Orange And Red Lights Over Braintree UK

Shape of Objects: Oblong.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Orange and red objects flying north to south. Some close together and no noise. Flying quite fast. No wind for it to be Chinese lanterns etc.

Braintree, Essex, England UK An Orange Raggedy Object With A Tail

Time: Approx: 8.45 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 6
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Round with tail.
Weather Conditions: Dry clear and dark.

Description: Around 8.45pm we noticed what we thought at first was an aircraft on fire. It moved steadily across the sky from north west to south east, then veered southwards. The light was orange and 'raggedy' around the edges, like a flame. There was a 'tail' behind the light too. No noise was heard at all, and no wings of aircraft were visible in the glow. The light continued off into the far distance until it disappeared from our sight. The sighting lasted for approximately 4 minutes. The item was not moving at speed but was steady, until the change of course when it did speed up a little. Anyone else see this at all? Any comments?
