Very Bright Orange Light Observed Over Brighton UK

Hi Brian, I just saw a extremely bright (not Chinese lantern) orange light that looked like a plane on fire over Brighton. I have seen a large meteor burn up before (it cast a shadow) which was bright green.

 

This was totally different, slower moving, wider dispersal of light, but still very bright and was between clouds moving relatively fast across sky.

Extremely unusual, I thought it might be a passenger jet crashing. I caught my attention when I saw something bright out the corner of my eyes I ran over to window  when I realized how bright it was.

I did expect an explosion as it disappeared behind trees at the bottom of my garden. It was hard to estimate distance but I would say about 1-2 miles away. It was extremely bright, wish I was in garden to see if it cast a shadow like the meteor did as this is a good gauge of distance and intensity.

Object Looked Like A Plane On Fire Over Bevendean Brighton East Sussex UK

Hello, At about 8:50 or 8:55pm this evening I saw something strange in the sky, so I just Googled 'Mysterious fire object seen from Sussex' and found your 'Bright Orange Light Over Horsham West Sussex UK' report.

So I must tell you what I saw. I thought it looked like a plane on fire, moving through the sky, low on the horizon, across the back of Bevendean, Brighton, and then down, somewhere visually in the area of Sussex University or possibly just north of Woodingdean.

It seemed to have a head and wings. I thought it was a plane on fire, 'or was it just a boomerang shape?' I thought afterwards because I wasn't sure if I had seen any body beyond the wings, just head and wings shape.

I have checked the news and found no news of a plane crash so far. So maybe it was a meteor moving through the atmosphere, burning up, with a tail of fire at top and bottom, bending back. I have drawn it in pen. I'll try to draw it on my computer later tonight.

It moved quite fast, I saw it for, I guess about 20 seconds, I was shocked thinking it a plane on fire so communicating this to my partner downstairs. I view it out of the north window on the first floor of a house in east Brighton.

I shall check the news again later.

Hello Brian, It was dark, about 8.50 or 8.55pm. (BST). I'll attach a picture I have made of what I remember. It is difficult to be sure of certain details such as the time it took to move across the sky as I saw it, and exactly how far it moved. And I think it looked like flames because of the colour I suppose.

I think its forward trajectory slowed just before I think I saw it begin to drop. Do let me know if you hear of anyone else seeing something like this, please!

Saltdean, Brighton, UK A Circular Object

Number of witnesses: 2
Number of objects: 3, then further 2, moving South East to North West.
Shape of objects: Circular, very, very distant.
Weather Conditions: Very clear evening.

Description: A number of very high objects, white light, small, moving fairly fast - not planes, as we have those around here all the time. Came in and out of focus - at that distance, high in the night sky, they all looked circular. From ground level, they 'looked' the same as stars, but obviously not shooting stars, seen those many times before and traveling at a constant speed.

Saltdean, Brighton, East Sussex, England 6 Objects In Total

Shape of objects: Hard to tell due to the darkness but I would say circular.
Weather Conditions: fine, clear, dry and very warm.

Description: I saw 6 objects in total. All of them came in from the south heading north. The first two were approximately 200ft up and approximately 20ft apart. One was higher than the other. Both were moving at the exact same speed. They were orange in colour and moved at a quick pace. Not something which I would say was floating in the breeze. These went behind houses which was when we lost sight of them. Another one came across a few minutes later. This one was slightly higher than the previous two. This again was moving quickly and seem to climb in height. This again was lost being houses. We then witnessed three of these objects coming across.

These were slightly higher approximately 400 feet. They were eventually spaced by about 20ft. We watched these come across the front of our house then
off north across the fields. Their height did not change throughout our observations nor did their speed. I have checked the weather balloon video etc - I can confirm that this is not the same as we saw.

Brighton Sussex England U.K. UFO

Shape of objects: Unknown.
Weather Conditions: Clear, Bright.

Description: We were sitting in a pub garden when my friend pointed at a shape in the sky towards the south. At first I didn't notice anything very unusual, but after a few seconds I could make out what appeared to be 2 shapes traveling in a straight line across the horizon from east to west, I say 2 shapes but that is really a guess, as it looked like just a round shape with a blob on either side, and the blobs were shrinking and growing as well as moving around the circle in a clockwise motion. Imagine a sphere with 2 smaller globes attached, and the sphere is spinning so the globes are going around it. It was quite far away and hard to make out, this is the best description I can give. It definitely appeared to be like nothing I have seen before in the skies.

Brighton, U.K A Bright Globe Shaped UFO

Description: It was on the Bonefire Night and me and my girlfriend went down to see the old-timer cars from London. As we were late, there were no cars but plenty of fireworks could be seen on the beach. From the Channel a bright orange globe was flying slowly forward Brighton but it had stopped above the sea and stayed there for 5- 6 minutes, then slowly disappeared vertically. You could see the brightness even above the clouds for approx 5 minutes.

TV/Radio: I haven't reported it yet as I didn't want to look stupid. But my friend showed me this website today and I found someone who had the same sighting from an other place.

Saltdean, Brighton, England Two Orange Lights Coming From The Sea

Weather Conditions: Overcast.

Description: We saw two orange lights in sky approximately 1000 feet up and about 500 feet apart. They were not level (one higher than the other).They seemed to be coming from the sea towards the land and very slowly. Not flashing lights. Then they just disappeared after watching them for a few minutes.
