Orange Lights Spotted Flying Towards Torquay And Exeter UK

 

Date:  June 4, 2011 and June 11, 2011

Time:  11:00 p.m. and just before midnight.

 

Saturday June 4, 11:00pm, an orange light approached from the sea and turned across the coast towards Torquay. This was followed by two more orange lights which separated slightly, then the three of them gradually faded in the distance. 

 

Possibly helicopters, but the lights were steady, no flicker, and were still visible when they were travelling away.

 

Saturday 11 June, just before midnight, looking towards Exeter, seemed to be a searchlight from a height of about 500 feet, from a stationary point that swiveled one way then the other for about 5 minutes at least from the time I saw it.  Too high to be ground based, mostly hidden by low cloud, but always just visible.

 

Fascinating!

Five Orange Flames Like Objects Towards Heathrow Airport

Time: Approx: 10:30 p.m.

Sunday 27th June 2010 – seen from Slough area at approx 2230hrs towards Heathrow Airport direction.

This evening I could see the planes taking off etc., around the Heathrow area and then I saw five orange flames, silent, one after the other all travelling in the same direction and then vere off from heading North to then head East. About 20 mins later I saw two more travelling one after the other travelling in the same directions but they were slightly more to the West.

My wife and son saw them all as well. They were NOT chinese lanterns as they were all travelling I the same diretions and then changed direction. They were travelling quite fast and silently, I could hear the planes in the distance, but no sound from these orange flames.

I used a pair of powerful binoculars but could not make any definition other than a ball of orange flame; it was very strange.

Anyone have any idea what these were please?

Full Description of Event/Sighting: On February 09 2009 my cousin and I were playing video games when my cousin saw at the window a tiny circle in the sky to the north. It moved very slowly and then suddenly it went to the west then it zipped out to the horizon.

Towards Otley Chevin, Yorkshire, England Massive Orange Glow With Smoke Trail

Time: Approx: 7:00 p.m.

Hi, Tonight (Jan 31 2009) at about 7.00 pm we were sat in our lounge looking out towards Otley Chevin. We can see the aircraft approach the airport from the Menston direction but suddenly from an unusual approach was a massive orange glow which seemed to have a smoke trail behind it, which glowed very brightly then seemed to turn away and disappear. We both were at our lounge window at this point and our neighbour next door was also at hers wondering as we were what it was. Did anyone else witness this, what was it?

We tried to contact LBA in case an aircraft was having problems but their contact number is an answering machine and we didn't want to contact the non emergency police number in case they thought we were a bit daft.

UFOINFO Note: As with other similar reports I asked the witness to have a look at the UFO Balloons website to see if this is what might have been seen and received the following reply:

Hi John, we have looked at this website again, we did look last night, just to double check and it definitely wasn't one of the balloons/lanterns.

It's hard to gauge the size but for us to have seen it from our lounge window, it will have been up to a mile away or so otherwise the Chevin would have blocked our view.

We live adjacent to one of the flight paths to Leeds and Bradford Airport in Yeadon, West Yorkshire, so are used to seeing planes coming in to land and recognise their lights and the size of the plane because of the shape the lights make when they are approaching. This though was coming in from the wrong direction (which sometimes does happen) and was visible for 15-20 seconds. It was unusual because the light was bright orange and circular and much larger than plane lights. When the light didn't come into focus as two lights which happens with a plane, we both got up to get a closer look. We honestly thought it was a plane but it wasn't the right shape, it was circular so then we thought maybe it was a helicopter in trouble. Looking closely out of the window once could see a black tail of smoke we think behind it. We appreciate it was dark but one could definitely see a darker shadow between it because the orange was so bright.

Then it just simply disappeared.

We will keep our eyes on the local news and if there's an explanation we will let you know.

We just wanted to let you know that there was an article in the Yorkshire Evening Post last night regarding similar sightings, although they saw several orange balls we only saw one, there is a picture included in the article taken from the MOD website similar to the one they saw, the brightest ball in the picture is similar to the one we saw too. M6, North Of Lichfield Towards Manchester, England Objects Just Off The Ground

Weather Conditions: Clear sky, calm.

Description: I was driving a minibus, North to Manchester. I was entertaining myself with singing, pretending to be a DJ. I was aware of the stars. When I said out loud! Patrick Moore would have something to say about this. I was already looking at what looked like two stars in the sky straight ahead possibly a few hundred metres above the ground. and maybe a mile or less ahead. But bright enough for them to look like stars. I looked at the windscreen moving
my position to see if this was some kind of reflection. It was not this, when at very high speed they changed positions by making a half circle. So the one on the left moved over while the one on the right moved under to form in a sense a half circle.

A few second later they did the same again completing a full circle. They then slowly drifted apart. One going to the left and the other going to the right. Again I checked to see if this was some kind of light reflection. It was not. The effect on my brain was one of astonishment at the speed. From standing still to maximum acceleration in what must have been a hundredth or more of a second, the half circle being complete in what seemed the same time. I thought then as I do now that it was a demonstration for my eyes and maybe other witnesses in the vicinity.

A404 Towards Amersham, Over Winchmore Hill, Buckinghamshire Red Lights

Weather Conditions: Very clear, crisp night.

Description: The sky is very clear, constellations very visible. Just past turning to Woodrow High House on A404 in Bucks, open fields either side. A formation of red lights, I think around 8, in a line heading from roughly Beaconsfield towards Amersham. The lights did not flash like a plane/helicopter would be, they pulsed irregularly. At first thought was a number of helicopters. From one of the red lights, a white light descended from it just once, like something
being dropped out. We turned off down a dark country lane directly underneath them and turned the engine off. They were low, but silent.

There was no flashing like on the underside of a plane etc, and totally quiet. There was one seemingly brighter red light slightly further behind the formation that hovered rather than moved with the others. Got back in the car and drove maybe 1/2 a mile to where my passenger lives and parked at his house. The one hovering light was still visible over the house.

Burnley Heading Towards Hameldon Hill, UK 12 Round Glowing Orange Objects

Shape of objects: Round glowing orange.

Full Description of event/sighting: I first spotted an object floating above the neighbors house. When I went out onto the drive, I spotted three more of them heading towards Hameldon Hill, then disappearing. From then on they appeared in twos and threes up to about twelve of them in total and slowly disappeared over Hameldon Hill.

Coming From Enfield Towards Cheshunt UK 25 To 30 Objects

Time: 00.15 a.m. - 00.30 a.m.

Number of witnesses: 4 people, plus 3-4 other vehicles had stopped to observe the sky.
Number of objects: 25-30.
Shape of objects: Flying disks.
Weather Conditions: Perfect clear night sky, no clouds whatsoever

Description: We were returning home from a journey, when we came off junction 25, of the M25, heading towards Cheshunt. At first, we noticed one car stopped at the round-about, with the passengers outside looking and pointing to the skies. We passed them, and looked up at the sky also to see what was occurring, and hence noticed four extremely bright orbs, floating overhead. We pulled over, along with two other cars, and stepped outside. From there we
saw numerous bright lit objects, appearing from the horizon of Enfield, which is in the south, southwest direction. They were moving towards us, northeast, in the direction of Stanstead airport.

These objects did not emit any sounds, or smoke/carbon traces in the sky. They were moving calmly, in a formation of four or five at a time, and at times getting closer to each other, but in general flying in the same direction. They were flying much higher than a helicopter flies, and lower than a passenger aircraft, and were very clear, with a luminosity that seemed almost electric
