Shaped Object Over McGraths Hill NSW Australia

Date: December 31, 2010
Time: Approx: 10:00 p.m.

At around 10:00pm on New Years Eve my wife, daughter and I were in our pool in McGraths Hill, NSW, Australia, gazing up at the stars when my daughter said "that's not a star" and pointed to a bright orange circle/oblong shaped object. It was moving erratically for something up in the sky and on occasion actually stopped, not constant like a plane or helicopter and there were no flashing lights as you usually associate with aircraft.

When this object eventually disappeared, it looked like it was travelling at an amazing speed getting smaller and smaller as it went away until it finally disappeared. We The entire sighting lasted around 1 to 1 1/2 minutes.

I am ex-military and worked around aircraft for over 30 years and so know when I see afterburners in action and all that sort of stuff (this was nothing like that). I have never seen anything like it before and would probably guess at it being the newest secret American technology being tried out (apparently all over the world when reading some of the other recent submissions on your website).

Metal Colored Disc Shaped UFO Over Cambewarra Mountain Lookout NSW Australia

Location of Sighting: Cambewarra Mountain Lookout NSW Australia.

Shape of Objects: Large disc shaped with rim.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was up at the lookout with my partner, son 15 years, daughter 13 years and her friend. The lookout over looks and area of approximately 60Km in area mass.

My son was busy trying to get the telescope focused on an area below, so he did not see anything unusual, but my daughter and I happened to look up at the sky at the same moment to see an object that was so close it felt like you could reach out and touch it.

A disk shape object that had a metal colour rim, was just starting to pass through the clouds, when I made my partner look up, but he only caught the tail end which was a ball of fire that trailed a tail.

I heard a few other people yell, look at that as they had seen the same thing. The clouds were thick, but I said watch the other side of the clouds should be able to track it coming out, and yes I saw it coming back out and it seemed to have parted the clouds.

My daughter has a memory that the object tilted slightly, but I don't remember this.

This was not a meteor nor a plane, it was the strangest thing I have seen, but I have seen other things all my life.

Round Red Orange Firing UFO Over Waratah West In Newcastle NSW

Summer 1970's

I am currently watching the show on UFOs on ABC2. I too have seen a UFO along with my sister and two children of my neighbours. My mother also saw the UFO as she was standing on the front verandah. We were all at the front yard corner of our yards talking to each other as kids do. We were young so I can't remember exactly when we saw it. It was summer and it happened in the 1970's.

We lived in Waratah West in Newcastle NSW at the time. At this time there was a hill about 300 metres in front of our house. This round red-orange firing object came from the other side of the hill and came down the hill towards us. It was roughly the size of a dinner plate. It then came very, very close to us and with a fence between the two properties. It came in between us where we were standing, followed the fence line and then went down the back of the yard and disappeared. It was very quiet.It was like it was a fireball. It went in between us which was unbelievable but very real.

UFO Over St. Marys, NSW, Australia (Diagram)

Shape of objects: Triangle-ish but with sharp edges I can supply a drawing if interested.
Weather Conditions: Starry night, minimal cloud.

Description: Was lying on my back looking at sky, the craft flew past quickly, the weird thing is, it kind of 'skipped' ahead and behind itself as it moved? (Like when a video is in fast foreward mode) has anyone reported anything like this before? I haven't read anything like this before. The sky was pretty black but this thing was blacker than the sky! The after/fore images seemed to be transparent (if that makes sense?) Only the actual craft itself seemed 'solid' (physical)

Hunter Valley, NSW Australia Numerous Amazing UFO Encounters

Pleased to meet you Brian, I found this story interesting because I and my 2 sons have also seen a number of oddities in the sky over a number of years here in the Hunter Valley, NSW, Australia. Back in the 1960's I was only young and I was woken one night by a bright light lighting up my bedroom. I thought next door had turned their back light on so didn't investigate. When we arose the following morning the radio and TV was abuzz with a UFO report from 2 Police Officers from the Charlestown Police Station, about 4-5klms from my home. The two Officers said that the object had shone a bright light towards the ground as it passed over my house! The Charlestown Police Station have the News clippings and photos of these two officers, and have had police displays at Charlestown Square Shopping Centre where they had the clippings on display.

Williamtown RAAF Base is a few klms from Newcastle where we live and I have spoken to people here who have seen 'things' both around the city and suburbs and up the valley and also in close proximity to the RAAF Base. One was a nurse who works at the Stockton Mental Hospital a few klms from the Base. A few years ago they were carrying out exercises for the 'Gulf War' and she was entering the hospital grounds when she noticed something move just above the tree-tops near the entrance,above her. She said it was an enormous triangular aircraft she had never seen before and it was hovering and seemed to be watching the Base.

My sons and I have seen a huge silver ball near Chichester Dam further up the Hunter Valley, this was reported to the local radio, TV stations and the RAAF Base and the Base tried to pass it off as a weather balloon! Just how big are these weather balloons? This thing was huge! This was about 1983-84. In about 1989 my younger son and I arrived home from late-night shopping. As I parked the car in our drive-way, my son drew my attention to a 'machine' above us. I told him to take notice of its shape and see if he could see any gaps between the circle of lights and a body as it could be an advertising aircraft, but there appeared to be no gap and it was mechanical underneath and made no sound that we could hear. It was maybe 100 feet up above us and was heading towards the RAAF Base which is 34.97klms from my home at Jewells.

My son and I watched the 'craft' until it flew behind houses and trees and I ran inside and rang the RAAF Base. They kept transferring me from department to department until I found myself back where I started at reception. The receptionist then asked if I would like them to investigate and report back to me. I said "No don't bother its probably gone past you by now" and I hung up. I was told that was what they wanted me to do! Oh Brian, there are other sightings that I could tell you about but I don't want to bother you or have you thinking I am whacko. Is it normal for 1 person or a family to have so many sightings?
