Ball Of Fire With Different Colors With Tail Observed Over Livingston Scotland UK

Date:  March 3, 2012
Time:  Approx: 9:45 p.m.

Hey, my name is (name removed) and I also saw what looked like a shooting star last night 03/03/12. I live in Livingston, Scotland. It was a lovely thing to see. It looked like a ball of fire with different colours coming from it, and it had a massive big line of what looked like dust coming from it.

I wish I had time to take a picture. I thought it was a big bright shooting star, but it seemed to last longer than a normal shooting star. I got to watch it for at least 40 seconds and then it vanished into the sky.

It seemed quite low in the sky. Do you know what it was?

Hi, I don't know if you are the right person to tell.
I live in a village called Kirknewton, just outside Livingston West Lothian.

There was no noise and was approximately 30 of them. After doing some Google research, this sighting has been seen before.

Small Red Lights Observed Over Livingston UK

Date: January 2, 2011
Time: Approx: 6:30 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Livingston UK.
Number of witnesses: 1
Number of Objects: Approximately 9

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was watching TV with my husband and I went upstairs and looked out of my landing window when I noticed small red lights in the distance. They were evenly spaced out and no sooner would a few appear, than more were visible.

I thought they were helicopters at first, but there was too many, then I thought maybe they're some sort of lanterns as they were in the direction roughly towards the Livingston Shopping Centre, but they were really high up and were moving in alignment.

I shouted my husband to come and look, but he refused. I have since looked on various Facebook sites including "What’s happening In West Lothian" to try and find out if anyone else saw these. I'm totally puzzled as to what these could have been.

Orange Lights Over Deans Area Of Livingston UK

Date: January 1, 2011
Time: After midnight.

Brian Vike:

Hi, I saw a number of orange lights in the sky over the Deans area of Livingston shortly after midnight today (New Years Day). I watched about five of these lights move slowly across the sky from west to east, circle and come back over Knightsridge. At one point there were three in a vertical line. My family and I watched them for about 45 minutes before giving up and retiring to bed. They were definitely not fireworks or planes.

I went online this morning and read the various reports of similar incidents over the past year or so........what's going on?

Hope this is of some help.

Additional Information:

This sighting took place at Ladywell, Livingston. My daughter went out to have a cigarette and asked me to come to door when we both witnessed the red light in the sky. If you can send me more info about this, very interesting.

Orange Light Over Eliburn Livingston UK (Chinese Lantern)

Date: October 14 and 15, 2010
Time: 10:40 p.m.

Hi Brian,I have in the last 2 nights 14th + 15th October 2010 witnessed a strange orange light moving quite fast over Elburn Livingston. The first was Wednesday 14th about 2240 hrs travelling north to south right across the flight path I was gob smacked, then a aircraft took off from edi it looked like they were going to collide. I had a cold shiver down my back. I always go out for a ciggy at this time before I go to bed. Then last night 15th same time I saw another one going east to west.

Very odd.

My only explanation is a lantern that people light, never seen one before but what I have seen looks to be very bright orange. Regards.

Glowing Orange Ball Over Deans Livingston West Lothian UK

Date: May 22, 2010
Time: Approx: 10:45 p.m.

Hi, on Sat 22 May 2010 around 22:45, my daughter and friend were on her trampoline in our South facing garden (Deans in Livingston West Lothian) and she saw a glowing orange ball of fire in the sky (in the East). My daughter alerted us to the sighting and five of us witnessed the object, which seemed to be moving very slowly (if at all).

The object seemed to drop slowly from the sky and then disappeared. I wondered if it had been a meteorite as I can't think of any other explanation. Pleased to have found your website and to discover that other people have witnessed this strange sighting. Thanks.

Glowing Ball Of Orange Light Over Livingston West Lothian UK

Date: May 22, 2010
Time: Between 10:30 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.

Hi there, I just wanted to add another sighting on to your website notifications. I was sitting in south side of Livingston, West Lothian outside between 10:30pm and 11:00pm last night, Saturday 22nd May.

It was a still night, clear sky, then out of nowhere, this orange glow appeared. We watched it moving in a steady and controlled manner. No noise, no vapour trails. No drop of pace, not much change in direction. Hard to say what size it was. It came in from a northeasterly direction travelling southwest. We all watched it for about 5 minutes until it finally disappeared to such a small size and then vanished.

We didn't think it was an aeroplane, or a meteorite and could not come up with a rational explanation of what it was? What are all these glowing balls of orange lights in our skies? Is anyone going to come up with a rational explanation for us?

Bright Orange Light Over Livingston West Lothian Scotland

Date: May 8, 2010
Time: 10:30 p.m.

At 22:30hrs approx: tonight, another bright orange light over Livingston West Lothian Scotland. It was headed towards the Edinburgh-Glasgow direction. it was immediately behind an aircraft which had taken off at a perpendicular angle and the aircraft was easily identified by the flashing lights as per normal. The UFO light was an extremely bright orange and moving at a constant speed without any flashing lights. The orange light diminished in size and became a small white light, then disappeared into the darkening skies. Regards.

Orange Lights Over Livingston UK

Date: January 1, 2010
Time: After midnight.

Referring to this story found at the following link: http://worldufos.blogspot.com/2009/12/14-round-burning-yelloworangey-lights.html

Hi, I saw these lights as well. Quite a surreal experience. At first I thought they were planes, but as you said, there was no noise and the first 2 I saw were really close together. I saw round about 14 of them too, some in 2s, others by themselves. Very odd. They all followed the same course, i.e. coming over the trees towards Ballantyne Place then taking a 45 degree right turn till they disappeared.

Tried to take some pictures on the mobile, but they weren't obvious. I called Lothian and Borders Police who told me they had, had a couple of calls and that they had investigated and there was nothing to worry about. They said they thought they were Chinese lanterns! Yeah right, I don't believe that for a moment. I believe they were something else.

If you happen to find out, could you let me know please. I am flying home to London on Sunday night.

Thanks and regards.

14 Round Burning Yellow/Orangey Lights Over Eliburn Livingston West Lothian Scotland UK (New Year)

Date: January 1, 2010
Time: 00.01

Location of Sighting: Eliburn Livingston West lothian Scotland.
Number of witnesses: 6
Number of Objects: About 14
Shape of Objects: Round

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Round burning lights yellowy/orangey in color, not bright orange like fire, but burning moving fast towards land, then shooting into the sky. There was one hovering for a bit, it looked real close through a telescope as I looked at it. It was round and burning. It hovered above the houses over the road then shoots back up, that's when more and more came and got closer and closer.

It's New Years Eve and I'm in my house with my partner and child, I have had no alcohol or drugs.

From my own eyes this is something that I can not explain. It went to far up in the sky and back down again to be a firework, it never landed. Two of the lights collided paths and just went through each other too. I have shut my windows and curtains and I'm of to bed, to scared of what might come.
