7 Orange Lights Seen Around Weltevreden Park Johannesburg South Africa

Time:  Evening.

 

Hi, I stay around Weltevreden Park. On the evening of the 9th November 2011, I was travelling from N1 Highway into Beyers Naude Drive towards the west (Honeydew Direction) when we spotted five to seven orange lights up in the sky. They looked to be just hanging up there, shimmering in orange/goldish colour.

 

We stopped momentarily on the side of the road to have a look. Kindly advise if anyone reported such. The four or five seemed to be in curvy formation, but there was one behind them. Very eerie as there was no noise except cars passing by on Beyers Naude.

Two Sightings Balls Of Fames Over Radiokop Weltevreden Park South Africa

Hi Brian, I Googled the sighting I had last night and your details popped up. Last night there were two sightings in Radiokop/Weltevredenpark. They looked like small balls of flames, no noise just a burning light in the sky moving swiftly and then gone.

Three Flame Like Lights Over Weltevreden Park Johannesburg South Africa

Hi, I saw the lights in Weltevreden Park too. Three lights in the sky, a warm, flame colour. We watched and watched. One disappeared. The other two eventually lowered to the ground. We suspected candle lanterns for the warm glow.

Bright Orange Object Over Weltevreden Park Allen’s Nek Roodepoort Gauteng South Africa

Dear Brian, UFO SIGHTING


Weather: Clear sky.

My son and I saw a UFO (extremely similar if not identical to descriptions of two sightings on 1 January, 2011 over Four Ways, Johannesburg, as posted on “Vike Factor” of 3 January 2011) gliding or floating across the sky above our suburb, heading South-Westerly towards the Constantia Kloof/Florida area where it appeared to veer in a Southerly direction. It seemed to be at a fairly low altitude (5,000 meters ?) and maintained a relatively slow but steady speed.

At it’s apex above us, a bright-orange, flame-like glow was clearly visible underneath the object which, from our perspective, appeared round with a diameter of something between a ping-pong ball and a tennis ball.

After our line of sight to the object had reached approximately 45 degrees, the orange glow gradually disappeared, leaving the flat-oval dark silhouette of the object barely visible against a darkening sky. We lost sight as it curved into a Southerly heading. The object produced no sound.

Our sighting lasted for maybe one minute. We both concluded that the object was not an aeroplane, glider, balloon, helicopter or similar flying machine and it was way too dark already for it to have been a reflection of sunlight against the metal of a fuselage. It was most definitely also no shooting star or satellite, meteor.

This was our first such sighting. Not being a skeptic, my curiosity led me to ‘Google’ for other possible similar reported sightings around the same time. I came across many, with practically identical descriptions, from places around the world, between late November 2010 to early January 2011! What’s happening?
