Orange Lights In The Night Sky Over Laezonia Pretoria South Africa

Time:  12”02 a.m.

Hi, I just wanted to let you know that I am from Laezonia, it falls under Pretoria. A minute or two after New Year we saw orange lights in the sky, the one was by it self and the other had three lights in the shape of a triangle, the triangle just stood still for  a while and then slowly moved away and disappeared while the single light moved away at a constant speed and disappeared.

It was very bizarre and strange.

I understand that many people seem to think these are Chinese lanterns, but it is impossible as those lanterns are always moving and this triangle was steadily hovering for a long time.

We are on a plot and were having a New Years party and all went outside to see the fireworks at midnight, to our dismay there were only a few on the other side to where we sighted these lights.

They were also not high up in the sky, we could see the lights very clearly and low down.

I have several witnesses who watched this with me.

Lights Darting Around The Night Sky Over Great Parnissus Resort Cancun Mexico

Time:  Approx: 9:30 p.m.

 

I just read the post about the strange lights in the sky in Cancun and felt compelled to offer my own story. My family and I arrived in Cancun at the Great Parnissus resort in the hotel zone on 04.04.09. At approximately 9:30 p.m., after the kids (and, sadly, my wife) had already fallen asleep.

 

I was star gazing and taking in the beauty of the surf when what I thought was a star flew with a curved trajectory, apparently stopping in mid air, and took back off in the direction from which it came, and disappeared.

 

Immediately another one followed behind and virtually copied the course of the first object. Needless to say, my eyes were glued to the sky for the remainder of the night, but there were no more recurrences, at least none that I could see.

 

The following day at breakfast I discussed my sightings with my family, who all believed me as I've always been an avid star gazer, lover of all things aviation, and believer in UFO's. That night, luckily before the rest of the family gave in to sleep, the lights returned.

 

This night, however, there were many, many more of the lights in the sky. They seemed to be playing with each other, darting this way any that, many times coming to a virtual stop in the sky, and then zooming off in other directions at what appeared to be incredible speeds.

 

This continued for probably 20-30 minutes before they disappeared one-by-one. We stayed at the resort for a full week, but unfortunately this was the last I saw of the lights. My guess as to what they were? My gut tells me they were ultra top secret military aircraft, but I certainly can't rule out that the sightings were of an extra-terrestrial nature.

 

Regardless of what they actually were, they certainly were unusual and bizarre, to say the least.

Object Shot Upward In The Night Sky North Of Wellington New Zealand

Date: Few years ago. Report posted January 22, 2011.

Time: Evening.

I haven’t told many people about this event that happened when I was staying at my Nana’s house on a farm in the school holidays about hour north of Wellington on the west coast side.

One night Nana went outside for a walk and asked if I would like a walk too, yes. The night was clear and no wind, we walked around for little while, then Nana stopped not far from the gate and was looking towards the east.

She pointed towards to the east, and said look over there, I replied, look where Nan. Above the hills where the stars are, see that star, the star that is moving. I had a problem trying to see the star move. Then suddenly I saw it.

The star was the same as the other stars seen in the sky, same size, same colour and the difference was the other stars were still. This star was moving around slightly. I only got to watch the light for about a minute in this position, when all of sudden it shot to my right horizontally about 300mm head turn.

It was so quick then it stopped, so quick and stayed in this position for a couple of seconds then the light shot upwards at a slight angle and it was gone. It was amazing to watch. This event happened few years ago.

Lights Darting Around The Night Sky Over Kent UK

Date: July 1982

Time: Late evening.

Hi there, I have just read a report from an 18 year old guy who lives in Kent, regarding a sighting in summer 1982 in the Bromley area.

Hi Brian, Thanks for replying - here is what I saw.

July 1982 - Kent

Driving through the winding country lanes of Kent late in the evening, we saw what I can only describe as 'headlights' in the sky quite some way away. I couldn't work out why there were headlights in the sky and thought they must be from our car as they were moving from left to right and back again. I knew this wouldn't be the reason, but couldn't think of anything else.

We stopped the car and watched the lights darting backwards and forwards. This then stopped and one light just stayed there, not that high up in the clear sky and didn't move, but seemed to be getting smaller. Not sure how long we watched this for, a few minutes at least. Then we drove on. It felt 'strange' and we couldn't think of any reasonable explanation as it certainly wasn't from a helicopter or plane.
