Two Bright Orange Lights Flying Over New Malden Surrey UK

Date:  November 3, 2012
Time:  8:15 p.m. and again at 10:00 p.m.

Hello Brian, I just want to recount what I saw last Saturday night, for me it was a very odd experience.
I came out of my house, about to leave to get a quick hour in at the gym, when I noticed two bright, orange lights flying overhead.

They were taking a very wide arch which made me first think they were fireworks (for obvious reasons, being so close to Guy Fawkes night).

Then, what struck me as odd, was that they did not explode. The next thing I noticed immediately was that the second light was following the first.

There was no rapid movement but there was definitely a drawn out maneuver as if they were banking to the left in unison. The distance between them was constant.

Well, they weren't planes, no flashing lights and moving way too quickly. They could of course have been closer to the ground but then the light did not seem bright enough for that.

So I thought, 'oh, they're helicopters', but they were going way too fast for helicopters as well. And that's when I noticed that there were no sounds either, no helicopter buzzing, no jet engines, etc. So I simply reasoned that I had seen my first UFO.

What genuinely struck me as odd since was my own immediate reaction, not awe, shock, surprise, etc., but a simple shrug of the shoulders and 'oh, well'.

Anyway, I left the gym at about 10:00 p.m. and was driving back, only to see the same lights in the sky again, this time roughly about a mile west of my house. As I was driving, I couldn't stop to track them, but it was genuinely a weird experience the second time around.

So what were they ?  I was very surprised to see a similar report of orange lights in New Malden in June last year on your website. I can only presume someone has got a radio controlled craft and is out for some fun to wind up the locals. Either that or I just saw ET, I am open minded to all possibilities.

Red/Orange Light Looked Saucer Shaped Over Old Woking Surrey UK

Date:  July 2012
Time:  Evening.

We are in the Old Wokinge area and we also saw a ball of red orange travelling fast across the sky.

Although it had a round shape, the light extended into a more saucer shape. Also a plane was going in the opposite direction at half the speed.

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

A Pair Of Red/Orange Colored Lights Over New Addington Croydon Surrey UK

Date:  Mid July 1967
Time:  Approx: 8:50 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 2
Number of Objects: 2
Shape of Objects: Appeared spherical.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was just saying goodbye to some friends from upstairs window in my girlfriends parents house when as we were turning away to leave the room, a reddish/orange pair of lights in the distance in the dark, caught my eye as they appeared to move quite fast.

We kept looking in the direction they were near, which from New Addington was just to the right of the Crystal Palace Radio Mast, but in actual distance was more than likely more above the Bromley area.

While keeping our eyes fixed in that direction, the lights were moving in a zigzag and up and down motion for what was approximately 2-3 minutes.

The lights were obviously not an aeroplane because of the movement, and also not a helicopter as the speed that they were moving at would have been impossible for a helicopter to negotiate at such speed which would be best described as zipping from point to point.

I/we, never reported it at the time as we were only aged 14/15. But have never forgotten it, and my recollection of it has always been the same.

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

Flying Saucer Shaped UFO Hovering Above Surbiton Surrey UK

Date: 1975/1976
Time: Approx: 7:30 a.m.

Number of witnesses: 1
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Typical flying saucer shape.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was out walking with dog and I happened to look up and saw traditional style flying saucer shape hovering only about 200 – 300 feet above the houses.

I remember seeing windows around it, but don't remember seeing any lights. I looked away briefly and when I looked back, it was starting to move away and then sped off.

I do recall a 'whirring' sound. I was only about 12, but remember it vividly. I only told mum when I got home, didn't report it.

Bright Yellow Orange Star Like Object Over Esher In Surrey United Kingdom

Date: June 27, 2010
Time: Between 2:00 and 4:00 a.m.

Hello, After a strange sighting this morning, I decided to Google 'UFO sightings 27th June 2010 UK' and came across your site. This morning between the hours of 2:00am and 4:00am, I watched something of a similar description move up and in an eastern direction. The object I saw was bright yellow/orange and at first instance looked like a large star. It caught my eye as it was low and there were no other stars. I stared at it for a while and thought that it looked like it was moving from side to side, but just put this down to my imagination.

I then closed my eyes for a few minutes and when I woke it had moved. I was able to tell as my window has metal grids on the glass, so I was able to see with some clarity it's movements and what distance. It continued to remain static again and as soon as I closed my eyes, again for about 5 minutes, when I woke it had moved upwards. I was then convinced it was not my imagination and continued to watch it from the same resting place on my pillow. It moved slowly in a diagonal direction up and eastwards over the next hour and until it was out of sight.

It's movements were also slightly jiggered to begin with moving across then up and eventually just went diagonally. I had my other window open and could hear no sound.

I live in Esher in Surrey and haven't seen something like this before. Again, it is hard to tell, but at some points it looked like there was a main glow and then a smaller glow attached to it, but this could be a case of looking at something too hard! I hope this is of interest to you. Many thanks.

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

Orange Lights Over Guildford Surrey UK

Date: January 24, 2010
Time: Approx: 1:00 a.m.

Hi, we saw the same orange lights a few hours after you had seen them, but down in Guildford about 1:00am on 24th Jan 2010. There were 7 orange lights in a formation, i managed to take a picture after my housemate ran down with the camera, but before this each one moved towards me and disappeared, only one was left when I took the photos.

Just thought I'd say you're not on your own in seeing these. Regards.

Spherical Bright Orange Object Over Horsell, Surrey UK

Date: December 27, 2009
Time: 7:15 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Horsell, Surrey.
Number of witnesses: 3
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Spherical with a flat top.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Walking with my sister when I saw a spherical bright orange luminous sphere moving rapidly (faster than a commercial airliner, but not too fast not to not be seen) at the northwest of the horizon.

I alerted my sister who said it might be an airplane (Heathrow is not too far) but I told her that the object was clearly too bright and orange.

At that moment I alerted her to a commercial airplane at the southeast of us, very high in the sky with it's distinctive three small lights and sound.

The strange object was moving and then hovering and then moving far and coming close. It was hovering much lower than a commercial airliner, but not low enough for us to see it's details.

It's lights emitted a flicker like a flame and what looked like bright orange sparks were ejected from the bottom of it, then we could not see them.

As we were walking the object moved out of sight.

As we walked to our final destination the object appeared again and we showed it to our mother. It then moved along and hovered and disappeared.

Any explanation is much appreciated.

Sutton, Surrey, England UK An Orange Light

Posted: May 24, 2009

Date: April 12, 2009
Time: 10:38 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 1
Number of objects: 1
Weather conditions: Clear.

I live in Sutton, Surrey, U.K. About 10.38pm on Sunday 12th April 2009. I was in my garden when an orange light caught my eye. It was in a North Westerly position. At first I thought it was a plane on fire because it glowed bright orange. The orange was like the orange on some street lamps. The light moved towards me, and seemed quiet low to the ground. I thought it was too low for an aircraft, but as it got nearer it looked like 2 stars, the top one being slightly bigger than the smaller bottom one, then it went up towards the stars, and I had to crane my head back to look directly up at it. It hovered for 2 seconds, then turned slightly towards a southerly position where even though it was high up, it flickered a couple of times, and then completely vanished from view. It was a clear night so I know it didn't just disappear in the clouds.

What do you make of this? Comments gratefully received.

Croydon, Surrey England UK A Circular Pink Colored Object

Posted: May 23, 2009

Date: January 1, 2009
Time: 00:02 a.m.

Number of witnesses: 2
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Circular.
Weather Conditions: Cool, clear with light cloud.

Description: As is the custom in my family, I stepped outside at midnight to see the New Year in. This year my mother in law stepped out with me. We were watching distant fire works when we noticed a circular object moving from roughly north east to west. Using a clock face with 12 above our heads, we first sighted it in the sky at about the 2 o'clock position. It took about a minute to pass over us and made no noise at all. There was no jet noise and no sound of a helicopter either. It slowly pulsed a pink colour and faded quickly when in the 11 o'clock position.
I have seen many satellites and this was not one.

Firstly it was to late for satellite sightings and it's direction was all wrong. Satellites move from a westerly direction to an easterly direction. This was doing the opposite.

My mother in law and I have discussed this sighting and we have reached the conclusion that we think it is out of our scope of knowledge.

Woking, Surrey, England UK Round Orange Balls Of Light With A Corona

Posted: May 10, 2009

Date: May 2, 2009
Time: Approx: 21.00 hrs

Location of Sighting: Woking, Surrey, England.
Number of witnesses: 5
Number of Objects: 6
Shape of Objects: Round, orange balls with a corona.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: My son saw them from his bedroom and came down to show myself and my husband. Five balls of fire where moving across the sky (not very high) as said before about as fast as a plane. They stopped and hovered for a minute or two then one more shot upwards from the area of the ground and joined the formation which was straight. 3 of them moved out of formation, kind of dancing and then went back to formation. Then they began to move as before for a few more minutes and then just shot off. They were like balls of fire about 6" to the naked eye from our position so goodness knows how big they really were. They had a corona to them also. I am not usually a skeptic where as my husband is, this time we were in reverse opinion. I have to say though, I can not explain what they were and the formation, then movement and back to formation was too perfect!

Thank you to the witness for their report.

Godalming, Surrey, United Kingdom A Spherical Object

Posted: April 19, 2009

Date: March 25, 2009
Time: 20.25pm

Number of witnesses: One ( myself )
Number of objects: One
Shape of objects: Spherical.
Weather Conditions: Clear, 3/8 cloud-cover above 15,000ft, visibility in excess of 10 miles.

Description: Object observed travelling on a heading of 130 degrees toward Dunsfold Aerodrome whilst passing overhead Farncombe / Godalming. Extremely bright orb, about the size of the full moon, orange and yellow in colour with those colours 'alternating' slowly, like two coloured liquids mixing in a bowl.

Altitude hard to judge accurately, but in excess of 2000 ft. I thought at first that it was a GA aircraft as brief flashes of light, like navigation beacons, could be seen within the orb - my reasoning was that it was an aircraft with its landing lights on, but it all seemed too bright for that and as it wasn't heading toward me, the landing lights wouldn't have been so prominent. In addition, the orb seemed both solid and yet had a 'halo' - very difficult to describe its appearance.

Object travelled silently and arrow straight for 60 seconds before suddenly plunging downward toward the ground. I thought that the 'aircraft' may have been trying to reach Dunsfold in an emergency and had failed. However, its fall came to an abrupt halt somewhere over Hascombe. My best estimate is an altitude loss of around 1500 ft in five seconds before stopping dead in the hover ( no aircraft can achieve this maneuverability, which is the point where I became convinced this was not an aircraft ).

The object hovered for roughly 45 seconds, before drifting slowly 'right' on an approximate heading of 220 degrees. It then climbed to perhaps 1000ft before performing a series of erratic dips, climbs and accelerations far beyond the capability of any conventional aircraft, before coming to a halt at around 2000 ft and slowly fading from sight.

TV/Radio: Nothing yet, but I can't believe I'm the only witness to this sighting. It was very large, very bright and it must have cruised overhead the entire town of Farncombe, then cruised over Godalming, and would have been seen in Hascombe as well as Dunsfold very clearly.

Cabell Road, Parkbarn, Guildford, Surrey UK Round Orange Lights

Posted: January 13, 2009

Date: January 4, 2009
Time: 00-32

Location of Sighting: Cabell Road, Parkbarn, Guildford, Surrey.
Number of witnesses: 1
Number of objects: 4
Shape of objects: Round orange orbs/lights.

Full Description of event/sighting: My little brother was walking home on n.y.e with his girlfriend and said he saw some weird orange lights in the sky (not lanterns or fireworks) They were just there, not moving or anything, then they just disappeared, gone in the blink of an eye. So me being me, I am well into the UFO/stars thing by the way and I never left home with out my camcorder. I was driving up Cabell Rd, Guildford on 04.01.09, just left my girlfriends house. I have driven up this road at night a million times, maybe even two million times as I've been with her for 9 years now and I know where all the stars are in the sky at that time of year ect. I saw these two orange lights just on the horizon. I would say, est a mile up and half a mile apart. So I hit the brakes, jumped out the car (it's 12.35am) and tried to film them. At first I didn't think I got much (only filmed for 6 seconds, then they disappeared, but looking over the film when I play it at 1 frame at a time, you can clearly see a triangle shape of 3 orange lights and one single one on it's own to the right, which almost looked like balls of fire. Strange huh.

As I said, there was 4 orange lights in total, there were only 2 visible to the human eye. I didn't see the others until I played the tape back, which made me think they were even stranger. I don't know what I saw, but I do know that I have never seen anything like these lights before, nor have I seen then again. I put my findings up on facebook and a few others claim to have seen some orange lights in the skies over Guildford too. Just thought I'd let you know my story. If I see any more, I will surely contact you again. Many thanks.

Thank you to the witness for their sighting report.

Guildford, Surrey, England 3 Spherical Objects In A Triangle Formation

Posted: November 12, 2008

Date: July 15, 2008
Time: Approx: 9:00 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 3
Number of objects: 3
Shape of objects: Round.
Weather Conditions: Clear with a couple of clouds.

Description: I was with a group of friends in a crowd at a festival when I looked up at the sky. I saw 3 spherical objects in a triangle formation. All were glowing red and shimmering. They were too high to be planes. At first I thought I was seeing things and asked my friend if he could see them too. He also believed they were too high to be planes and I suggested that it may be the army testing something. My wife looked up to see what we were looking at and also saw the 3 objects. They were moving across the sky in formation and suddenly the pair at the back disappeared and reappeared again. They then
swapped positions and eventually vanished. I have no idea what they were but my thoughts would be that they were some sort of army plane rather than UFO's.
