Object/UFO Makes 180 Degree Turn Then Speeds Off Seen Over Hungerford England UK

Date:  Summer 1975
Time:  Evening.

Hello Brian, I saw your site about UFO sightings in the UK. I was living in Hungerford, England in 1975 when I noticed a moving object the size of a star in the Summer night sky.

At first I thought it was a plane, until it made a complete 180-degree turn and sped off at high speed.

At first I assumed it was some kind of high tech satellite, but now wonder if it was a UFO. For years I've tried to find information if others saw anything like this in that area.

My US husband was serviced at an Airforce base in that region until we came back to the States the following year.

If anyone has had a UFO/UFOs sighting, please send me an email at sighting@telus.net or fill out the online UFO report form at http://sightings1.yolasite.com/ with details of what you saw.

Please remember to include the date and time and location. (Town/City – State or Province) and as much detail as possible.

Vike Factor Note: I do receive sighting reports from all over the world, and I post all of the reports I receive here: http://the-v-factor-paranormal.blogspot.com/

Bright Orange Fireball With Tail Makes A Sharpe Turn Over Melbourne Australia

Date: 2001
Time: 6:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 2 (including me).
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Circular with a long tail.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: About 10 years ago, my mother arrived at my grandparents’ house to routinely pick me up after school. I was 16 at the time and it was late afternoon, just before dusk on what was an unusually clear and sunny spring day.

I was in the passenger seat of my mother’s car when she performed a U-turn on my grandparents' quiet street at which point, the front of the car was aligned perfectly to the north. I happened to glance up towards the top half of the windscreen, admiring the bluish-yellow hue of the sky.

As I shifted my glance to the east, I witnessed a bright orange fireball, which appeared to be flying at a fairly high altitude. It had a distinctly long, orange tail which emitted wispy clouds of very thin yet acrid looking black smoke. The object was traveling slowly along horizontal plane (from east to west).

The slow speed seemed unusual to me, but I initially dismissed it as a very bright meteorite travelling at extraordinary altitude. Suddenly, it began to change trajectory, slowly descending along the vertical. This occurred about 5-6 seconds after I had initially spotted it. At this point, I figured that it must have been a doomed aircraft which had suffered a catastrophic failure of some kind.

I exclaimed and pointed it out to my mother, who instantly slowed down to a stop, glanced up and also spotted it. The object then commenced an unbelievably tight loop, dramatically accelerating in the process. After completing this first loop, it subsequently performed another (just as tight as the last), still accelerating, yet traveling at an ungodly rate of speed.

No manned object could possibly withstand even a fraction of those G’s! Once it completed this last loop, it slingshot towards the east in an upward and traverse trajectory, gradually fading into the blue of the atmosphere. The whole incident felt like it lasted an eternity, but in reality, the duration was no longer than 10-15 seconds.

Needless to say, I couldn’t believe what I had seen, so much so, that I after I had regained my prior composure, I asked my mother to describe her account of the incident. If she wasn’t there to concur, I probably would have dismissed it as imaginary. Prior to witnessing this event, I was an avid aircraft aficionado (in fact, I still am).

Since then, I have subsequently studied aerospace engineering, yet I’m still scratching my head on this one. By analyzing the scenario, I managed to derive some additional attributes of the object. Since it faded into the atmosphere, it must have been flying at the absolute fringe of space. Also, considering that it was clearly visible at that particular altitude and angle of elevation, it must have been huge.

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

South Oxhey Hertfordshire, England Four Orange Lights Turned Red

Posted: February 10, 2008

Date: September 15, 2007 Time: 9:00 p.m.

Approach Direction: S/W Departure Direction: N/E Witness Direction: South.

Description: Looked into the sky to see what I thought was a whole constellation moving! Four orange looking lights that became red when approaching were moving in sequence. No way was it aircraft as I am 17 miles from Heathrow, and this was not on any flight path and they were way to close together. All aircraft around here have a five mile separation.

Color/Shape: Orange, changing to red then just disappearing just like a satellite that moves out of the light does.

Height & Speed: Slow moving, height unable to say I would estimate about 5 miles away from me at approx 6-8000ft altitude.

Sydney, Australia Bright Light Makes Sharp Turn

Posted: January 11, 2008

Date: August 6, 2005 Time: Approx: 7.57 p.m.

Message: Tonight, 6 Aug 2005, at approx 7.57 pm in Sydney Australia, there was a single brilliant reddish/orange light approx 80 degrees (almost vertical) from horizontal in a rough east-north-east bearing. Initially this light looked like a bright planet, but it became apparent that it was way too bright to be any planet. It's distance also visually equated a planet's, eg Mars, though it was slightly larger than Mars' appearance. The light was extremely bright, and initially I thought I could be witnessing a comet burning-up in the atmosphere though there appeared to be no movement.

I got my flat-mate who saw it and remarked "it looks like it's moving". And yes, it did actually appear to be moving, though very slowly. It headed eastwards down from vertical and in a visual sense passed a star (I used as a marker) on its left and proceeded eastwards, though all the time very slowly. At this point in time it appeared to vary it's glow, sometimes fading quite a bit then re-ignighting the brightness to very bright. There was no pattern to this variance, unlike any aircraft.

Then as I watched, the object turned sharply (though still slowly) and headed north, and I called a friend. As my friend answered I told him to go outside and have a look at this object, but told him to hurry-up as at this moment the object appeared to be fading in brightness (very dynamic fading) but also in size. By the time he exited his premises the object was so faint and small, that I finally lost it - it appeared as if it moved further away until it disappeared into the distance. My friend did not get to see it.

Its pattern of movement was as follows:

This movement was observed over a 3-5 minute period at an estimate.

It was witnessed by my flat-mate, but my friend who I called did not get a chance to see it before it disappeared.

Thank you to the witness for the report.
