Huge Orange Crescent UFO Seen On The Horizon At Melbourne Australia

 Date:  June 2014 ?

Above Melbourne, Australia about a month back I and a whole group of my friends saw a similar thing, a huge orange crescent not far above the horizon that we originally thought was the moon, but then slowly disappeared as though clouds were closing in from both top and bottom.

It was also facing the wrong way to be the moon, like a smile and when I looked it up online I found nothing.

Orange Crescent Moon Shape Object Seen Over Exmouth Devon England UK

Date:  August 12, 2012
Time:  Approx: 2:35 a.m.

Hello Brian, your website is the first that came up on Google when I typed in 'orange crescent moon shape disappearing'. To give a time date and place before I begin, it's the 12th August 2012 in England and this all happened at around 2:35 a.m.

I was smoking a cigarette out of my bedroom window, which faces east and I saw a beautiful glowing moon (object). At first I thought it was the moon, and was admiring the vibrant colour (as I have seen red moons abroad before, so thought it highly possible for there to be an orange moon and counted myself lucky).

It must have been around 2 minutes before it disappeared within seconds. Unfortunately I can't say how long it was there, as I only saw it for the 2 or so minutes I had noticed.

I immediately realized that the sky is not starry as we have just had a small and brief thunderstorm and that I could not see the moon from any window. I had my laptop in my hands, luckily, and Googled it straight away.

My first reaction was to think it a UFO sighting and to know that you saw the same in Chicago is to much of a coincidence! I have never seen a sighting before, and have always believed that there is something beyond us, but this has made me want to question things further.

I'd be really interested to know if you've had any other feedback on sightings elsewhere in the world and what you saw. Hope to hear from you soon! Best regards.

Crescent Shaped Fireball Seen Expanding Then Disappearing Over Midrand Gauteng South Africa

Date:  January 26, 2012
Time:  Evening.

Hi, about 20 minutes ago my sister and I saw a crescent shaped fireball in the night sky. It wasn't exploding, more like expanding then disappearing.

We live in Midrand and it was in the western sky. Looked like a portal or something. Thanks.

Orange Ball Of Light Over Broomhall Crescent Edinburgh Scotland

Date: December 25, 2010
Time: 10:54 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Broomhall Crescent Edinburgh Scotland.
Number of witnesses: 1
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Orange ball.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I came home from my aunties and let our dog out the back and my fiancé went upstairs to the toilet and this orange ball flew right above the houses at the back going from left to right. It never changed speed, but when I shouted for my girlfriend to come and look at it.

It suddenly started dimming, but you could still see the object slightly. It did not make any noise. I am a 22 year old man and I am not into this kind off stuff at all, and have never seen anything like this before.

I have read through some things in the last 20 minuets about it might be a Chinese lantern, but it was 100% not a lantern and people in Edinburgh don't do that or I have never seen or heard off that nonsense. Please could you email me if you get any more sightings of this please.

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

Worthing, Seamill Park Crescent, U.K. A Clearly Defined Orb

Posted: June 28, 2008

Date: June 23, 2008
Time: Approx: 5.00 p.m.

Location of Sighting: UK, Worthing, Seamill Park Crescent.
Number of witnesses: 2
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Clearly defined orb.

Full Description of event/sighting: At approx 5pm on Monday 23 June 2008, I was in the garden, chatting the phone and watching the birds and planes overhead as usual. It was a bright, sunny, late afternoon, almost totally clear blue skies with a reasonable Easterly wind , when I noticed something very strange in the sky.

It was extremely high up, way, way up above the commercial airlines passing overhead, yet somehow it was so clearly visible. It was a very clearly defined orange orb, not fuzzy or glowing or anything, just a bright orange ball in the sky.

I watched it for a few minutes, and it was making very peculiar movements, going slowly backwards and forwards (not in same direction as wind) and then stopping perfectly still and motionless before moving very slowly again. I was very perplexed, and a little spooked to be honest, as I just could not work out what on earth it was. It then stopped and remained very still. I wondered if I was maybe going crazy.. so I went and asked a nearby neighbor to come and have a look.

He also was totally perplexed. We watched it for approximately a further 5 minutes, trying to come up with every rational explanation we could think of (it was far too high and moving far too strangely to possibly be a Hot Air Balloon or Lantern or all the other possibilities we each tried to come up with, like a military plane or anything), but neither of us could solve what it was.

He said he'd never seen anything like it in his life. And neither had I. It kept moving, very slowly, then stopping perfectly still at random intervals. It then moved slowly directly South, towards sea, then just totally vanished out of thin air before our eyes.

I have never been a UFO type person, neither had he, but we were both transfixed by this thing and could not take our eyes off it. I tried to capture it several times on my mobile phone camera or video, but nothing seemed to be visible through that (maybe too high for a small camera phone?).

I suggested we report it, and he said people would think we were "crazy". But in the following days, I saw on BBC news that similar sightings had be made in the North of England (Liverpool) and Wales. So I decided to report it to the local Newspaper (Worthing Herald) , but they have not published anything thus far.

I'm a mature, rational, down to earth woman in my 40's, with a professional background, and my neighbor is also similar age and perfectly normal. Neither of us has had any previous interest or experience of UFO's.

With or without photo evidence, I know what I saw, witnessed by someone else, and now I am a firm believer that we are not alone in space!

Thank you to the witness for the good report.
