40 Plus Bright Lights Over South Manchester UK

Full Description of Event/Sighting: We live about ½ mile from the main runway at Manchester Ringway so are used (very used) to low flying aircraft of all types. Depending on wind direction the aircraft are landing or taking off.

At about 12:00am on the 01 January 2011 I was in my garden facing south, watching neighbours fireworks for New Year, when I started to see bright lights in the sky to the northwest, heading southeast. They appeared to be at different altitudes, but all on a straight heading.

Their speed was faster than normal aircraft and seemed constant. The coarse they took was at a 90 degree angle to the normal flight path to MIA. The aircraft were in the landing pattern at the time and I would think pilots saw these lights

They seemed to come in waves, sometimes only 2, but others 5 or 6. A couple of them were very bright and seemed bigger than the others. They can’t have been that high in the sky as there was a high cloud cover.

My partner said she saw them from before midnight, but was not sure how long before. At about 12:40, two came from the north-northeast but headed southeast.

We have an attic room with Velux windows so I grabbed my camera and took the enclosed photos, as it was low light I had to use long exposure so you can see the moving object as streaks.

They seemed to come in waves, sometimes only 2, but others 5 or 6. A couple of them were very bright and seemed bigger than the others. They can’t have been that high in the sky as there was a high cloud cover.

100 Plus Round Orange Lights Seen Over London UK (Excellent Video Footage)

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Hi Brian, me and my wife have witnessed what we would call a UFO sighting over London last night (9 July 2010), just thought you would be interested.

It happened approximately between 10:30pm and 11:00pm, there were loads of them (maybe about a hundred in total or more) coming from southwest flying over London and disappearing to the northeast for about 30mn in total.

They looked like orange lights flying fast and high, we thought it could be balloons or Chinese lanterns, but there wasn't a strong wind that night to explain their speed and directions: They seemed to go high first on the South West, some looking like dancing with each other, and then crossing straight over London to the northeast at fast speed.

We caught it on camcorder and have still to process it, let us know if you would be interested in seeing the video.

I suppose we will know more about this today in the news, as we are probably not the only ones to have witnessed that.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: A number of bright yellow/orange lights 2 or three closely together in the same direction at apparently the same height followed by groups of two or three at regular intervals. There didn't appear to be any sound associated with the lights.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: strange round shaped lights moving very fast in different directions all orange coloured, but always in groups of 3 or more we couldn't believe what we were seeing, the objects were going in various directions north and south travels to high for helicopters and making no noise.

30 Plus Round Orange Lights Over Walsall West Midlands UK (New Year)

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Staring out the window just after midnight when my family and I noticed two strange lights flying in sky in a straight line. Weird as this would have been way to dangerous for a normal aircraft! After watching them amazed, we noticed even more lights coming from the West all the while travelling to the East. No light was alone, always within a group flying at the same speed with no noise being generated.

Looked on net and found that these strange lights are spotted alot, weirdly enough on new years eve 2008 and all!

Also, on December 27th I was in kitchen and noticed the same orange light in the sky, going way to fast for an aeroplane, however, thought nothing of it and forgot about it until I just spotted the vast amount that we have seen!

Would be great if you could shed some info on these lights, do you know what they are?

Chigwell Essex, UK 100 Plus Bright Orange Objects

Shape of objects: Round.

Full Description of event/sighting: A number of bright orange circles ascending similar paths, all headed right to left, covering approx 120 degrees of sky, some accelerating some decelerating, some in formation, some slowing and waiting for others to complete formation. Numbers ascending; ones, twos, threes to eights. 10 sec to 30 sec gaps before next group. More and more of us watching in amazement as the count went from 20 to approx 130 before it stopped. As this all happened within the stacking circle of planes to Stanstead, this must have also been witnessed by many pilots. Clear sky; planes distinguishable because of navigational lights, circular motion, and obviously engine noise. Orange objects in groups, travelling in same direction and silent.

Lawrence Weston Bristol UK 20 Plus Red Lights

Full Description of event/sighting: Sat in the garden on Saturday night with friends (about 9 of us) not all had been drinking. It was a lovely clear sky lots of stars and spotted a red light that we thought was the police helicopter then noticed that there was two which was really strange. Then spotted more lights and they just kept coming across the sky from the Portway area and then they headed off across towards Stoke Bishop way. There was no engine noises and all of a sudden they stopped coming and disappeared over toward Stoke Bishop whether there was a cloud that way and they went into it!

A airplane went by shortly after and we heard that engine no problem this took about 5 - 8 mins to happen.

Normandy, Surrey England 20 Plus UFOs

Shape of objects: Orb.
Weather Conditions: good conditions, little bit of cloud in the sky.

Description: I was driving to Guildford to pick up my brother from Guildford. Pretty much as soon as i turned out of my driveway I could see loads of orange orb like lights in the sky in front of me. I pulled over so I could get a better look. There were at least 20 of them and they were moving slowly in a long straight line. As they moved across the sky one by one they started to disappear into nothing at basically the same spot. pretty much as soon as I pulled
over a phoned my mum and told her to come outside quickly and have a look, she did and she was absolutely gob smacked as well. We tried to come up with some logical explanations but none of them added up to what we saw. I just want to know if there is an explanation to what we saw or if there is a possibility that this sighting was a UFO. Thanks very much for your time.

PS - I have made a picture of what I saw to give you a better idea, so if you would like me to send that then please let me know.

TV/Radio: No as I only saw them a few hours ago.
