Large Orange UFO Over Barnstaple North Devon England UK

Hi Brian, I noticed on your UFO blog that there's been several sighting reports of the same or similar description as what my daughter described to me that she and her husband saw on 23rd March 2010 at 3:00am, except they only saw (one) solitary, very large, orange sphere, which came down above their back yard .

My daughter phoned to tell me about what had happened the next day, I recommended to her that she should report their sighting experience.

I took down written notes, as dawn was describing her and her husband's experience to me. I'll repeat it here for you:

That night, my daughter and husband had been at home watching a dvd together, then both had gone off to bed between 10.30/11.pm. My daughter said she had found it difficult getting to sleep, she decided to go down stairs to make herself a cup of tea, once down stairs, she had looked at the clock and it read 3:00am. She went to fill the kettle up at the kitchen sink, as she was doing so, glanced out of the kitchen window and she saw an intense bright orange ball of light.

She stopped what she was doing to take a closer look, she said it was very big and intensely bright, it started moving across the sky, very slowly, in a perfect straight line. She opened the back door and stood looking up at it, it started moving downwards towards the yard, until it actually came directly over head. She said it was pulsing and it had what she described as a "stomach shape thing" attached to it (the actual organ shape of the stomach) at this point.

She ran back inside, ran upstairs shouting for her husband (who wondered what on earth was happening !) he ran down stairs and as she was describing to him the huge sphere above their yard. She thought it may have gone by the time she got back to the yard, but it was still there! Her husband could see it clearly too, she yelled to him to "stay there, keep watching it", while she got the camera . My daughter told me she was amazed that it actually stayed there. She was able to get a photo of it as it started moving away, she said as it moved off, a flash came off it and it suddenly literally shot off and became a dot.

I asked my daughter, if you hold your hand out at arms length and imagine you're holding a coin, how big would the sphere be ? I asked would it be as big, as say a two pence piece ?, she replied no, even bigger than that, the only way she could describe it was as if you were looking at the moon, as big as that. They couldn't make out what the strange stomach shaped thing was, the actual sphere pulsed she said" like a beating heart".

Barnstaple , North Devon England A Red Colored Light

Hi Brian, About 20 minutes ago at approx 7.50pm , our dog was asking to go out the back, so I stood just outside the back door waiting for him to finish relieving himself as it's very cold here this evening, we've had a lot of frost and ice recently. As I was standing there, I glanced up into the sky , it's a very crisp, clear, cloudless sky tonight, all the stars are bright and twinkling, one of the stars caught my eye as it started to pulse very bright red becoming bigger then smaller (our dog had finished by now and returned inside the house, I'm still standing there freezing. Anyways, I wanted to go in to get my camera, but thought that if I did, it would be gone by the time I got back, so I just kept watching it.

I couldn't make-out any actual shape, it just looked like a red star amongst the rest, it then started moving slowly and purposefully from east to a westerly direction, it was slow, quite low by now and totally sound-less, nothing , very smooth the way it was travelling across the sky. Size-wise, about the same size as the stars , but got bigger as it appeared to come down to a lower altitude and moved across the sky as I've already described. I stood there for about (at a guess) 3 or 4 minutes watching as it pulsed a very bright red .

Could it have been some kind of military aircraft ?, but wouldn't there have been sound with it ?. The weather conditions here this evening are crystal clear, dry, cloud-less, very still and quiet evening as I've already said. I thought I just let you know . With best wishes.

Hi again Brian, I thought I'd send you a UFO sighting that my eldest daughter and my granddaughter and others saw late on this Saturday 18th October 2008. Having seen my daughter (name removed) this afternoon, as we were visiting our aunt in hospital, my daughter sent me a text a short time ago tonight, which I'll repeat here for you just as she has worded it to me.

Place: Goodleigh road area, Barnstaple North Devon England:
Witnesses: 5
Shape of object: Circle.

My daughter's message as follows: Hey mum, I forgot to tell you, me, (three names removed), on Saturday night, all saw a white circle of light in the sky. It moved side to side then faded. It came back at 12.30 am then again at 2am. It stopped moving when we all pointed up to it and the neighbors came out. This was all outside my house. A (name removed) person's dad said he saw it too close to his house, near to where uncle (name removed) lives.

Barnstaple North Devon England UK 3 Pronged Black Retractable Triangular Devise

Hi Brian, As you may remember Brian , I've told you before that we've seen phenomenon in our room late at night before, however, we haven't seen anything for a while now, until the very early hours of the morning.

Every night I always leave our landing light on, with our bedroom door ajar so as to let some light into our room until my husband comes to bed. Then he switches it off before getting into bed.

I was in bed, having been asleep, my husband was still up, he was down stairs. I had woke up and went to move over onto my left side and as I did so, I found myself staring up into an object that I can only describe as some kind of (3) pronged, black, retractable triangular formation, telescopic type device (it did not appear as though it had come through the ceiling, it was just there, hanging in mid-air. As I gasped in shock, it retracted "immediately" as though it was a living, responding thing, to my emotion and sudden movements. As it retracted in on itself, it turned from being a 3 pronged (for want of a better description ! - sorry) retractable telescopic type instrument, to simply (3) circular dots of dull/dim white lights that then moved off/out at an angle and away, literally vanishing in the area of our bedroom window up and out, through the ceiling above the bedroom window. I was able to track it's motion (I was by then sat bolt up-right !). I looked at the time on our digital clock radio on the dressing table below our bed, it said 2.45am.

I was so shocked I had switched on our bedside light too, to get even more light. Then got out of bed, went to the bathroom to get a "reality" check, splashed myself with water, yelled down to my husband and asked if he was ok (which he answered, yes he was ok would be up in minute) then I got back into bed, left the bedside light on as well !.

I didn't mention anything to my husband as it would have freaked him out too (it was bad enough when we both saw something possibly scanning our room last year !) except, my husband's always been very skeptical/very scientific minded until he started seeing things too, sometimes when I hadn't seen or felt anything.

I wasn't going to write to you about this Brian, but thought I should, incase, someone else writes to you and describes the same sort of thing.
If you like, you can use this, however, I thought it may be best to just keep for your reference maybe ?.

I should mention here, that I am not taking any medications. I do realize that there is hypnopompic/hypnagogic sleep states. All I can say is, that to me I was awake and I know what I saw. Anyways, I've told you now !.

Barnstaple North Devon Bright Object Splits Into Three (Photos)

Hi again Brian, At about 10.10 PM tonight, I went into our bedroom to draw the curtains over ready for bed, when a very intensely bright light in the sky caught my eyes. At first, I thought it must be a star, however, it appeared to become bigger and brighter and then split into (3) objects. I rushed into my room here where I keep my camera and to my great annoyance the batteries needed replacing ! I yelled to my husband, to ask if he had any spare batteries and thankfully, he did after a few minutes finding them!

Anyway, I go down stairs, thinking that the objects would by now be gone, they were still there. Having down loaded the photos, I noticed that the date on the camera was still set at last year's date, my husband then set my camera to the correct date and time. As you'll notice that some of the pictures have today's date on and the others don't.

I think that you'll find the photos interesting Brian, when I enlarged them. I could see clearly that the object had indeed formed other smaller objects.

Barnstaple North Devon England Two Round/Circular UFOs

Hi Brian, Witnesses : ( 1 ) - Object / s : - ( 2 ) - shape of objects: - circular/round - weather conditions: - very clear skies, beautiful warm evening.
Barnstaple , North Devon England. Just had to let you know what's just been told to me over the phone just a few minutes ago by my eldest daughter.
My granddaughter's boyfriend phoned her to tell her what he had just witnessed . As he was driving down from Gorwell Rd Barnstaple, about half an hour ago, towards St.Georges Rd , he told her that he saw ( 2 ) extremely bright glowing round orbs in the sky ... as he stopped to look at them and get his phone to call my granddaughter , they simply vanished.

Thought I'd let you know this info Brian, might be useful in some way .

I wouldn't have thought to send in this report to you, to tell you the truth , but thought I would after reading this person's report, as it may be significant and linked to what I saw on the night of Sunday 4th May 2008 between 10.pm - 10.30pm (sorry I can't be more exact about the time frame).

My husband was driving me up to our local hospital A & E department, as I was having so much intense pain in my lower-left jaw, plus, I didn't feel too good to say the least! (it turned out to be an abscess. However, that's not relevant to what I'm about to tell you) Anyway, as we were driving up towards the hospital, over Pilton Bridge up towards the Raleigh Park area we had both noticed that the sky was extremely intensely bright white light in one very localized quite low area of the sky to our left.

My husband commented to me, what's that ? ( I'm actually cradling my head in my hands at this point, because of the intense pain in my jaw! Anyways, I turn my head towards the left and there was this huge area of intense white light. I now comment back to him, that 'I don't know what it could be', unless it's some very bright flood-lights actually reflecting off the sky or something ? My husband then decides to turn left (instead of right) at the traffic lights! (which would have taken us into the hospital grounds, saying, 'if it's ok with you, let's just drive down towards the light and see where it's coming from'? I say 'OK then' we went past the community college, looked in there to see if there was something going on in the grounds (need-less to say there wasn't - not at that time of night anyway) there was absolutely no lights on in the grounds of the school sports fields etc, as such, only the usual security type lighting around the building and grounds. There was nothing that we could see that could have possibly caused that volume and intensity of white light. My husband then drove us along the dual carriage way (nothing seen there) however, there was very (small) patches of mist but nothing like we had seen to account for it. We decided that we didn't know what it was, we were extremely puzzled. We then headed (thankfully) back towards the hospital.

Re: very bright "green" flash of lights: It was while we were heading back towards the hospital the second time at this point (my husband had driven basically in a circle) that I saw a very bright "green" flash of light. It was a circular flash that only lasted for about 1 or 2 seconds at the most, then it quickly vanished (just as the person in the report said) we were driving up along Abbey road (to my left) as we were heading up through that road still looking for possible causes of the mystery white light. My husband did not witness this green intense flash of light, it was such a quick flash. I had said to him, that I had just seen an intense green flash of light, he said to me, that it was probably my eyes playing tricks on me, saying that it was because I could be tired. I should point out, that the green flash was also in the approximate area of sky that we could see the mystery white light.

I wouldn't have bothered reporting this to you Brian had I not just read the Orlando, Florida report. The person says that they thought their eyes was playing tricks on them, which is what my husband had said to me. I know what I saw ! Hope I've made sense and that this information is helpful.

Barnstaple - North Devon England Sky Comes Alive With Jet Aircraft

Just out of interest. I thought I'd let you know that something's being on in our skies here tonight. Approx 9.30pm tonight, I was sat watching TV when I had the weirdest feeling and our dog started to pace the room (I was in our kitchen/dinning room - out back of our house) I felt really weird, this feeling precipitated the next sensation/sound, which was almighty roaring of aircraft flying above our houses.

Our dog didn't bark, but started pacing around the room looking bothered and he whimpered a few times. At first, I thought it was probably nothing very much to get alarmed about and thought that it was probably something to do with RAF Chivenor marine base. I called to my husband to ask him what he thought it was. He commented that it was nothing very much, just practice for the military probably.

Then it started-up again, even louder this time. It sounded as though it was right above our roof ! I got outside the back door as fast as I could, my husband followed me saying that it's probably RAF Chivenor doing some kind of training. (Over top of peoples houses ?)

I/we could clearly hear the roaring of jet aircrafts, however, we couldn't (see) anything - not a thing ! We could see lots of "stars" as the sky was so clear and the moon was very bright, but we couldn't see any aircraft at all even though we could clearly hear them. It was more than one aircraft, it just had to be, by the sounds we heard, either that, or one hell of a big aircraft of some kind ! It went on for several minutes and then the whole sky seemed to come alive with the roaring. I didn't see any next-door neighbors looking out their windows. I even went up stairs to look out the windows to see if anyone else was looking out with curiosity like I was, I couldn't see anyone at all. They probably all had the same opinion as my husband and so didn't even bother to look see.
Maybe my husband's right, maybe it was some kind of military exercise ? It's just that I had such a weird feeling and our dog behaving like that was odd too, he's always ok when a helicopter fly's over nearby as it never bothers him. It was no way a helicopters, not making sounds like that !

There's something else I will tell you. In the very early hours of Wednesday morning, my husband decided to drive up to our local 24 hours grocery store, it's just up the road here from us, as he had realized that we had run out of milk, he wanted to go buy some. My husband told me that something strange had happened on his way back from the store (it was still dark - only 3:30am. He told me that as he was approaching the round-about, the bonnet of the car had lit-up a violet/electric white blue color, this light, he told me, was all across the road directly in front of the car. He said that at first, he thought that it must be a police car driving up and reflecting lights ahead or an ambulance or some such emergency type vehicle.

However, he said he could hear no sounds of emergency sirens or anything, the road was completely empty, he had even got ready to pull-over incase an ambulance wanted to rush past him, as he was coming up to the traffic lights. That's when he thought that it was very odd, as he checked in his mirrors, he could see absolutely no emergency vehicles , no other traffic on the roads at all, he then thought that he must be hallucinating or something, but quickly realized that it was in fact, very real, he said he then saw one vehicle on the road ahead in the distance from him it was a white Mercedes van ,which he said he saw turning-off to his right. My husband said that after noticing the van driving down towards the town centre, that this violet/electric white blue light, that was lighting up the road directly in front of him had totally gone now.

I just thought that this might be of interest to you some way , and I have to say that I'm now wondering whether these 2 events may be linked in some way.

Full Description of event/sighting: Hi Brian,

Re: your sighting report of 1964 : Dorchester, Massachusetts UFO sighting.

Braunton, North Devon, England - 1964 : Time: early evening / not dark: clear skies. Approx: early August time. There are a couple of similarities to the Dorchester 1964 UFO sighting, that I had back in 1964 also, when I was 10 years old. The other similarity, is that I was also with one of my brothers who was 8 years older than me, he was 18 years old at that time.

I remember that I had gone home after being out playing with my friends, I was standing in our back garden. My brother had also returned home and joined me in the back garden. We both noticed an object quite high up in the sky above the houses and fields, as we stood facing the bottom of the garden. The object was circular, silent and emitting/pulsing multi coloured lights, it was obviously under intelligent control, because of the way that it was moving. It would appear in one area to the left, then to the right etc. My brother and I stood there intrigued by it, both saying to each other that we wondered what it could be. Next thing, we hear and see 2 RAF jet aircraft flying up towards the object - (Chivenor air base is just 2 miles down the road from were we lived back then ). It then got very interesting, because the object/UFO appeared to start playing with the 2 aircraft, it looked as though it was playing a game of 'catch me if you can'.

I remember feeling upset and scared that the aircraft may harm the UFO. I also felt that it knew that we were watching it and had been putting on a little show for my brother and me. The jets couldn't reach it (thank goodness). My brother told me to 'stay here, don't move or take your eyes off it. I'm going to phone Chivenor air-base, I wont be long'! ( back then, our parents were not on the phone not many people were there then) so my brother got on his bicycle and cycled to the nearest telephone box in Braunton. Whilst I stood there staring up into the sky on my own. I felt a kind of link with the UFO. I really didn't want the 2 jets to get to it. The UFO was going left/right stopping dead, then starting off again and appearing/disappearing really playfully. Then finally, it just blinked out kind of thing and just disappeared. My brother returned, very puffed out, having just rode his bicycle down to the village and back at warp-speed! He had managed to phone Chivenor, he told me he had asked them what was going on, and what the object was. He told me that they said to him that it was a " weather balloon". Barnstaple North Devon England Strange Sounds - Electrical Problems

HBCC UFO Research Note: It seems like there is alot of this type of report coming in, strange sounds, problems with the electrical, etc. Sure makes one wonder what is happening and of course what the cause is.

Full Description of event/sighting: Hi again Brian, having just read the Murrieta, California, possible Triangle report 7 Feb, 2008. I noted similarities of something that happened with us here a few weeks ago, (you may recall I emailed you about it at the time ?, I can't remember the date right now). I do remember the time, because I had not been asleep and was sat up in bed. I had looked at the clock, it was just after 3 AM - all the lights in our house started flickering, there was a weird sensation in the air that I can only describe as electro-static.

Our bedroom windows vibrated slightly and there was also a very weird sound, kind of a rushing sound like the wind, however, it was not windy at that time. I got out of bed to call my husband who was downstairs (he too could not sleep) he was making his way up the stairs to me to ask me did the lights fickler up stairs too. He also heard the strange sound like wind. We didn't actually see anything though. I did say in my email to you that I felt that something had passed over top of our house. Because we didn't see anything, I have no proof of it. The sound went as fast as it had came also, so I don't feel that it was simply wind that night. Barnstaple, North Devon England.

Also so everyone reading this report, I do know the witness and is very creditable. There is a man's name used in this report, his name is Ken and is his real name and reports and interviews were done and permission was given to use his first name only.

Hi Brian, A short while ago I thought I'd listen to one of your interviews - I chose: The Jeff Rense show with guest Brian Vike of HBCC Research (3/21/ 2006) interview with 'Ken'. - ( posted Feb 10th 2007. )

This February 10th 2007 - my husband '(name removed)' and I received a phone call saying we had to get up to Oxfordshire ASAP, as my husbands' dad was dieing. We left almost immediately and started out on the 200 miles journey. It was very dark and very late at night. I had noticed a UFO which had appeared to my left, it was emitting multi-colored lights and it stayed with us virtually all the way from just outside of Barnstaple.

The thing that prompted me to email you - (actually, I also emailed Derrel Sims about this too). Was a couple of things that 'Ken' mentioned in his interview. Before I continue I want to add that I had not previously listened to this interview, at that time Feb/March 07 was a very upsetting time for us all as my father in-law passed away on 10th Feb 07.

Re: Ken's interview: Ken said that he had seen something come down off his bedroom ceiling. I froze when I heard him saying this, because I have been seeing things in our bedroom very late at night/early hours of the morning sometimes and have never heard anyone else say the same thing! Also the triangles he saw on his inner forearms, he said were both 4 inches equilateral. I had a triangle mark in about 2002 which was approx 4cm equilateral on one wrist only. I discovered it on going to the bathroom when I was about to wash my hands. I noticed a small triangle on my inner arm between my wrist and hand, but it had vanished by the next day at the time. I could not wake my husband up to tell him, so he didn't see it. I did mention it to him the next day and I also mentioned it to my doctor when I had gone to see him about something else. He said I must have had an imprint from something that was either in or on the bed.

My husband has seen these objects also from time to time, obviously we try to rationalize what it could be. We've thought of "optical floaters" etc etc. The last one I saw was a kind of a darkish diamond type shape, kind of like the star shaped one that I saw ages ago - rather like those mesh type stars you can get as Christmas tree decorations that's made out of wire. I've seen that, but this other one, had a diamond type shape to it. Then the very last thing I saw, I was lying on my back in bed looking up to the ceiling when my heart almost came up into my throat so to speak! I thought I saw something inside our bedroom lampshade.

(We have one of those up side down lamp shades directly above our bed) I saw a small dark shadowy type figure to one side of it inside the actual lamp shade, when I had a sharp in-take of breath because it scared me. It appeared as if it crept back inside the lampshade, then I thought, ok, maybe it's just my eyes playing tricks on me. I needed to use the bathroom, so went to the bathroom, got back into bed and I turned onto my left side facing the bedroom window. I made-out that I was going to sleep, pulled the duvet up high over my shoulders and tried not to show any emotion. I had a very eerie feeling, I glanced up to my right and there it was. I said 'get out of here, leave me alone' and it just turned to mist. The other shapes I've seen have always gone out towards the bedroom window. One night, my husband told me he had lay awake in bed not being able to sleep.

He said he had watched an object come in via our bedroom window (which was shut) and do a kind of scan around the perimeter of our bedroom ceiling (he could see this, because a lot of light from the street light was coming in around the edges of the curtains), he said it was about the size of his tobacco tin and he said that I was fast asleep. He didn't want to wake me and disturb this object, he said he wanted to know what the heck it was doing. He said after it had encircled the entire bedroom and it just left through the same area at the top corner above our curtains and was gone. The very last one he saw, he said looked kind of like a crab as it seemed to crawl across the ceiling (my husband is totally uninterested in UFOs, he's not religious, he's an agnostic. He is scientific minded though and always tries to rationalize what something might be, like optical floaters etc.

Larry Dicken and Jerry Pippin have all these details - and now, because I had a "suspected " implant I discovered in my very "private" area, Jerry suggested Derrel Sims to me. I have been emailing Derrel about what I've seen throughout my life.
