Thin Fluorescent Green Light Spotted Over Old Deer Park Richmond-Upon-Thames England UK

Date:  March 10, 2012
Time:  Evening.

I was just outside in The Old Deer Park in Richmond and watched exactly this same thin fluorescent green light. My husband and I watched it for about ten minutes.

There were some dog walkers in the park who saw it as well. Same static position - visible off and on through the cloud cover. At one point multiple slivers of green light were noted.

We were wondering if this was the Aurora Borealis as there has been a lot of solar activity this week. Did anyone else notice these lights?

Dull Green Light With 360 Degree Halo Over Walton On Thames UK

Date: October 30, 2010
Time: 9:45 p.m.

Hi Brian, I also saw a strange light over Walton on Thames at about 21:45 UK time 30-10-10. Walton is directly on the London Heathrow Standard Instrument Departure for runway 09 Right, and most aircraft are fairly low at about 1500 feet climbing to 3000

What I saw was at about 200 feet, travelling at about 50 mph, a dull green orb with a 360 degree halo, the dullness of the light aircraft literally follow the same path you can time your watch by them.

So when you see something unusual in this area it really is unusual, if not extremely dangerous.

Bright Orange Star Like Light Over Walton On Thames UK

Date: October 11, 2010
Time: Approx: 6:00 p.m.

Hi after reading the UFO sighting report in Surrey in January of this year, I felt compelled to email you our experience on Monday 11th October 2010. We are quite skeptical when it comes to these sightings, but what my husband and I saw this week was truly amazing and we are so glad we saw the same thing.

My husband had been in our garage and I heard him shout at me from our driveway in Walton on Thames (about 2 miles from Esher). I went outside and in the sky was a bright orange star like light travelling at speed over our home, it was high up in the sky, but not as high as planes travel over our area. It was totally silent, as it continued the light on it flickered and then went out in the distance.

When the light went out, we could make out a black round-ish shape of a considerable size, then it disappeared. It was about 6:00pm and dark so the black shape we saw was visible only by the moonlight. To say this has us spooked, would be an understatement! Many thanks.

Ball Of Golden Yellow Light Over The Thames Estuary Leigh On Sea UK

Date: January 1, 2010
Time: Approx: 12:05 a.m.

My partner and I were in the garden watching the fireworks. Approx: 12:05am. We both saw a yellow ball of light travel horizontally across the sky; quite low. We thought it was a plane on fire, but as it lowered and started to turn, we realized it looked like a ball of golden yellow light. It looked as if it was going over the Thames Estuary. Never experienced anything like this before. Leigh on Sea Essex.

South Bank, River Thames, Near London Bridge, England Star Like Object

Posted: May 24, 2009

Date: May 1, 2009
Time: 08:00

Number of witnesses: 1
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Star-like
Most likely a weather balloon but.

About 08.00, sitting on south bank of Thames near London bridge, looking towards NW London. Spotted bright, star-like object moving slowly northwards. Watched for about 20-25 mins. Probably not a plane (saw it for too long and no contrail...another jet at altitude flew over NW London for comparison and was definitely identifiable as such, with trail.) Appeared to be stationary at times (but probably just heading away from me).

Not the ISS (seen that many times to know what it looks like and how it moves) and not another satellite (which don't move that slowly). Bright sunshine at the time, clear skies, enough planes over London for comparison.

My guess is a weather balloon, but thought it was interesting enough to report.

Westcliff On Sea, Essex Close to the Thames Estuary Large Orange Object

Posted: February 12, 2009

Date: January 1, 2009
Time: 00.02

Number of witnesses: 3
Number of objects: 5
Shape of objects: Not quite circular seemed to be flat on one edge.
Weather Conditions: Dry with some patchy cloud.

Description: We were seeing the New Year in on our balcony, watching fireworks when a large creamy coloured light with an orangey edge about the size of a tea plate appeared above us coming from the NW. We thought it was a helicopter but quickly realized that it was making no noise and there were none of the lights that we regularly see on helicopters overhead. Nor was it an aircraft. It progressed very smoothly towards the Thames Estuary and at a certain point seemed to stop then started to shrink in size until a pin prick and disappeared. Almost immediately three more lights appeared to the SE of us over the Thames. They were identical to the first light only smaller and moving in a triangular formation as they came towards us, and when each light reached the place where the first light had disappeared it in turn shrank and disappeared.

Moments later a fifth light appeared from the same direction as the last three (from the S.E.) and glided to the same spot where the other four lights had disappeared, then it shrank and disappeared. While this was taking place hundreds of fireworks were being set off to mark the New Year. My son had been watching the fireworks from a friend's garden in Leigh-on-Sea - slightly further inland and to the west of us. When my husband and I told him what we had seen, he said he and his friends had been watching these lights too and were wondering what they were.

UFOINFO Note: As with other similar reports I asked the witness to have a look at the UFO Balloons website to see if this is what might have been seen and received the following reply:

Hello John

I have looked at the video and doubt whether the balloons are what we saw. The lights we saw were moving too steadily. If they had been balloons they would have been moving on an air current or in the wind so would have been moving in more or less the same direction. Whereas, the first light we saw definitely came over our roof top from behind us - from the north west, while the other four lights were coming towards us from the south east. The three light that were in a triangle kept the same distance from each other until each one disappeared. Sometimes there are laser light shows from South end over the estuary and I wondered if it might have been this ... but my son and his friend would not have been able to see the laser lights from where they were watching. I had almost forgotten about the lights until I read a report about a similar sighting this week made by a farmer in Lincolnshire. The lights he saw sounded similar.

Best wishes.

Thames Ditton Surrey UK Two Round A Shinny Objects

Posted: August 3, 2008

Date: July 16, 2008
Time: 8:00 p.m. and 8.45 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 2
Number of objects: 2
Shape of objects: Perfectly round and shiny.
Weather Conditions: Overcast and very high cloud but blue sky behind the clouds.

Description: I am not sure if it was certainly a UFO but it did not look like anything i had ever seen before and cannot explain what it was.
I was in my back garden at about 8pm and just coming over the top of my house I saw a red round object, I could not tell you the size of it bit looked quite large, there were no flashing lights or noises coming from it at all . When it came over my house, it was only about 100 foot high so i got a good look at it. It was shiny red and perfectly round and was traveling quite fast (but not too fast) and traveling straight up into the sky towards the high clouds... i watched it for a second or two and called my husband out and by the time he saw it, it was nearing the clouds and just went straight through the clouds and disappeared.(bearing in mind that there were no low clouds that night, the clouds were very, very high in the sky)

The second time we saw another one was about 45 minutes later and we were both out in the driveway and coming from a completely different direction, we saw it again but this time it was traveling straight across the sky (rather that going straight up into the clouds) and this one was shiny silver and traveling at the same speed as the one we saw previous. Again, no flashing lights or noises. We tried to film it but lost it when it disappeared out of sight behind a huge tree and didn't see it again after that.

I just want to know if anyone else saw anything that night or any ideas of what they may have been....????

TV/Radio: I did listen to Radio Jacqui for a while after that but no mention of it but don't know if anything was mentioned after i turned the radio off.

UFOINFO Note: As with other similar reports I asked the witness to have a look at the UFO Balloons website to see if this is what might have been seen and received the following reply:

Dear John,

Many thanks for the email that you sent me....

I have had a look at the link of the UFO balloons and I am sure that they are not what I saw, they looked completely different to what I saw. I do not know what they were neither does my husband and my husband does not believe in UFO's and even he was speechless to what they were.

I guess we will never know?

Anyway many thanks and keep up the good work on this website, I am a big fan of this site, I am always on it and have been for the last 2 years.!

Take care.
