3 Orange Lights Changing Directions Over Rosyth Scotland

Date:  November of 2010
Date:  Evening.

I live in Rosyth and in November of 2010 I saw 3 orange lights moving very strangely in the sky above Ridley Drive/Thompson place.

I was with an ex-girlfriend at the time and we both watched in amazement as they changed course at a whim, moving at right angles then stopped perfectly still then vanished.

My first thought was "Chinese Lanterns", but after seeing how they moved at speed and changed direction I quickly dismissed this. We do have a Naval dockyard nearby.

If anybody has any more info I'd love to hear it. Thanks.

Hi there, I just seen your blog about the same thing just moments ago. I live in Glasgow and it was not a firework. There were two big orange lights going in different directions.

Bright Lights Flew In Different Directions And Stopping Over Severn Road Pill Bristol UK

Date:  June 4, 2011
Time:  Around midnight.

Dear Brian, on Friday the 3rd / Saturday the 4th of June around midnight I was outside a house in Severn Road, Pill, I looked up at the sky (facing in a South-Westerly direction) and saw what I thought was 2 shooting stars, both heading in opposite directions towards each other. When the two bright lights approached each other they did not touch, but both got flung in different directions and gradually decelerated before coming to a stop.

The lights were bright white and after doing a bit of research I believe I may have seen ball lightning. Both the balls had a very strong attraction at first as they were travelling really fast, but then both just completely stopped. I reckon that as the balls got close to each other perhaps one transferred its charge to the other and both neutralized, causing them to no longer be attracted to each other. I know these were definitely not Chinese lanterns or man-made
craft due to the way they moved across the sky and I'm convinced that what I saw was real.

I've been keeping an eye out for similar sightings as I reckon that perhaps the ash in the atmosphere might be causing an increase in weird atmospheric conditions like these. Even though it was a clear night on Friday night and ball lightning is usually caused by thunderstorms, I also read that (in theory) they can also be caused by ash in the atmosphere.

Unfortunately I did not take any footage of what I saw, it all happened very quickly and the two lights became stationary, and then just looked like a couple of ordinary stars in the sky. I wish now that I'd continued to look at these 2 objects for any more activity, I feel foolish for not observing them for longer. The significance of what I saw did not occur to me until the following day!

Hope this information is useful to you. Best regards.

Orange Objects Change Directions Over Holywood Northern Ireland

Date: October 23, 2010
Time: 8:30 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Holywood.
Number of witnesses: 2
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Appeared round with constant luminosity.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was having a look around the sky as it was relatively cloudless, when I noticed an orange orb which appeared to be at a fairly high altitude coming out of the west and heading east. When almost overhead it abruptly changed direction heading in a southerly direction before dimming and eventually disappearing. First instincts were that it was a satellite, but the track was unusual and the colour didn't fit.

About 10 minutes later another (or could have been the same thing) orange orb came out of the west, approached nearly overhead, made a sharp 180 turn and travelled back into the west before disappearing from view. The luminosity seemed to be pulsating this time, although there were not any sign of aircraft strobe lights. At no time was any sound heard.

Could I also say that when first noticed it, it was coming from a region of the sky which is not far from Belfast International Airport. If at all possible could you let me know if any other reports have been registered and what was if there was an explanation outcome. Thanks.
