John Christopher Tosti: Born 1-21-70 - Died 3-24-2011 (UFO/Alien Abductee)

I bring sad news this evening, Mr. John Christopher Tosti passed away on March 24, 2011 leaving behind loved ones, friends and folks who cared about John. I myself met John only through emails and our telephone calls we made to one another.

I found John to be an intelligent man who loved his family dearly. John contacted me in hopes of finding some answers, or to tell someone about his ongoing experiences with unidentified flying craft, and his alien abduction, which troubled him for years after the experience.

My regret was not meeting John in person as he and I would have had lots in common, and we would have hit it off straight away.

John leaves behind a wealth of information in a report I wrote up on what had been happening to him and what he and his family were observing. I did have everything posted at an old website I owned and operated, but I did sell the website and now much of the photos and video is not posted. I do have everything here, but it was packed away with all UFO material a couple years ago.

The 2012 Canadian UFO Survey - Record Breaking Year

The 2012 Canadian UFO Survey an analysis of UFO reports in Canada. Compiled by Geoff Dittman and Chris A. Rutkowski
The 2012 Survey Released May 12, 2013.

Since 1989, UFOlogy Research of Manitoba has solicited sightings data from active Canadian researchers. This data is annually compiled into the "Canadian UFO Survey." The survey is made publicly available in an attempt to promote the dissemination of information across the field of ufology. This page contains many of the surveys, as well as the data.

The "Survey Essay" page contains just that; the essays produced each year summarizing the findings of the survey for that year, along with explanations of trends, as well as describing some of the more interesting cases for each year.

The "Search The Database" link is currently inactive. In the future, the complete database will be put on the web, allowing any users to search the database for sightings based on the criteria of their choosing.

The "Data Tables" page contains the raw data, in html table format, for most of the Survey years. Basic data, such as date, time, number of witnesses, etc. is listed, as well as a very limited general description of each sighting. Right now we have the basic data for most years up on the web page, but are currently missing 1989, 1992, and 2009 on the website. We hope to get that data online sometime in the near future.

The "Charts" page contains assorted charts summarizing the data over the years. One can find such things as the distribution of sightings by province, time of day, etc. The charts are in .gif format.With respect to the charts, there is a trade-off that must be made. If one is to be able to view the results of the different variables being measured, the chart is frequently too large to fit on the monitor, and one has to scroll left or right to view the entire results.

Shrinking the charts to fit the screen, while making the entire chart as a whole visable, makes it difficult to actually interpret the chart, as the labels become too small. I have chosen to forsake convenience and make the charts large enough that one can actually read the results. Given this, the various charts are best viewed with the latest version of Internet Explorer, as it gives you the ability to easily resize the images.

Printing the charts using I.E. seems to work well too. With Netscape however, some of the charts don't print on a single page, and either come out on two pages, or it simply cuts off a portion of the chart.

The "Testimonies" page is currently inactive, but will contain eyewitness accounts, in the own words of the witnesses.

Brian Vike Finally Retires From The UFO Topic

I finally have to give up on investigating UFO sightings. As I mentioned to a colleague, I have a great run looking into UFO sightings, met some wonderful people along the way and over the years I received thousands upon thousands of UFO sighting reports, most I would say were explainable, yet others were truly amazing and certainly remain unexplained.

There were just a few Ufologists that I would thank for their help over the years.

The media, who I would like to thank as well, gosh did they treat me with kindness and took an interest in what I had to say.

But anyway, I will leave the blogs up as an archive and will find a new hobby which doesn’t involve sitting at a computer, I just cannot do anymore.

Accepting Only Canadian UFO Sighting Reports

Important Notice From The Vike Factor

Due to the huge amount of sighting reports that do come in on a regular basis, I had to make a hard decision as to what I wanted to do.

I can’t keep up with the reports that come in, plus I certainly am not getting any younger, and I don’t want to spend every waking hour at the computer which I just can’t do anymore.

I took a little time to do some thinking, and I have decided to accept and investigate Canadian UFO sightings only. I live in Canada and figured this would be the best for myself.

This will slow things down greatly, which is needed and gives me more time for myself, family and to spend the proper amount of time looking into Canadian sightings I receive.

There are a lot of UFO reporting websites out there on the internet that folks from the United States and the rest of the world can file to. I really don’t want to do this, but this is the way I will have to go.

Massive Orange And Red Light UFO Sightings Coming Into Brian Vike At The Vike Factor

I have been investigating UFO sightings now since mid 2000. When I started up, things were very slow. A report trickled in from time to time, and it was exciting to see. As the months passed, sighting reports were being filed to me more frequently.

Back then I was hard pressed to see many orange/red light sightings at all. Most reports that came in were about unusual craft, people seeing white lights etc., and a few orange objects and some other weird things.  But again, as the years moved on, I did start seeing more and more orange/red light sightings coming in, but most were from Asian countries where they do celebrate different occasions using Chinese/Sky lanterns.

Then a shift started and the reports of these lights began showing up in the UK, slowly at first then increasing by great numbers. It got to the point where orange lights were the subject of most of the sightings I was receiving.

A year or two following the invasion of orange lights in the United Kingdom, I started receiving more and more reports of the lights in Canada. Most of those came from back east in Ontario. Then it spread out across Canada, and still, Ontario remained on top for these sightings probably due to the larger population there, and to this date, huge numbers of sightings of these lights are still piling in. Also at that time, reports of the lights started showing up all along the east coast of the United States. It really was and still is, fascinating to actually see how the orange/red lights spread across the land.

Now, most of the time I receive anywhere from 10 to 20 or more sighting reports per day from people who are seeing these colored lights, meteors and some UFOs. It really is something to see how this all unfolded.

In a recent report, an answer was found to a sighting of a orange ball of light seen over Buena Vista Baja California Sur Mexico.

Here is a link to that story, with an update from the eyewitness who found the evidence that the sighting was indeed a Chinese lantern. The remains were located on the beach, having been washed up on shore as the sighting had taken place over the ocean.

I have received reports of orange lights from people where they were able to figure out what they saw, after the orange light burnt out and fell into the witnesses yard.

I personally believe most of the orange light sightings are Chinese lanterns, but the problem is finding the proof. The lanterns do come down, but so many fall in wooded areas, lakes, oceans, rivers, yards, etc. When people watch the lights travel over head or see them in the distance, they are still lit, but they do burn out or blink out and it is hard to determine where they might come down because of the darkness.  I am sure people walk out in their yards and see the debris from a lantern and wonder what it is, and where did it come from. I am also sure they pick it up and drop it into the trash, not knowing there were lights seen in the sky in the area from the previous night.

Here is an example of what I am talking about. This report came in from Thompson Manitoba, and in the report there are photos the witness took of a melted mess which is the remains of a Chinese lantern.

I am certainly not saying all of the orange and red light sightings are Chinese lanterns, but I do receive thousands of sightings of these lights and I believe that most of them could be the lanterns.

UFO/Lights Seen Zig Zagging And Hovering Between Borris In Ossory And Roscrea Ireland

I have seen the same, and I’m in Laois area.

It’s in a westerly direction from me and seems to zig zag, and hover over ground somewhere between Borris in Ossary and Roscrea.

It moves in a pendulum motion or seems to hop sometimes, I can’t really pin point location or I’d be down seeing what it is.

Black Triangle UFO Observed Above The Stadium In Middlesbrough UK

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was coming home from college of December 09, 2012. It was a cold, but still silent night when I realized earlier on that I had forgot my wallet and only had enough money for the journey there and a sandwich and I knew I’d be walking home.

As I began to set off from college near the river side stadium Middlesbrough, I looked up above the stadium to see a huge triangular shaped black craft moving silently in the silent night.

There was no noise, it hovered and then left heading east towards Europe. It had three orange/red lights in each corner.

I tried to take a picture, but all I got was black. I believe it’s a government vessel, most likely created in the USA. Maybe even after recovered technology from the Germans in WW2.

Large Glowing Orange Ball Of Light Over Buena Vista Baja California Sur Mexico

Date:  February 14, 2013
Time:  8:30 p.m.

14 February 2013 at 8:40 p.m. local Mtn Time.

Observed overhead, SE sky a single glowing orange object about 1/4 size of full moon. Initially thought it was a plane, common here, but not flashing and unusual hue.

Seemed to be fiery with slight variation in the orange hues. Moved slowly to the North for 10 seconds, about 15+ moon diameters. Or width of 5 fingers at arm's length.

Then slowly made a 90 degree turn to the East. Travelled 5 seconds, about 4 fingers, slowly dimming and diminishing in size. Suddenly disappeared and not seen again.

Unfortunately, I did not have my camera with video with me. I have never seen anything like this before. I did an Internet search and found similar observations at this website.

Additional Information:

I believe I have solved my orange glow mystery.

Enclosed 2 pictures, found this a.mm washed up on the beach, of a plastic very thin walled bag with wire ring at the base with central wire support likely to hold a fiery container, not present.

Some smoke/soot on interior bag.

Works like a hot air balloon.

Seems somewhat dangerous to light one of these and send it aloft?

Likely are purchased commercially due to its construction and would seem to explain the single and multiple objects and slow movement.

An Internet search may find the commercial source?

Russian Meteor Causes Blast: Hundreds Injured (Video Clips)

Moscow (CNN) -- A meteor streaked through the skies above Russia's southern Chelyabinsk region Friday morning, before exploding with a flash and boom that shattered glass in buildings and left hundreds of people hurt.

The number of people reporting injuries climbed to more than 500 by lunchtime, according to Vladimir Stepanov, of the National Center for Emergency Situations at the Russian Interior Ministry.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I woke up 1:30 a.m. to witness 8 circles on a formation from top to bottom with one on each side at the lowest point much bigger the formation over the Ocean.

Two Separate Sets Of Objects Burning Red/Orange/Yellow/Violet Over La Union Philippines

Time:  Approx: 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Hi Brian, I accidentally came over your website. OMG this is weird. It seems like another witness had similar experiences. So I'm taking the chance to share what I saw, but it was 15-18 years ago, I think. I'm in my high school years.

I was in La Union, Philippines at that time around 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. I'm gazing at the north sky when I suddenly saw 3 big balls of fire with different colors (red orange, yellow, violet) falling from the sky vertically with a burning tail of dark smoke.

I was so shocked that I thought it’s going to crash and burn anything where it will land. But surprisingly, it disappeared after a few seconds (around 6 seconds). And I saw it during daylight!

So I though "oh ok, my eyes must have been fooling me." After barely a minute, I saw another set of 3 balls of fire further right-side from where the first set appeared.

I can't believe my eyes that I was seeing it for the second time. I called out my dad, but it already disappeared when he arrived. It appeared like it is lower than the clouds. Ok I said, I will wait for any news around the area.

I have heard nothing in the news like a crash site or something. And I am far from where it might have landed and I'm not hearing anyone who could have seen it also.

So there it is, I just saw something that may never be explained. I was thinking then of old stars which grew old and may have fallen.

7 Silent Orange Objects/Lights In The Sky Over Winsford UK

I am glad I have seen this. We were watching a set of 7 orange orbs lights that flew silently over the houses on New Years eve 2013 at 12:10 a.m., in Winsford UK.

They were not lanterns, they separated off in different directions then came back and met up in a V shape then disappeared for 10 minutes then came back again, it was not helicopter.

Round Red Circle In The Sky Over Pune Maharsatra India

Time:  Approx: 9:30 p.m.

I am living in Pune, that  is in MH state in India.
Yesterday night when my wife is talking with someone on her cell on the balcony, she saw one round red circle type object is floating in the sky. That round object speed is slow.

We are living  on 8th floor and about 120 feet from the surface and on paralleled distance there is no other building.

She just called to me and my mother and we all watched. Previously I though may be someone flying a gas balloon or flying kite with candle, but it seems no. Because as per me, gas balloon will not go on for such a long and high and the light is not blinking.

That was round in shape (it is approximately 2 km far from me). And the red (not pure red may be say combination of orange) light is blinking over it. It is just moving slowly to one zone and then to another and disappeared out of my range.

While Goggling, I only found this site on which some other people face the same issue, but they are from another country, so maybe some one could help me to figure out what actually it was.

My mother told me that may be some sprite, but I don’t believe these things that are proved, so I am asking for your help if you have any idea.

Blue Flash Of Light Lit Up The Sky Over Endeavour Hills Melbourne Victoria Australia

Hi, my name is (name removed), I was just Googling blue flash's and came across your web page. I tried to comment, but don't have a Google account.

I was in Endeavor Hills when I saw the flash, which was a beautiful blue and took up the entire sky. It was about midnight when it occurred on 10/02/2013.

Straight after this there was a blackout in half the street. It was amazing to see and I am intrigued to know what caused it.

Three Fireballs Spotted In The Sky Coming From Cabo San Lucas Mexico

Time:  Approx; 8:00 p.m.

We saw the exact same fireballs at approximately 8:00 p.m. tonight. We saw three balls, in succession, flaring for about 20-30 seconds, then burning out but faintly continuing overhead, as they moved towards San Jose del Cabo. 

After observing the second one, we agreed that it seemed that they were coming from the direction of Cabo San Lucas (we are on km 7 of the Transpeninsular Highway).  

Did you ever find out what these fireballs are, or where they originated?

Cigar Shaped UFO Seen Over Bogotá Colombia

Date:  1998
Time:  Christmas time.

Static slanted cigar shaped in Bogota '98, broad daylight at Christmas time.

I was with my ex-wife, girl friend by then, she was the one in fact who pointed out the UFO to me.

Somebody else's video of that (also shown in the news) was sent to NASA by National University of Colombia. Never heard about what was NASA’s answer to that.
