Two Bright White Objects Over Bingley UK
Date: September 5, 2010
Time: 7:00 p.m.
Location of Sighting: Bingley.
Number of witnesses: 1
Number of Objects: 2
Shape of Objects: Round.
Full Description of Event/Sighting: This is a possible sighting of 2 white light spheres. I say possible, because it could of been a large aircraft with landing lights on, but all things considered it could also be a sighting, it would of been a dam big plane and silent.
Two spheres appeared just below the cloud base, one then the other and appeared to be stationary for no more than 10 seconds then disappeared. I am an avid watcher and find this one hard to explain away, as an aircraft or lantern. I watch from the Moores above Bingley and the orbs were I would say between 3 to 4000 feet high, a mile N.N.E. of Bingly.
Can anybody collaborate this one way or the other. I was on the S.E side of the valley so about 3 miles from the objects, (Wilsden area) but if you were in Bingley they would of been big so if they were an aircraft you would of heard them. I could not, but had no problems hearing later aircraft from Yeadon that were smaller further away and hardly visible.
At 7:15 two planes of the same type circled the area that the lights were in, then headed of to the N.E. These were audible and very small in comparison and their lights very dim in comparison also.

From Chinese Lanterns To Real UFOs Over Bingley UK
Date: August 6, 2010
Time: Between 21:30 22:00 and other times.Hi my name is (name removed), and I live in Bingley, I am a regular sky watcher and have seen many bright orange lights over the Bingley Cottingley and Cullingworth area, the last being a very elaborate lantern on the 6/8/10. I believe I also witnessed the light of the 26/7/10 and dismissed it as another lantern.
Two months ago a stream of 18 were released over the Cullingworth area, but alot of people also confuse planes coming into Yeadon airport as they turn on their landing lights, which from a distance can look orange with the pollution in the area, as they come in low.
The lantern on the 6th was let off in the Sandy Lane cricket pitch, I know this because I saw the light and stopped to watch it and as I looked two men asked what I thought it was. When I replied a lantern, they admitted to me they had just released it and it would soon flash a green light which it promptly did. They are keen modelers and let of the lanterns as a bit of a laugh on a regular basis. Usually weekends between 21:30 22:00
However I have seen lights over the area that I cannot explain. I watch on a regular basis as a pastime because of this, and one phenomena I witness on a regular basis are very small flashes of light, blue in colour small, but very intense which are visible in daylight, sometimes complimented with a tail rather like a tadpole. Do you have any idea what these could be?
I have witnessed an upright cylinder hovering in the area and an orange light that I am sure was not a lantern on another occasion. Hope this is of interest to you, and by the way the modelers are letting of lanterns with 3 chambers so they look like 3 orbs together.
If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

Bright Orange Yellow Light Over Bingley Bradford UK
Date: June 26, 2010
Time: Approx: 10:20 p.m.I seen one in Bradford 2 days ago over my house in Bingley 25.06.10. I tried to record it on my mobile phone but I pressed the wrong button because I was rushing. I pressed camera instead of video. It was my first ever sighting, but I wasn't freaked out because I knew they existed all along.
I just got back from Huddersfield after completing my first year at university and I was staying at my mothers house. It was about 10:20pm and I went for a cigarette out in the back garden. I saw in the sky a bright orange/yellow light that looked almost like a comet or ball of fire, but I realised that it was moving too slowly. As it got closer I noticed that it wasn't traveling in a straight line, or at a constant speed, it was almost swerving from side to side. It was heading west, but kept slowing down and speeding up. I knew it wasn't an airplane or a helicopter because it was silent as it passed over the rooftop.
I quickly ran inside the house, picked up my mobile phone and went out of the front door to record it. The object slowly got further away then slowed down even more. All of a sudden it shot off sideways into the distance at great speed and was no longer visible.
I'm ticked off that I don't have any footage, but at least I know that I have seen one for real, with my own eyes and not just on YouTube videos so I no longer have to doubt and wonder if they are fake.
I came back into the front room and sat down next to my sister and watched the TV as though everything was normal. I mean why should I bother telling anyone what I just seen? no one would believe me.
If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

50 To 75 Orange Lights Seen Over Cottingley Bingley UK
Date: January 1, 2010
Time: 12:00 - 12:40 a.m.
Location of Sighting: Cottingley, Bingley.
Number of witnesses: 2
Number of Objects: Between 50 and 75 approx.
Shape of Objects: Unknown.
Full Description of Event/Sighting: My husband and I went outside to watch the fireworks. We live on the side of a hill and had good views over the distance towns/fields. Suddenly we saw three orange lights coming across the horizon which we presumed to be light aircraft, however more kept coming over the hills in waves of two's and three's, sometimes we could see clusters of these lights. They seemed to be evenly spaced and mostly coming from the North heading Southwards.
This went on for about forty minutes. We did not hear any engine noises and they definitely weren't helicopters, although we did think they had slightly flashing lights. We could not make out any shapes even as they passed overhead.

Bingley, West Yorkshire, UK 6 To 8 Orange Lights (Chinese Flying Lanterns)
Posted: April 5, 2009
Date: April 4, 2009
Time: 10:18 p.m.
Location of Sighting: Bingley, West Yorkshire, UK.
Number of witnesses: 4
Number of Objects: 6-8
Shape of Objects: Circular.
Full Description of Event/Sighting: Travelling at altitude and high speed, a succession (6-8 observed) of bright, steady orange lights moving from west to east at approximately 45 second intervals. Most travelled constantly but one disappeared when overhead, another two moved off South at high speed, one of which appeared to have a bit of a tail.
Later we saw a large, hollow unlit cylindrical shape at much lower altitude descending gently as if in free fall. The cylinder appeared to be approx 100 ft in diameter, about twice as long and made of fabric, flexing gently in its descent. At its present rate of descent it should have landed in the vicinity of Baildon or Otley, but unfortunately passed out of sight behind trees before we could determine its likely landing site.
Please let me know if this observation has been corroborated by others. Thanks.

Bingley, Bradford, West Yorkshire, England Large Round Orange Balls Of Light
Posted: November 23, 2008
Date: October 31, 2008
Time: Approx: 9:30 p.m.
Number of witnesses: 2
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Very large round bright orange ball/light constant glow.
Weather Conditions: Cold, dark, dry. no wind, partial cloud cover, stars could be seen through gaps.
Description: We were stood looking out of the back door when the object came into view and very quickly and silently 'flew' from an east to west direction. It travelled at quite a speed similar to a jet but with NO sound or other flashing lights. (live near LBA so flights at night are frequent and common and moments later a plane departed with lights and sound) The broken cloud was quite high, with large gaps and object flew at a steady rate and level under the cloud. It very quickly disappeared from view over towards the Wilsden, Cullingworth direction.
-----
UFOINFO Note: Although the claimed speed of the object did not sound like a balloon/lantern I asked the witness to have a look at the UFO Balloons website to see if this is what might have been seen and received the following reply:
Hi John,
We did see the lantern video, and we feel it definitely was not this we saw. It was far too large and the orange glow was very bright, we got an idea on size, as not long after an aircraft coming out off Leeds and Bradford Airport followed in a familiar flight path, eg height and direction.
Many Regards.
