3 Orange Lights In The Sky Over Southend On Sea Essex UK

Date: October 2010
Time: Evening.

Hi, I was browsing the internet and decided to Google something I saw last year when I came upon your post here http://worldufos.blogspot.com/2010/12/3-orange-lights-in-sky-over-kent.html

I thought you'd be interested in my sighting.

It was in October 2010 and I was having a ciggy in the garden of my house, in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, and watching the stars when I saw 3 orange lights in the sky. They were in a triangle formation (appeared to be fixed) and possibly there was a dimmer light in the middle of them, I didn't get a good look as they were moving very quickly.

The thing that struck me as odd was that they appeared out of nowhere and disappeared as quickly as the came, after quickly traveling in a straight line in the direction towards the seafront, also there was no engine noise.

I'm on the fence about things like this and can only assume that it was an unknown aircraft of some sort, maybe military.

Anyway I hope this interests you. I don't really have any other information and I haven't seen anything like this before or since.

Best wishes.

Red Cigar Shaped UFO Over Southend On The Sea UK

Date: Either July 1st or July 2, 2010
Time: Late evening.

Hello Brian, I was interested in your sighting because of something I saw in the sky at the beginning of July. It was either Thursday 1st or Friday 2nd July, I am not entirely sure which night because I had been ill all that week and one day kind of merged into another. However, I had gone downstairs to get a glass of water and as I returned to my bedroom I glanced through the window and saw a very bright glowing red/orange light in the eastern sky.

It was not moving and it certainly didn't look like a planet or star and despite still not feeling well I was riveted to the sight because it was so intriguing. It seemed to be a cigar shape for want of a better term and the brightest glowing red colour I had ever seen. I watched it for a few minutes and willed it to move so that I could check out its speed or at the very least get more of an idea as to what it really was.

As I had this thought the object seemed to merge into a cloud that was behind it and then almost immediately I noticed it in another part of the sky in a more NNW direction. I didn't see it move, nor did it make a sound, but it must have moved at some speed to cover the distance it traveled in a matter of 2 or 3 seconds. At least, that's how long it took me to notice it, it may well have moved quicker than that.

I saw something similar last night around 8.40pm. It was the same glowing red colour, and this was attracted me to it, but this time it was moving across the sky in a west to east direction. It didn't seem to be moving very fast but again I am pretty sure it wasn't any aircraft. Again it made no noise and eventually just merged into the clouds.

I'm not a UFO fanatic and I don't go around looking for them but I do believe they exist and that it's possible more and more people are going to be spotting them leading up to 2012.

Your sighting sounds absolutely awesome. I wish I could have got some photographic evidence for mine but thought that by the time I had got my camera sorted the craft would probably have disappeared anyway.

Exciting stuff which ever way you look at it.

Regards.

Bright Orange Glowing Object Over Southend On The Sea Essex UK

Date: April 28, 2010
Time: 7:40 p.m.

Hi Brian, thank you for giving me an avenue to express my emotions. I have contacted CNN in America, CNN in the UK and BBC in the UK and all the newspapers international. I called national radio Talksport and on there I got to say what had happened to me, but the show was half joking, so I need to put it across with fun or they would have cut me off. The producer said to me after the call, that they want to get me back on when they do a longer show. It's such a horrible feeling to not be able to say what you have seen. If I had seen an accident, I can call 999 and the ambulance would come and the police would take my statement. I then would have some kind of closure, but this feeling is just horrible.

The sighting happened on 28/4/10 at 7:40pm in the United Kingdom, Southend on the Sea Essex, it was still very light and I just popped down to my local shop to get a few beers for the Barcelona Milan semi final football. As I turned the corner of the street, I noticed a very bright orange glow in the north sky. It was coming from the direction of the local Southend airport.

At first I thought, police helicopter and then I thought, no they have a bright white light. As I walked and watched, it got bigger and bigger and bigger. I stood behind a telegraph pole, this object swerved to the left and flew down my road at about 300 feet high. This thing was massive. I would estimate the size of a large detached house, maybe bigger. It was glowing and pulsing and burning fire, but this was a fire that I've never seen before.

It was like lava from a volcano and it was a perfectly round from the front and from the underside. As it went over me, I cupped my hands together to increase what I could hear, I can tell you categorically that this made no sound whatsoever. I just wish that my car ran like that. As it passed me it was round from the rear and then all of a sudden it veered left again and within seconds it was gone.

One very strange thing that happened, was that there was 3 other people that I called and they saw it as well, but we seemed to go our separate ways without discussing what we saw. Now I'm getting a real freaked out feeling, of course I remember we just walked away and said, my god how strange. Sorry Brian, that has just come flooding back to me as I'm writing this now. I said to the wife yesterday, that I was proud to be human, that's the first time I've ever said that.

Rayleigh Essex Looking Toward Southend/Shoebury, UK Round Lights

Posted: January 7, 2009

Date: January 1, 2009
Time: 01.15

Location of Sighting: Rayleigh Essex looking toward Southend/Shoebury.
Number of witnesses: 5
Number of objects: 3
Shape of objects: Appeared round but were lights in a dark sky.

Full Description of event/sighting: Noticed three orange lights initially stationary, in the formation of an equilateral triangle. They appeared east of us difficult to estimate the distance but seemed more distant than close i.e. largish objects far away not small objects up close.

Two of them headed south remaining equi-distant to each other whilst the 3rd stayed where it was then some seconds later followed, caught up rejoining the other two. All three seemed to accelerate and as they moved off towards the south over the estuary they climbed into cloud disappearing from view.

We saw them for around three minutes as we walked around 150 metres in total including pausing to stop and stare at them. They seemed to be on a heading of south and were around 20 degrees from the horizon when first formed in their triangle.

Reported them to our local BBC Essex station who wondered if they were aircraft (definitely not no navigation or landing lights) which we are familiar with as we live near the airport. They suggested atmospheric conditions which I asked them to explain to me - not heard back yet.

Also logged it with a local ufo group. Fascinated to see the report from Shoebury approx: 8 miles east of us though it seems a different time. I also found other reports of similar orange lights.

I wrote down some notes the next morning and estimated a bearing using google earth which would have placed them somewhere over Southend/the estuary i.e. very close to Shoebury.

Welcome any thoughts on what they might be - discounting chinese lanterns by the formation and varying speeds etc. which seems unlikely. Neither flares or fireworks. Would love to know from the airport if there were any aircraft around or any radar records etc.

Thank you to the witness for their sighting report.
