Unmanned Hot Air Balloon Over Belfast Ireland (Chinese Lantern)

Time: Approx: 7:30 p.m.

As reported last night 23rd October 2 sightings of a then strange object in the sky over Belfast, coming out of the west and altering course overhead to a southerly direction before disappearing. Tonight 24th October, a similar object was observed moving from north to south. At ground level there did not seem to be any noticeable wind, yet it seemed to moving at a fair rate of knots.

This time I was able to view it through a pair of 10x50 binos. What I saw was an unmanned Hot Air balloon. I could see the burner.

The time was about 19.30 and it would be hard to give a size as I could not estimate its altitude, but it was a very bright object in the dark sky which appeared to be much higher than aircraft using our local airports.

Ex Royal Air Force Serviceman Observes Orange Light/Fireball Over Sutton Coldfield UK

I seen exactly the same light traveling in the same direction last night (2215 04/09/10).

I spent 4 years in the Royal Air Force and left in 2006 and I believe I have seen more or less every aircraft that the UK/US fly's in our skies, and worked for some time on operational bases within the UK. What I seen was not a helicopter or a plane (that I know of) as there was absolutely no engine sound, this object also moved very quickly in exactly the same direction (Walsall from Birmingham).

I initially thought a plane was on fire, and was heading towards my parents house in Walsall area (hence my interest in the object). I half expected to hear an explosion of some kind as the orange glow disappeared and faded into the horizon/distance. I know that the military would never ever test aircraft around a major commercial flight path, which this object was very near.

I have no explanation of this, only a possible meteor or comet? How likely is this 'meteor' to have passed on the same path before in the same area? Many Thanks.

Cigar Shaped Object Over Perth Western Australia Red Bull Air Race (Pictures)

Full Description of Event/Sighting: On the 18th April, 2010, I attended the Red Bull Air Race in Perth, Western Australia. I am an amateur photographer, and was keen to get some shots of the show from the southern side of the river facing the city.

I took over 200 shots on the day, and whilst I noticed nothing at the time, I later found an object in 3 of the shots during post processing of the photographs (I saw nothing at the time, however given the speed of what appears in the shot, and with the viewfinder of my camera up to my eyes for much of the day, I wouldn't expect to see anything).

The photos were taken at 1.08pm, according to the camera timer. I took 3 photos in less than 1 second total, in accordance with the Canon 500D DSLR specs. Each of the 3 photos was taken at 1/80th of a second, in both JPEG and RAW format.

The 3 photos show a stationary news helicopter on the left, and a competitor's plane in the centre which appears to hardly move in the 3 shots despite travelling at speed vertically, such was the speed of the 3 photos taken.

The object in the background (or is it a small object close to the lens?) baffles me. It appears to be moving very fast. It is either large, distant and extremely fast moving, or just the opposite. It appears to have no tail such as a meteor might have, and in fact may also be travelling in a slightly upwards direction.

The photos were taken into the sun with a polarizer filter on, and with smoke haze from the aircraft, they did not turn out like I would have liked. My only adjustments to them, however, relate to color and contrast, with no changes to the object in question itself.

This is the first time I have reported the photos as a sighting. A while ago I sent them to a Ufologist in Australia and the conclusion was that they may be an insect up close, in the absence of any other information. I have my doubts however, to me it looks large, fast and distant. For that reason I have decided to report what I have, and let others decide.

South Korea, Kunsan Air Force Army Serviceman Observes Meteor

Time: Approx: 6:30 a.m.

Hi, My name is (name removed) and I am in the Army. I am currently stationed in South Korea at Kunsan Air Force base to be exact. Anyways, I did spot that meteor, but it was in the morning around 630ish. We are 12-14 hours ahead of the U.S. I didn't see much though as it was a little flash and then a green streak was left in the air for about a minute. The streak was, well looking at the sky, probably about and inch long. I'm telling you this cause I seen your page note thing asking for people to tell you about it if we seen it. I hope this helps you out.

Katzweiler, Germany (Near Ramstein Air Base) UFO Or Something Else

Full Description of event/sighting: I have been looking for information on an event that happened to my husband and I in the early 90's.(I think 1993) We were stationed at Ramstein AB and lived in a small village off base. We had just come home from the commissary and were carrying groceries up the 3 flights of stairs to our apartment. We had just reached the top floor and were unlocking our door, got the lights on, when our power seemed to just hum off? It was really strange as it sounded as if the power grid had run down. We lived in this village for 12 years and this was the only time I can ever remember there being a power outage. (The lines were run underground so weather was never a factor).

We were trying to figure out what had happened as we placed our groceries in the kitchen in complete darkness. Our apartment had these great sky lights and we began to see what looked like sparks (fire) in the skylight in the kitchen. We began to think that something around us was on fire so we ran to our bathroom to see if we could see anything on fire around us. As we are doing this I do remember hearing noise, but my memory is not clear on what sound I heard. As we got the shutters pulled up and the window open we could see lots of neighbors outside but the object was gone. You could tell by their voices they were upset. Right then the power ran back on.

Again you could hear it all gear back up. At this time we realized the whole street (possibly village) had been out. This was all of maybe 3-5 minutes. As soon as this happened I called my German friend in Otterbach and told her what happened. The next morning she called me to tell me it had been reported in the German news. At the time I spoke no German and I never asked my neighbors what they saw. I wish now I had, I found your website and wanted to see if anyone living in Germany near Ramstein had reported seeing anything similar. It was very unusual and I only wish we had gotten that window open faster so I could have really seen what it was. I have researched the internet, but I can not find any report around my village for this event. Thanks for any info you might have.
