18 Bright Orange Balls Of Light Over Isle Of Skye Scotland

Date: February 27, 2010
Time: 10:23 p.m.

Hello there, at precisely 22:23 on Saturday February 27th 2010, a friend and I were driving through the peninsula of Sleat (Isle of Skye)

To our amazement we both observed some 18 bright orange balls floating over the centre of the peninsula. They looked like very, orange planets. They were below the fairly low-lying clouds and some of them moved slowly with a sort of random motion and, one by one, disappeared. Then a second, smaller batch appeared.

They also moved about slowly before fading away after a couple of minutes. No sound. If I had been alone, I would have thought I had dreamt it, but there were two of us. We are both rational, highly educated people with good scientific backgrounds (if that is of any relevance!)

Any ideas? Flares perhaps from a ship in distress? But they didn't rise into the sky and they didn't fall to the ground. They just faded away.

Some sort of military exercise perhaps? This area is riddled with sophisticated systems for killing the Queen's enemies...

Any ideas much appreciated! Kind regards.

Isle Of Wight Blackgang Chine, Chale Strange Object

Posted: April 12, 2009

Date: October 1996
Time: 22:00

Number of witnesses: 1
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: No shape.
Weather Conditions: Dry, clear light winds.

Description: It was about 10 pm and I was looking up into the sky when I noticed a shooting star travelling from east to west. To see a shooting star is not unusual as this often happens when I go fishing in the evening, but this time it was different as the main body and tail were a bright green in colour. After about ten minutes a bright pulsing white light appeared from nowhere about two miles south of my position out at sea. The light was stationary above the sea at about 300 ft and making no sound and pulsing every second. After about five minutes, the light started to wobble like a spinning plate and this continued for about ten minutes after which the light in intensified and then disappeared in an instant. Weather conditions were clear with little cloud and light winds there were no other aircraft or shipping in the area at the time. All the time I had light in my view I could not see any discernable shape, at first I thought the light may be a reflection from the St Catherine's light house but the frequency of both lights were totally different.

Port Erin, Isle Of Man An Orange Circular Light

Posted: March 25, 2009

Date: February 14, 2009
Time: Approx. 10:30 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 2
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Circular [round]
Weather Conditions: Calm and clear.

Description: Standing outside the Cherry Orchard Hotel I saw in the distance an orange circular light in the low sky heading from Port Erin bay. It travelled directly towards the hotel and as it neared it was rather like a glowing orange football. It passed over the hotel at no great speed and I called two other people to witness the event. It carried straight on not turning left or right or higher/lower and I watched it until it went out of sight. I am used to seeing aircraft over head at night which are quite distinctive in the lighting arrangements and this not fit a description of that. No sound what so ever accompanied the sighting, also the Isle of Man airport is closed at this time of night.

-----

UFOINFO Note: As with other similar reports I asked the witness to have a look at the UFO Balloons website to see if this is what might have been seen and received the following reply:

Hi John,

Thanks for your reply. I checked out the web site you mentioned prior to reporting the sighting and feel certain that my sighting was not a ufo balloon. The sighting I witnessed was purely circular and was moving through the sky at a steady speed with no deviation in its trajectory. I watched the object for approximately 3 minutes from coming into sight until disappearing from my vision. A possible coincidence happened the 16th February when a colleague of my son who lives in Somerset was out with his young son just as it was dark and saw a very similar sight in the evening sky to what I had seen. Described by him as a completely circular shape orange/red in colour passed over Yeovil. Joe described it as a football shaped orange/red ball with no accompanying sound.

Thank you for your interest in this matter.

Isle Of Man Peel, Peel Golf Course, U.K. A Round Ball Of White Light

Posted: June 22, 2008

Date: April 4, 2008
Time: 10:15 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 1
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Round ball of white light
Weather Conditions: clear and calm with a few scattered clouds

Description: I had just finished a meal and gone out side for a cigarette. Looking up to admire the stars i saw a bright white light moving slowly across the sky. Above the light i could clearly see two passenger planes, there blue and red lights flashing. The bright light then stopped moving and just hung in the sky for about 10 seconds leading me to believe it was just a helicopter, until it shot out of site at very, very high speed.

TV/Radio: Reported on your web site.
