Small Red Dot/Object In The Sky Over Melbourne Australia

Hello Brian, I have just been reading, or should I say looking to see if anyone saw anything in the night sky over Melbourne, Australia about 40 or so minutes after seeing the New Year in.

It was like a red dot, that appeared to stop start. It stopped pretty much overhead where I live and then just disappeared! It was in the sky a good few minutes!

A satellite perhaps, has anyone else seen it? I tried filming it on my phone, but it couldn't pick anything up .

Bournemouth Dorset, U.K. Small Dot Looking UFOs

Time: Approx: 10:00 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 2
Number of objects: 2
Shape of objects: Small dots about the size of a star.
Weather Conditions: Fine and clear.

Description: I was outside the house with my partner having a cigarette when I just happened to look up and see two objects moving at a speed just faster than a satellite or plane in a West to East direction. The lead object was white the rear object gold. (Exactly as described by the people at Osmington Mills)
It was difficult to judge height but if you can imagine holding your arm out and keeping your forefinger a centimeter away from your thumb this was the distance between the objects.
