Fast Moving Object With Red Orange Trail Over South Melbourne Beach Australia

I saw a object exactly as you described it on Monday, March 5, 2012 at approximately 10:00 p.m. I live in South Melbourne Beach about 8 miles north of Sebastian Inlet.

 

I had let my dog out to go to the bathroom prior to going to bed, and thought I saw something flying over the river.   

 

It moved quickly at the end of my street. It crossed approximately the width of the street and then started east toward the ocean. I called my husband out of the house to see it and I told him I first thought of it as a rocket launch, but realized it came from the wrong direction.  

 

There was no noise or rotating beacons, but it was red-orange like a rocket launch trail. As we watched it, it slowly seemed to just fade out. We went back in the house at that point.

 

It was just as you described it.

Large Burning Massive Object With Flaming Trail Over Lytham Lancashire UK

On Saturday night I was returning from work to home in Lytham when driving down Lytham front travelling towards the windmill, (west to east) I sighted what at 1st looked like a large firework travelling over the houses on my left-hand side, about 500 yards ahead. 

 

As I approached it’s trajectory of north to south, across the green and out across towards Southport, it appeared as a large burning mass.

 

It passed right in front of my car and with viability clear enough to see smoke trailing from it’s flaming multi colored tail.

 

It seemed only a few 1000 feet up and bound to hit the water. I slowed to pull into a car park on the front with it in full sight, but it seemed to level out and head straight across the water.

 

I stopped and saw the last trail of smoke behind it, it then just seem to vanish and burn out. It was clear with no cloud and Southport visible. I stopped and waited, but did not see any other sight of it in the distance.

Bright Red Object With Trail Of Molten Material Falling From It Over Burnside Glasgow Scotland UK

Hi, I was searching the net for any reports on burning type lights over the south of Glasgow. I saw a very bright red thing go across the sky last night. I live in Burnside and my top floor flat has uninterrupted views towards the east and I can clearly see the masts at Harthill and the Campsies from my flat.

 

I regularly see planes coming in and out of Glasgow so I am used to seeing these at night. What I saw last night made me jump up from the couch and I watched a large very, very bright red shape go across the pitch black sky.

 

It was bright red and travelled much faster than any aircraft I have seen to date. It travelled from left to right at a uniform very fast speed and as it went out of view it seemed to have a trail of what looked like molten burning coming from the end of it.

I have never seen anything like this and I thought it might be something burning up in the atmosphere but it was so bright and travelled so fast I'm not sure what I saw.

 

I had a search on the net and came over your page so thought I would email to see if you had any other reports like mine. Regards.

Orange Yellow Object With Big Trail Of Fire Seen Over Trafford Centre Manchester UK

I saw it on the M60 last night at about 9:45. We were travelling towards the Trafford Centre and it was to the right of the car in the sky.

 

It then went over the top and I watched it into the distance. It was still glowing in the distance, but I couldn't see the trail, when it was travelling alongside us it had a big trail of fire!

We thought it was a plane on fire at first. What was it??

Sparks Coming Off Long Green And Yellow Object With Fire Trail Over Sheffield/Barnsley UK

Driving home from Sheffield Arena tonight north on M1 my family and I saw a long green and yellow fire trail in the sky above northern Sheffield/Barnsley area. Sparks at the start with a large dark object at the front, but too dark to make out what the flames was coming from.

 

Struck me to be an aircraft engine on fire, but could not see and running lights.

 

The flames were travelling quickly south in view for about 20 seconds and was under the cloud base for the sighting until it was lost in cloud.

 

Strange thing to see and there were hundreds of other cars around that area.

Orange Glowing Object With Long Orange Trail Behind Seen Over West Midlands UK

We saw something that sounds like that, but we are in the UK in West Midlands we saw it about 9:40 p.m. and it was there for about a minute.

 

I thought it may have been something like a shooting star, but the husband says he saw bits coming off the sort of trail behind it.

 

It was like a orange glow ball with long orange trail behind that just disappeared after about a minute not sure if this helps anyone.

Faint Orange Light And Smoke Trail Seen From Coventry West Midlands UK

I seen a bright light with a smoke trail over Coventry West Midlands.

Additional Information:

It was about 7:30pm 4th March 2011 when I saw a faint orange light which brightened very quickly, then dimmed, then brightened again. This is when I seen a tail of smoke. I seen this toward the direction of Birmingham and it lasted about 8 to 10 seconds. The smoke trail was visible for about 5 minutes after.

Orange Fiery Object With Smoke Trail North Of Celland, UK

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I am one of the sceptics who was inquisitive enough to Google next day to see if there was any reportings. Amazingly, almost identical report from Celland which had been sited earlier in month, only this time we saw it from north of the village. Orange, round, firey then burning out to ash colour with smoke trail and again travelling quickly towards Chaplehall, as previous witness reported. By the end of the sighting, apx 3/4 mins we went from inside house to garden,expecting to hear a bang or whatever? Again I am/was a non believer.

Towards Otley Chevin, Yorkshire, England Massive Orange Glow With Smoke Trail

Hi, Tonight (Jan 31 2009) at about 7.00 pm we were sat in our lounge looking out towards Otley Chevin. We can see the aircraft approach the airport from the Menston direction but suddenly from an unusual approach was a massive orange glow which seemed to have a smoke trail behind it, which glowed very brightly then seemed to turn away and disappear. We both were at our lounge window at this point and our neighbour next door was also at hers wondering as we were what it was. Did anyone else witness this, what was it?

We tried to contact LBA in case an aircraft was having problems but their contact number is an answering machine and we didn't want to contact the non emergency police number in case they thought we were a bit daft.

UFOINFO Note: As with other similar reports I asked the witness to have a look at the UFO Balloons website to see if this is what might have been seen and received the following reply:

Hi John, we have looked at this website again, we did look last night, just to double check and it definitely wasn't one of the balloons/lanterns.

It's hard to gauge the size but for us to have seen it from our lounge window, it will have been up to a mile away or so otherwise the Chevin would have blocked our view.

We live adjacent to one of the flight paths to Leeds and Bradford Airport in Yeadon, West Yorkshire, so are used to seeing planes coming in to land and recognise their lights and the size of the plane because of the shape the lights make when they are approaching. This though was coming in from the wrong direction (which sometimes does happen) and was visible for 15-20 seconds. It was unusual because the light was bright orange and circular and much larger than plane lights. When the light didn't come into focus as two lights which happens with a plane, we both got up to get a closer look. We honestly thought it was a plane but it wasn't the right shape, it was circular so then we thought maybe it was a helicopter in trouble. Looking closely out of the window once could see a black tail of smoke we think behind it. We appreciate it was dark but one could definitely see a darker shadow between it because the orange was so bright.

Then it just simply disappeared.

We will keep our eyes on the local news and if there's an explanation we will let you know.

We just wanted to let you know that there was an article in the Yorkshire Evening Post last night regarding similar sightings, although they saw several orange balls we only saw one, there is a picture included in the article taken from the MOD website similar to the one they saw, the brightest ball in the picture is similar to the one we saw too. Full Description of event/sighting: I was standing outside work with colleague when I noticed something in the sky to my left. I looked instantly and it appeared to be a huge fireball with trail which was travelling towards earth, but disappeared behind a building. My colleague and I could not believe what we had seen. It was not a shooting star as it was too large and too low in the sky. We thought it could have been a meteorite, but as I said before, it was very large.

Full Description of event/sighting: I looked up to see like a large orange shooting star with a trail that was very high and very fast moving heading towards Wissey round about, over Fair Road, Wissey Bradford, West Yorkshire, approximately 6:45/7:opt. With no means of camera or anything to record, you only have my word. I'm sorry, but was very weird. The trail and the light disappeared? It was too quick to get a camera anyway and I couldn't believe what I was seeing !

The Coastal City Of East London, South Africa Bright Object And Smoke Trail

Date: July 2006 Time: 11:00 a.m.

Location - The coastal city of East London, South Africa. Witnesses - Mother and son + son's friends.

Description: 1) My son and his friends were playing on the school sports field, when he noticed what appeared to be a bright star in the sky. (At that time of the day ,11am it is far too bright to see stars in our location.)

He described it as a very bright star with a thin Smokey trail behind it. It was very high in the sky, higher than planes fly and far higher than rockets climb to, and it as not a Satellite. It was about the size of Venus. It then traveled straight up out into space and was gone. No noise was heard. Several of the other boys also saw it (UFO).

2) Two weeks later my son and I saw the same "Bright Star" with a thin Smokey trail behind it. This time it was at 7:00 a.m..

I was getting ready to leave home and take my son to school. Our location was East London beach front. It was seen in the western sky.

The same bright light with the Smokey tail and again it went straight up until it could not be seen.

We have no Military or weather bases in this area.

3) Date - February 2007. Location - Sterling high School sports field.

The same "Bright Star" with a Smokey thin tail as sighted. this time it came from the horizon, then went straight up until it disappeared.

I am now convinced that we both saw a UFO and it took a lot of courage to phone you Peter, as when I mention the sightings to my friends they look at me as if I am a 'nut case" Thanks for listening and believing in me and my sighting, I will keep in touch.
