Orange Light Over A71 To Whitburn UK

Time: 2:45 a.m.

Hi, I was heading to work this morning 21/10/2010 at 2.45am, I travel along the A71 to Whitburn from the west, as I went past the mines to the west of Briech I saw an orange light in the sky towards the airport (maybe over it it's hard to judge the distance) Anyway I thought to myself I don't normally see a plane landing at this time ( you get to notice planes at the same time every day) and it was brighter and the light was larger than a planes landing lights.

So I watched this object looking for a red or blue light too, but there was definitely none.

I watched this all along the road until the traffic lights at Briech and it didn't move at all which would be unusual if it was an aircraft. I couldn't see it again until I got to the lights at Whitburn because of houses etc. But when I got there it still was in the same place, I then arrived at work and managed to sneak out about ten minutes later and it was still there, not appearing to have moved.

PS - I was looking for the Hartley comet too last night/early this morn, but couldn't see any stars because of a light cloud cover so stars are ruled out.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Strange orange fiery sphere flew across the sky s/e direction no noise moving quite fast.duration approx 90 seconds.

Orange Fiery Lights Over Whitburn West Lothian UK

Time: Approx: Between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Whitburn, West Lothian.
Number of witnesses: 3
Number of Objects: 4
Shape of Objects: Bright orange ball shape.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Walking home from my wife's parents house on New Years Day with my wife and our 8 year old son when we spotted 2 orange fiery lights flying parallel to each other north to south.The strange colour first attracted our attention, but also the lack noise was puzzling. As they passed over us one of the lights turned left and moved off in a different direction. We then saw a third light a bit further off but travelling in the same direction as the first two. We watched them as we walked home until they disappeared from view. By the time we reached home (about 7 or 8 minutes later) we saw a forth light once again travelling in the same direction as the previous 3.

We have no idea what we saw, but I am certain that the strange lights we saw was not an airplane as the lack of any noise would discount this. I decided to check the internet and found that many people all over the country had similar sightings. I felt we had to include ours.
