Ball Shaped Object Emitting Colours At Avoca In Arklow County Wicklow Ireland

Date:  May 1, 2011
Time:  10:25 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 4
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: 1

Full Description of Event/Sighting: We were sitting by the river Avoca in Arklow, County Wicklow. Looking north we noticed a speeding object on the low horizon tracking (northeast to southeast).

It seemed to be emitting colours, but they were near impossible to distinguish. The ball shape also seemed to rotate on itself and kept stopping to a standstill, but again it seemed hard to tell if it was stopping or zig zagging.

The object constantly emitted a very bright white light with afore mentioned colours inside it? It kept its altitude at all times, but then disappeared.

There was little to no cloud in the area. I have Googled reports online and it seems similar was seen in Scotland, Liverpool and Kent within one hour of what we saw in Ireland.

I have never filled in anything like this before as I have never seen anything like this before. I am a keen astronomer and it was neither a sat, fireball, conventional aircraft.

Bright Single Coloured Light Over Arklow County Wicklow Ireland

Date:  May 1, 2011
Time:  10:30 p.m.

Dear Sirs, last night at 10:30 p.m. (Saturday May 1st)  both myself and 3 friends were parked in Arklow by the river Avoca facing north when we saw what looked like a large low flying craft.

I have just read of similar sightings in other area's of the UK and Ireland around the same time. It was not a Chinese lantern or prank. Too fast in a straight line with milli second stops.

It was too hard to gauge the distance, but it’s speeds and the way the lighting changed colour so quickly you could not distinguish what the colours were.

Even more unbelievable was the fact that it seemed to stop and speed off faster than what the eye could see as an image. At the same time it looked as if the lighting or flashing colours were rotating on the craft.

Then it disappeared, there was little to know low cloud in the area at this time?

Brilliant White Flying Object Over Bray County Wicklow Ireland

Date:  June 22, 2011 and June 23, 2011
Time:  Approx: 11:30 p.m.
Hi, I would like to pass on the following account I have from a sighting I had last night 23/June/2011.

On Wednesday night I went out to the back garden for a ciggie at about 11:30. The sky was fairly clear could see plenty of stars etc., I looked up above myself and I could see a single white ball of light travelling from west to east.
I continued to observe it for a few moments and then called out my girlfriend to make sure I wasn't seeing things.
She came out and remarked at how odd it was. We also noted that there isn't a direct flight path for planes from Dublin airport over the house.
You can occasionally see some planes off in the far distance, but they are easily spotted due to the red and flashing beacon lights. This object just stayed solid brilliant white.

Then again last night I stepped outside for another ciggie at about 11:30. I was of course hoping to see something for a second night and I was in luck. From the south I spotted the exact same type if brilliant white light zipping across the sky at a remarkable pace.
I have never seen a plane in the far off distance cover this much ground so quickly. It vanished after about 1 minute as it had gone so high up into the sky it was literally impossible to see anymore.
About thirty seconds after I had lost sight of this, I spotted another object coming from the south over some houses and then arced off towards the west. This one wasn't moving very quickly, just slowly across the sky with an altitude that never changed.

No doubt you will have the skeptics saying Chinese lanterns etc., but to me I cannot and nor can my girlfriend figure out what the heck we have witnessed. She has witnessed these lights over the house on a couple of occasions when out for a ciggie.

I tried to take a photo last night, but my phone couldn't pick out the ball of light. Will try and use my Digital SLR tonight and maybe try pick up a telescope later today as I used some binoculars last night to try and get a better view of these balls of light.
Through the binoculars they are just that extremely brilliant white balls of light, sometimes looking almost bullet like through the binoculars.

Glowing Orange Objects Over Enniskerry Co Wicklow Ireland

Date: July 24, 2010
Time: 12:30 a.m.

Location of Sighting: Enniskerry, Co. Wicklow, Ireland.
Number of witnesses: 2
Number of Objects: 12 plus.
Shape of Objects: Glowing orange objects.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: My friend and I were on a walk when we looked up into the sky. Multiple, mobile, bright orange lights were moving to our left in the sky. The objects moved erratically and stopped, as if to wait for the other objects to catch up. Far too bright to be Chinese lanterns, they followed the same rough trajectory, moving up and down and to the side. The objects appeared to increase and decrease in brightness and size and occasionally would flash.
