Orange Lights Over Eston Hills UK

Date:  April 18, 2011
Time:  Approx: 9:10 p.m.

Hi Brian, I wonder if you can help me with something I saw last night on Eston Hills. I would like to give you some background information first. I live in London and am a part time care giver for my elderly Mother. I have visited her regularly, since losing my Father, for the last 5 years.

I'm tee-total and don't take drugs ! My mum lives on Tennyson Ave which may help lend scale to what I saw.

I'm a smoker and stand outside her kitchen door to smoke. From here I have a clear view of the hills.

I must of stood in this place hundreds of times over the years and the only thing to look at is the hills. I have seen strange lights on the hills before but nothing like what I saw last night. Last night at around 21:00  (I was on the phone to a friend at the time so I was able to check the time afterwards - it was probably nearer 21:10 as I was near the end of the call, but this can be investigated further) I saw three huge white lights sitting at the very top of the hills, in front of the masts.

Having taken this view in so many times I can say with certainty that they were at least half the size of the masts and very very bright. They were motionless and then went off. I then noticed two bright orange lights further down the hills.

One on the left and one to the right. They too were very big and motionless. The lights at the top of the hills came back on and the two orange lights moved up the hills at great speed towards the summit. The lights at the top went off again and the orange lights shot up at great speed, in a straight line.

I followed the orange light to the left of my vision which then shot forward and flew overhead. I was so busy watching this light that I think, but cannot say with a 100% certainty, that the three lights at the top of the hills came on again. I cannot say what happened to the light on my right as i was concentrating on the left hand light.

The three lights at the top of the hills then seemed to move to the right as if turning then disappeared. The light on my left moved so quickly overhead that I am sure it was not a lantern and it was big. I would say it's shape was round, but it happened so quickly I cannot be sure. It was all in the space of a few minutes.

I have a passing interest in ufology and am aware of the Chinese lantern theory. These things were big and moved in straight lines and were fast. They were overhead in seconds. No lantern can travel that fast ! The sheer size of the three lights at the top of the hills convince me that this was something out of the ordinary.

I would appreciate any feedback you could give as all my friends think I saw a lantern, if it weren't for the three lights at the top of the I hills would begrudgingly accept that as what I saw. Feel free to ask me any further questions, I will try to answer them to the best of my ability, but it happened so quickly.

Three Massive White Lights Over Eston Hills Grangetown UK

Date:  April 19, 2011
Time:  Approx: 10:00 p.m.

Hi Brian, I wonder if you can shed any light on what I saw last night at about 10.00 p.m.

It all happened so quickly. I am a care giver for my mum and live in London, but visit Grangetown regularly to attend to her. I have a smoke outside the kitchen door (tobacco only and I’m tee total !) where I have a clear view of Eston Hills.

My mum lives on Tennyson Ave which can give you an idea of the distance from the hills.

At first I saw three massive white, round lights which shone very brightly and seemed to be sitting in front of the masts, which sit at the very top of the hills. They didn’t move. They were absolutely massive. I’ve taken this view in many times over the years and I can say without a doubt that they were at least half the size, if not bigger, of the masts.

It happened so quickly that it is difficult to expand on the size, but they were big and so bright. I then noticed two orange lights, further down the hills. One to the left and one to the right. They were motionless for a while then moved up the hills at high speed.

They were so quick and big I do not believe they were lanterns, and they moved in a straight line. I was so taken aback by this that I think, but cannot be a 100% sure that the three lights at the top of the hill came on again. The two orange lights then shot up into the air and I followed the one to the left which came forward and seemed to fly overhead.

I don’t know what happened to the one on the right of my vision, as I was following the light on the left. The three lights on the hills then came on again and seemed to move as if turning to the right and disappeared.

As I mentioned I do not drink and do not take drugs. I was 100% sober when I saw this. It all happened in maybe three minutes, if that. It was the sheer size of these things that convinces me it was something out of the ordinary.

I would appreciate your feedback and whether anyone else saw this. feel free to ask me any questions, but as I say it all happened so quickly. Thanks.

Orange Lights Over Eston Hills Middlesbrough UK

Date: July 9, 2010
Time: 10:30 p.m.

Hi, regarding the article you posted about orange lights over Eston Hills, Middlesbrough. We have been seeing the exact same lights at nearly exact same time on several occasions. Tonight (9/7/2010 22.30hrs), we saw the orange light heading quite fast towards Redcar area then disappeared. 15 minutes later we saw another coming from over Eston Hills, very fast followed by another one going same speed, then simply disappearing into nothing!.

I am an expert on aircraft, and I can assure you it was no aircraft, made no sound and I'm convinced it is not Chinese lanterns that everybody says it is. I wonder how many people have same sightings?
Regards.

Fast Moving Large Orange/Red Lights Over Eston, Middlesbrough UK

Date: May 15, 2010
Time: Approx: 10.30 p.m.

I was sitting out with my cousin in her back garden. We were looking at the clear night sky, watching the stars come out when we saw a large orange/red light to speed east to west. It originated to the left of the house and moved incredibly fast and very linear. The flight path was a steady and completely straight line.

This was followed by another ten minutes later, originating, to the right of the house, again travelling at the same speed and in the same direction but this one turned and once it flew overhead, as if to fly back towards us. They definitely weren't aeroplanes as we did see a plane later fly south to north with a red pulsing landing light.

My cousin's husband saw the first and agreed it looked nothing like a plane as it was a circular glowing light and going far too fast. I thought it could be a comet or meteorite, but when the second one came ten minutes later, that seemed a bit too coincidental. My nephew suggested Chinese lanterns, but would they fly in a straight line across the sky at such speed? I am investing in a telescope to look more closely at the night sky as am totally hooked now.

Eston Bank, Middlesborough, North Yorkshire, England Cigar Shaped UFO

Posted: November 11, 2008

Date: 1981/1983
Time: 3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 1
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Cigar, cylindrical.
Weather Conditions: Good.

Description: Hi, this sighting was in the early 80's when I was 20/21 and this is the 1st & only time I have shared this info;

The sighting was on a clear Saturday late afternoon over Eston hills, Teesside, with a clear sky the cylindrical shaped hovered over/around the top of Eston Bank overlooking the Tees valley moving slowly, it then darted across towards Nunthorpe 3-4 miles away, still overlooking Teesside, after a wile it continued to move in the same direction to what appeared to be over Yarm, a further 10 miles away. From my vantage point which was Pinchinthorpe nr Guisborough ( for those who know the area ) I had a perfect panoramic view of its movements, and knowing the area well I was able to gauge its relative distance & speed, this was clearly something unique and could cover 10 miles in 8 seconds ish, then change direction instantly or hover.

Afterwards it veered off relatively slowly, away and up from my view point at about 30 degrees and north east until it hit clouds. That's it. I did look in the local paper & listened on local radio at the time but found no other reports, maybe someone can add to this sighting ??

Thank you to UFOINFO for this report. http://www.ufoinfo.com/
