Red Orange Object Observed Over Porth Newquay Cornwall UK

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was in the back garden that night stargazing with my telescope. I had been in and out the house to warm up as it was getting frosty, but as the sky was so clear. I decided to wrap up properly and enjoy the view.

 

At about 1:30 a.m. in the corner of my eye, I caught a orange red object. I tried to zoom in with the telescope, but I was shaking to much, so I got the camera and took these pictures. I didn’t know what to do. i

 

I wanted to wake everyone up, but I didn’t want to loose sight of it. From where I live, it looked as if it was hovering over the sea near Porth Hadland, then it disappeared towards east over Newquay airport.

Four Orange Lights Over Truro Cornwall UK

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was walking home from work (work as a nurse) along the A390 from Treliske Hospital towards Truro itself. Flying in a north-south direction, I noticed at first three orange lights in the sky.

The first light stayed flying in straight line, the following two lights seemed to fly around each other before flying away from each other, but both objects appeared to be mirroring each other keeping the same distance from the first light.

As I watched, a forth orange light came from the same direction and followed the same path as the first, disappearing over the roofs of near-by houses. The orange lights remained bold constantly (no flashing lights like planes or copters would have for navigation lights) and they made no sound.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I sat watching TV when a bright orange light came across the front window. I got up and knew straight away it wasn't a plane or helicopter, as I live on the flight path under the airport. I got my phone and began filming through the window, then I ran after it into the street while zooming in. The film caught the sphere and can be visible for about 20 seconds. I can't have been the only one to see it as cars were going past as I was filming.

Huge Orange Ball Over Crackington Haven Cornwall UK

Time: 10:50 p.m.

There was six of us in our car travelling to The Coombe Barton Pub in Crackington Haven Cornwall, UK, last night and we saw a huge orange ball travelling across the sky. I stopped the car and we just watched it. It was quite big even though it looked a way off and it came from west to east and it was bright orange with no visible trails of any colour behind it. The night was deathly quiet and there was no noise whatsoever for the duration of about 5 minutes where we just sat and watched it.

It travelled across the sky in a straight line at speed and then changed direction and veered right and disappeared into the distance. We thought it was a meteorite at first but it seemed to travel in a controlled manner which would rule out a shooting star or meteorite! We also thought of a private or military aircraft, but there was no sound at all even after the globe disappeared. Can't even come close to a rational explanation to this and there is nothing in the media about it yet?

Bright Lights Over Callington Cornwall UK

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Hi, I'm (name removed) and I am 15 years old. I live in Callington Cornwall and at 1:00m on the January 1, 2010 I woke up because my dog was growling. I looked out my window and saw 3 bright lights in the sky slowly moving, then they stopped. I went to get my parents and they looked at the object and were worried about it.

At 6:30am the object had disappeared, so I felt relieved. At 5:49pm it re-appeared in the same spot, so I think it just went into camouflage mode, but it still hasn't moved and it is now 9:13pm and the object has moved about 5-6 centimeters away from it's original spot. When my mom had a look at it again at 6:41pm there were about 7 more light around it, in a trapezium shape. I am wondering do you have any idea if it is or isn't a UFO. Thank you for reading this.

Orange Lights Seen From Kit Hill Callington Cornwall UK

Hello Brian, I didn't know you existed until I tried to find out what it was I had seen on 1/1/2010, no disrespect intended.

My wife and I went to the top of Kit Hill on New Year's eve. We just made it and got out of the car with the dogs as Big Ben was striking on Classic FM. We stood under the monument and faced south so we could view the fireworks, especially hoping to see something special from the Hoe. At about five past 12 we saw the first orange/red light. It came from east Plymouth direction passing along the north of Plymouth, Saltash and Liskeard. It headed towards St Austell and the light gradually disappeared. At first we thought it might be an aircraft but the light was continuous, it was also too big for a wing light.

Also, there was no sound. It was an unusual night on Kit Hill because although cold, the sky was almost cloud-free, the moon was full (or thereabouts), and there was very little breeze. Even though the air was close to still and we were away from ambient sounds the object made no noise. The light itself got slightly brighter and larger as it got closer to us and although there seemed to be some variation, this was probably due to ambient firework lights. There was no flickering as such. The odd thing was not just the absence of noise, but that in spite of there being very good visibility we could not make out any kind of superstructure.

From when we first saw it, to when it faded towards St Austell was about 3 minutes. It could not have been carried along with the wind. It was clearly travelling purposefully. About a minute after the light disappeared another could be seen, in fact we saw another three until we left at about 12:25. The description above applied exactly to the other three we saw. The only difference was that instead of travelling towards the St Austell area, the three went just to the south of Callington, over Bodmin Moor and towards a Newquay direction. We therefore had a slightly closer view, not that this seems to have helped identify what they were. While Newquay is a very rough approximation of the objects' direction, I have flown the Plymouth, Newquay, Gatwick flight many times.

It was all very odd, whatever these objects were, they were on a determined course at a consistent speed. As for view, we were likely in the best possible location to see these objects.

We have never seen anything like this before, and I hasten to add, we celebrated New Year after we returned home.

Bright Orange Silent Lights Over Bude NE Cornwall UK (Photos)

Hi Brian, we just came across your page after Googling the above subject, following what we have just seen over NE Cornwall (Bude). My friend called me to come and look at something as she was feeding the cats outside and what we saw was similar to what you describe .

First one orange light, bright, silent moving quite fast, but difficult to judge the height of. It moved quickly towards us and across the sky before moving upwards. Shortly behind it came another one some distance behind, but moving very quickly as if to catch up, and as it approached the other, it slowed down before moving upwards a short distance behind the other and slowly out of sight.

I was lucky that my camera was nearby, but I was able to capture distant lights, some of the two. The photos do not reflect the reality and closeness of what we saw. When I have looked at them closer on my large screens I will let you know. I was wondering if you had found any explanation or heard of any similar reports ? Look forward to hearing from you.

Cornwall, UK A Bright Venus Like Light

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Me and my mother were in our backyard when I spotted a very bright Venus like light moving in an east/west direction, (towards Dartmoor.) The sky was clear and there were no other stars visible at that time. It was flying relatively low in comparison to a plane and it wasn't hanging around either. Neither me or her have a clue as to what it might possibly be. Whatever it was I have never seen anything shine so brightly in the daylight sky as this. When I ran indoors to grab my binoculars the object was almost out of focus.

Helston Cornwall, UK Lights Appeared To Be Joined Together

Full Description of event/sighting: Looking NNW I could see what first appeared to be a bright star with a single light. After a while I noticed the light changing colour, this caught my attention. I took a reference from a constellation of stars, I knew it couldn't be a object on the ground or on the hillside in the distance. I then went to get my binoculars to take a closer look. Five minutes had past, I noticed the light had not moved relative to the constellation. When I looked through the binoculars I noticed there were three separate white lights joined horizontally, each light distinctive in brightness. The lights seemed to emit a brighter light from its center at irregular intervals changing colour. I observed the lights for 3-4 minutes longer before it disappeared.

Cornwall (Near Helston) UK Orange Spheres

Full Description of event/sighting: I was looking out through my window when I saw three orange spheres in a triangle formation that I thought was a firework at first. This formation then proceeded to come towards my house and was absolutely silent. I ran out to my garden in time to see the three spheres pass over and disappear, still silently.

Mounts Bay, Penzance, Cornwall U.K. A Ball Of Colored Light

Weather Conditions: Clear still night, no cloud.

Description: Noticed a bright point of light through the window above roof level. Went outside and noticed there were two lights. Both where white with a red centre, moving slowly across the bay about two miles from my house, with no sound at all. Both lights then came towards each other until they were both at the same height, then stopped still at the exact same height in the sky for 2-3 min. Both lights then moved off towards Marazion whilst rising in altitude, both lights faded in brightness and vanished as though fading out.

We have a heliport but it does not operate at this time and the silence of the lights means it was not an aircraft. This time of night is quiet and so means you could hear an aircraft engine for miles.

TV/Radio: Nothing at present.
