Lights In The Sky Over Rutherglen Glasgow Scotland UK

Date: August 2009
Time: 4:00 a.m.

Hello my names (name removed), and my partners name is (name removed). We believe we have witnessed some UFO sightings.

We were both at his work in Rutherglen, around August last year, it's a industrial area with a lot of open space, this happened at 4:00am, we seen 3 lights in the sky, moving very slowly below and behind they lights were another 3 lights, again moving slowly.

It couldn't have been a plane, because the lights were to far apart to be on the same plane, they were separate objects. There were no red and blue lights near the lights (as planes always have) and usually, especially at that time with no noise in the area we couldn't hear anything, not even the slightest noise.

We kept watching them for about 2-5 minutes, then they started picking up speed and just flew along the sky.

Another experience I had was last month, when I was walking home, it was a reddish light, just sitting there in the sky. I kept watching it and a few minutes later the light just dimmed down and I lost sight of it.

My partner has just told me there just now, he has seen something else, he seen a red light hovering across the sky and just out of the blue, it changed direction. A plane would have to glide along to change direction, but this just changed right away.

Does this sound like UFOs to you? Have you heard anything similar to our sightings?

I would really love if you could get back to me.

Thank you so much for your time.

Bright Orange Red Object Over Greenisland County Antrim Northern Ireland

Date: September 26, 2010
Time: Approx: 9:33 p.m.

I seen similar object last night out the back of my house over Greenisland, County Antrim at approx: 9.33pm. It was a bright orange/red colored flame-like object moving at a steady speed with no sound or lights to suggest it was a plane and also defiantly not a lantern.

I watched it for about 30 seconds moving steadily along. I went into the house to get camera and came out front. The object was still there for a few seconds, but then sped off quickly into sky and disappeared. Very weird. I am normally skeptical about these type of things, but seeing is believing. Hope this helps. Thanks.

Hi Brian, I was in Kilkenny last night at 8:00pm and saw two orange lights travelling side by side for few minutes, eventually they stopped and one disappeared and the other stayed in sky for few minutes. What could it be? Thought it was helicopter or plane put down windows got out of car and nothing could be heard. Freaky. Regards.

Orange Ball Of Fire Seen Over Midway Swadlincote UK

Date: September 26, 2010
Time: Approx: 10:00 p.m.

My husband and I live in Midway, Swadlincote and last night sighted an orange ball of fire (or so the image appeared). It was just before 2200hrs on Sunday 26th September 2010. We observed it from our living room when a ball of orange fire swept past the window at silent speed.

I ran outside, but could not see it for the surrounding buildings, but running upstairs to look from a higher vantage point I could see it higher in the sky moving off into the distance.

Our only solution would be that it was a balloon falling very low and firing up to obtain some gravity, but we could not see the outline of a balloon.

Do you have any answers as we would love to know what we may have seen.

Five Or Six Lights In Formation Over Maryport From Cockermouth UK

Date: September 25, 2010
Time: Evening.

Hi, me and my partner saw exactly the same orange lights last night looking out to the coast of Maryport from Cockermouth last night, there were 5 or 6 lights in formation and it lasted for about a 1 minute. The objects then faded away one at a time. This certainly was not a firework, as they were travelling horizontally in the night sky.

Bright Orange Object Seen Over South Edinburgh Scotland

Date: September 28, 2010
Time: Approx: 9:30 p.m.

Hi, I saw a bright orange flame type object crossing the sky around 9:30pm on Sunday 28 September 2010. I viewed it from south Edinburgh, crossing in a north west direction. It was too fast to be a plane, but too slow to be a shooting star. I thought it was so strange I called my wife outside to take a look. I’d be interested to know if anyone else saw this? Regards.

Orange Light Over South London UK

Date: September 25, 2010
Time: Approx: 9:30 p.m.

I would like to add to the reports of "bright orange lights" over Wimbledon last night (25 September 2010) around 21.30. Approximately 4 of them heading in a southeast direction.

At first I saw two of them, but no sound and no flashing aircraft lights, just a bright orange glow travelling fairly fast until they disappeared into the high cloud. Moments after another heading in the same direction.

I then went out into the garden to see another as it flew over, orange at the front and from the rear. Again no noise and moving much faster than aircraft. I did think they were possibly military jets, but the orange glow was coming from the front and rear as they went past, but silent.

Nine Lights Over Kirkham Between Blackpool And Preston Lancashire UK

Date: September 21, 2010
Time: Approx: 8:10 p.m.

Dear Brian, I have just Googled UFOs sighted last night. I'd like to tell you about my sighting.

I live at Kirkham, between Blackpool and Preston Lancashire. Last night (Tuesday) at about 10 past eight, my husband and I were out for our evening stroll. It was a dark cloudless evening. We were walking south down a country lane, when in the sky in front of us we noticed what appeared to be a bright light. For a second or two we watched it, thinking it was a plane, although not on a usual flight path.

As it approached, it was silent, no noise what so ever, then in the distance a second light appeared. The first one pasted by heading north, followed by the second. In total we think we counted nine, in five to ten minutes. All nine travelled from south to north in a straight line evenly spaced. They appeared just the same as you described your sighting. Regards.

Bright Reddish Glowing Light Over Sudbury Suffolk UK

Date: September 21, 2010
Time: Approx: 8:00 p.m.

Hello, just after 8:00pm tonight I was walking along a street in Sudbury, Suffolk to meet a friend after a class and noticed a bright reddish glowing light moving in the sky. I was with two other people coming out of the class at the time, one of whom commented on the 'red star'. We just assumed it was an aeroplane, but then thought it odd that nothing was flashing, there was just the one constant light coming from this object.

Then, a second one followed behind it, identical. I parted from the people I was with at that point and continued on my way alone, only to be amazed to see coming up from my left another orangey-red glow, and then another, and then another, and another each one perfectly identical, all evenly spaced out and moving quite fast (at least I assume from their possible altitude, as they didn't look like they could be that close) all in the same direction in a line, silently.

I couldn't believe what I was seeing, it just looked so odd to see this line of lights moving above me and I couldn't explain them. I ran to my friend's house so he could see them too while they were still in the sky, we both stood outside and stared up amazed. We tried to focus on one and it seemed to be like a glowing orb. It reminded me of an elongated hot-air balloon, sort of globular above and pinky-red, with a more intense orangey glow at the bottom.

We looked towards the direction that they were heading but the ones that I had first seen had already disappeared. I'm not sure how many I had witnessed altogether, possibly about 7 or 8 (wish I'd counted!). It was brilliant to see something so weird, so when I got back home tonight I Googled straight away and found your site. And so it seems this is not the first time glowing orange discs have been seen over Sudbury!

I know people talk about weather balloons being mistaken as UFOs, but I don't know what they look like so I don't know if these could be such a thing, and I realize that they may well turn out to be something a lot less interesting than something extra-terrestrial. But they were beautiful, I'm glad I saw them, and I would love to know more - one way or another.

Best wishes.

Orange Light Outside Bexley Kent England UK

Date: September 21, 2010
Time: Evening.

Hi, I live just outside Bexley Kent England. I have just read a piece that was written about an orange light sighting. I am astounded. I was sitting in my front room last night, I do not draw my blinds unless really cold. I all of a sudden noticed an orange light in the sky. It was so bright.

I watched it for a few seconds and then asked my husband to look out the front door to see if it was still there. He said he saw it moving very fast and then nothing. I also thought it was a lantern, but it was moving too quick and it was so orange. What was it?

Two Orange Balls Over Bromley UK

Date: September 18, 2010
Time: Approx: 9:00 - 9:30 p.m.

Last night (18th September 2010) at about 9:00 -9:30ish I witnessed two orange balls passing over my house in Bromley, just as you describe them. At first I thought it was a balloon, then I thought it was a plane on fire! I rushed outside and the first one travelled from south to northeast and then about 10 minutes later, another did exactly the same. There was no sound though it was fairly low in the sky.

After the second I got my binoculars and camera ready but there were no more.

Very strange. Any further thoughts.

Bright Orange Light Or Flame Over Newquay United Kingdom

Date: September 19, 2010
Time: 9:30 p.m.

My wife and I saw a bright orange light or flame over Newquay at 2130 on 19th September 2010. At first we thought it was a balloon or Chinese lantern, but it was travelling far too fast, and there wasn’t any sound, so it couldn’t have been an aircraft.

It travelled from the southwest towards the northeast and it appeared at first to be heading towards the airport, but at a very high speed. It disappeared totally from view within less than 2 minutes. Regards.

Flashing Lights Over Arbroath Angus Scotland

Date: September 13, 2010
Time: Evening.

Hello Brain, last night I watched 2 bright flashing lights in the sky for about 20 minutes before they moved into the distance. The lights did not always come from exactly the same place, suggesting to me they were part of a larger object, always flashing 2 at a times with a slightly erratic pulse. Brighter than the stars, but not as large as Jupiter which was very bright last night (14th September).

I have lost track of how many times have seen these now. The first sighting was in April of 2010, which was a huge orange light in the sky, not the sun around sunset. I have seen yellow lights, orange, a very large red one (several times), white ones, flashing ones, formations of yellow and orange.

My brother watched a formation/triangle of lights above his house for about 20 minutes earlier this year. My neighbors have also witnessed some of these sightings and were completely dumfounded. Most times the lights are too high up in the sky and too distant to be (groan) Chinese Lanterns.

I have used binoculars on many occasions, and sometimes there appears to be a large "body" behind the lights, usually the flashing ones. I live on a hill with very little obstructions around me and can see out to the North Sea.

I live in Arbroath, Angus, Scotland. Just after the New Year there was an article in the Dundee Courier about the lights after so many people from all around the area witnessed similar sightings, most emphatic that they could not have been lanterns due to the distances, speeds and movements involved.

PS. I can occasionally see airplanes flying overhead, once the same time as observing the "weird" lights and they are not comparable at all. The airplanes are at a constant speed and direction, and the lights were much smaller and dimmer and you could hear it. Yours sincerely.

Bright Orange Light Over Edinburgh Scotland UK

Date: September 5, 2010
Time: Approx: 9:30 p.m.

Edinburgh, Sunday 5th September approx 9.30 pm. I was standing with a crowd of people watching the end of festival fireworks. When I turned my head to look at the crowd, I noticed in the sky to the south an orange light glowing bright and traveling slowly in a northwest direction, it was visible for a few minuets before fading out.

I could not determine if it was attached to something, and not sure of its altitude. My nephew suggested it was a helicopter, but there were no red, green or white lights.

Red Orange Lights In A Triangular Formation Over Cork City Ireland

Date: September 18, 2010
Time: Evening.

Yeah I seen your reports about the red orange lights over Wexford town and Youghal, they are very similar to what was over Cork city last night, to the southeast of the city as seen from Wellington Road. One came first and I noticed it was too bright to be a plane, as I waited to see it emerge from the other-side of a tree, I noticed it stopped moving.

A triangle formation of the same size and color joined it with another one following. At one side of the triangle, two of them were perfectly parallel and they then disappeared. I have seen two objects In October 2009 and white lights performing a repetitive sequence to the northeast of Cork city in September 2009.

Two Extremely Bright Lights Over Taipo Hong Kong

Date: November 8, 2009
Time: Evening.

Hi Brian, I don't know if you remember the report I sent you in French from Hong Kong in 2007 to your HBCC site. I reported seeing a triangular UFO.

I'd like to give you a new report of two lights my girlfriend and I saw last November (2009). I never made a report because as far as I remember you were selling your website. I found you again via Rense shows. Glad you are still taking in reports.

On Nov. 8th 2009, my GF and I were at a BBQ site with some friends not far from where we saw the two lights later. After eating a lot, my GF wanted to show me the dam (please check Google map Tai Mei Tuk Road, Taipo, Hong Kong) because I had never been there. We told our friends we would go for a walk. It is only a short distance between the BBQ site and the dam. On that night it was amazingly clear for Hong Kong, you could see many more stars than usual.

If you look on Google map, the dam is facing a reservoir and a country park called Plover Cove. Just before getting on the dam. I jokingly said to my GF that we might be able to see some UFOs. We walked a bit on the dam and decided to sit on the edge of it facing the reservoir because there is no light pollution coming from that side. My GF was amazed at the number of stars you could see that night. We could also saw planes with their usual light patterns and all.

After watching the sky in silence for about 10 minutes, something unusual happened. We both at the same time looked at what appeared to be two stars getting brighter. We are pretty sure they were not there prior to this. They were getting brighter and brighter in a synchronized way. They did not appear to be attach to one object because you could see the sky between them. My GF was in awe and I was very calm and happy to see this.

They got quite big compared to a star. Then they got dimmer and dimmer at the same time. They never moved during the whole event. Then they were so small again that they looked like stars, but got smaller and smaller until they just disappeared. It took my GF 10-15 minutes to process the whole experience because she could not believe what she had seen. There were other people around, not too close though, so we are not sure if they saw the 2 lights or not. I did not have my cell camera on me as I left it in my backpack at the BBQ site. The lights were way above the country park on the horizon (East direction).

We went back twice since then but never saw anything unusual. After doing some research I found that Nov .8th 2009 had a special meaning in the Mayan calendar. Not sure if that is related. I was thinking of going back for the next major Mayan calendar date which should be soon in October or November this year (2010).

Great reports on Rense shows:) I enjoyed them all. I also tried the flashlight thing when I was around 12 years old with another friend. We heard a weird sound that freaked us out and few days prior to that the hotel or area we were staying at lost power. That was in the 1990's in Switzerland. I always had a fascination for the unexplained since 6 or 7 and UFOs since 9 or 10. Thanks Brian.

Orange Balls Of Light Seen Over Heskin UK (Photo Of Area)

Date: July 2010
Time: Evening.

Just read your sighting, I also was sitting in my front room (July 2010 Heskin) and noticed at the top of the hill outside some odd light movement. I walked into the drive to see an orange orb rising up from behind the trees. They were pure perfect circle in shape and brilliant in colour. My son and I both witnessed 7 more, then rise up, some descending. Some power horizontally and speed off east, these were not lanterns either.

I estimate as they rose up from ground level with the distance taken into account, to assume they were about the size of a small hatch back car. We where both stunned. We visited the site a few days later and located behind the trees a large telecommunications tower and sub station we never new where there. Also next to a fenced off underground British waterways pumping station with warning signs, saying you can be heard with sonic listening devices in this area.

The photo which is displayed below, shows the area where the object were seen.

Looks more like an 80s nuclear bunker with air intakes coming out the ground. For the next few weeks I kept the curtains open in case of another sighting. Then one evening a week or so later on a crystal clear night at about 10:00pm one smaller orange orb travelled towards our house low in the sky as I was stuck in the drive.

I banged on the window and my son ran out, it was again a very bright silent object travelling at about 30 mph and maintained the same height as it passed over us and seemed to evaporate just past our home. In fact there was no wind at all, it travelled at more than a free fall speed. It was a perfect circular. I've done my own research and they are all over the world recently. Getting some gen 3 night vision now to have a closer look.

20 To 30 Orange Lights Over London UK

Date: September 18, 2010
Time: Evening.

Hello all, my son and I saw orange lights in the sky tonight, over London, north of the Thames. They looked like they could have been aircraft and were all moving in the same direction, but they were all orange. On top of this, they did not appear to make any sound. There were quite a alot of them (20-30) and as they flew upwards, disappeared above the clouds.

Perhaps they were lanterns, but lanterns would not travel that fast. Maybe they were part of some elaborate light show in celebration of the Pope’s Visit, but surely we would have seen beams that any kind of effect would emit.

Red Orange Light Over Tilbury UK

Date: September 18, 2010
Time: Evening.

Hi ya, A half a hour ago I spotted a red/orange light moving from Grays area over my house in Tilbury over towards east Tilbury. I was stunned as I have never seem anything like this before. I first spotted it was I sat watching TV and then I moved to the window. At first I thought it was a low flying plane.

I rushed to my back door and watched it pass over head no sound at all, also no flashing lights. I sat and watched this strange light disappear into the distance with binoculars. I was so stunned and I did a search on the net straight away.

Object Zig Zagged In The Sky Over Higham Alfreton UK ?

Date: September 17, 2010
Time: Between 8:00 p.m. and 3:00 a.m.

Location of Sighting: Higham Alfreton.
Number of witnesses: 3
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Round light.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Previous report was Friday 3rd September 2010, OK again last night Friday 17th September. This time I'm 100% sure it is the very same light, but different to last time we saw it at around 8-830 p.m.

This time it started in a west position about 9 o'clock, it then moved east. It stayed west for over an hour then around 10:00pm it was at a 10 o'clock in the sky, zig zaging again. I woke at 3:30am and went to the toilet and saw it above us about 1 o'clock position. I think in this case there is a genuine explanation and I really would like to know what this is.

I've seen a triangle formation of lights maneuver like nothing I've seen before, then shoot off at great speed, but that was many years ago. I'm not looking to explain that or 3 other strange sightings, as I don't think anybody could explain those things, but this is too routine to be unexplainable. I forgot to mention my Dad and my son saw this.

High Pitched Rattles Windows Over Burnage/Heaton Mersey Stockport Cheshire UK

Date: September 15, 2010
Time: Approx: 4:30 a.m.

Brian, A neighbor of mine highlighted an incident on Wednesday morning at approximately 4:30am. He had got up to use the bathroom only to be interrupted by two high pitched noise’s, (separated by a few seconds) and then rattling of the house windows, following each noise.

The adjacent road has speed bumps and vehicles travelling at high speed ‘’bottom out’’ scrapping the body work, which was not heard on this occasion, nor did the noise have a build up as with a helicopter or plane, and subsequent decrease.

His impression was of something travelling at high speed, creating some pressure wave? Location Burnage/Heaton Mersey border on Barcicroft Road, Stockport Cheshire. Just wondered if any other reports had cropped up? Regards.

Orange Colored UFO Seen Over Annan Dumfriesshire Scotland

Date: September 16, 2010
Time: 9:45 p.m.

From (name and phone number removed) on 16th September 2010 at 9:45pm in Annan Dumfriesshire Scotland. Three witnesses, one object sighted, shape of object round.

As I was parking my van and getting out, a light in the sky caught my eye. I looked up and saw what I thought was a lunar eclipse. It was an orange circle with a bright light on it's trailing edge. I went into my house to get my wife and daughter, when they came out, the light started to fade and then moved at a high speed towards the southeast.

It was a dull orange color. It flew along level and several hundred feet up in the sky. It then appeared to fall. We then went through the house to the back of the house and we watched it for about two minutes longer. It left very fast, towards the southeast. There was no sound and the sky was very clear.

Large Glowing Orange Ball Over Derby UK

Date: September 12, 2010
Time: Approx: 10:00 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Derby.
Number of witnesses: 2
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Round.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was sitting watching TV on sofa and my partner was asleep next to me. I have French doors in my lounge and as I was watching TV, something caught my eye in the sky. It looked like a large glowing orange ball and was moving quite fast upwards. I woke my partner up and we went outside to look at it. There were 2 planes in the sky at the same time and as it was quite cloudy, they just appeared as very small blinking lights in comparison, the orange object was a lot bigger and moving a lot faster.

It then slowed down and almost stopped and then continued until we could no longer see it. It was visible for about 5 minutes and I even rang my mum to see if she could see it, although her garden is obscured by trees so she couldn't As I was talking to her, it disappeared anyway. I have absolutely no explanation of what it could have been. It was very bright and very orange and definitely was not a plane, it was too big and moving far too fast.

10 Orange Lights Seen Over Laurieston Falkirk Central Scotland UK

Date: September 11, 2010
Time: Approx: 9:05 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Laurieston Falkirk Central Scotland UK.
Number of witnesses: 4
Number of Objects: More than ten.
Shape of Objects: Orange Spheres.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Myself and a friend had returned to my home after a day out at approx: 8.45pm. We were sitting in my kitchen having a conversation with my brother when he left to go up to the bathroom. My brother had made it half way up the stairs to the bathroom, when he shouted for us to come quickly to the window on the landing because he claimed there were lights in the sky.

My friend and I quickly run up the stairs to the window and looked out to see two orange circular lights in the sky. Our landing on the stairs window looks out eastward from the back of our house onto neighboring houses and we could see these lights in the sky above them and also in the space between two of these houses, which are separated by a communal pathway about 30 feet apart.

I ran back to the kitchen and grabbed my video camera, ran back to the window and began filming best I could through the window, by this time a third orange light had moved in from the south appearing from behind the house opposite to join the other two lights and formed a triangle. During this time my niece who was in the living room had joined us so there was now four of us watching this.

The third light that had appeared faded and disappeared after about 10 seconds leaving the other two still there, then a fourth orange light again came from the right hand side and joined the other two which were by this time becoming more faint until they could not be seen anymore.

This same "joining in" of orange lights moving towards the same area of the sky kept happening again and again, we had counted at least 10 of these orange lights moving in a straight line across the sky before they became harder to see before disappearing into the clouds it seemed.

All this time I was trying to capture all this on video which was quite difficult to do because I was filming through the glass and had to zoom into the night sky through the glass for the camera to pick them up, I managed to capture at least five of these orange lights on the video.

This was a very surreal experience for all four of us watching these very unusual lights and how they behaved, we are all very agreed that they were not planes, helicopters, fireworks, Chinese lanterns or anything that would be familiar to us because of the fact they were certainly not anything familiar at all.

Bright Orange Light Over Edinburgh Scotland

Date: September 10, 2010
Time: Approx: 9:15 p.m.

Hi, I just read your web page about an orange light in the sky. I live near Edinburgh airport and last night we noticed a bright orange light which didn’t appear to be too high in the sky, moving from South to North . At the same time a plane was taking off from Edinburgh Airport. The Orange light would appear to cross over the flight path then headed up and away eastwards until it became a dot and then gone from view.

This happened at around 9:45pm last night. A few minutes later the same thing happened again, again a plane was leaving the airport and again the light crossed over the flight path and headed east wards.

I found it so strange that I surfed the internet and found your page. You seem to have had a similar “sighting”. Any idea what this is/was. I notice you are in Leeds/Bradford and your sighting was two months ago. Has anyone else come to you with similar sightings. Regards.

Fast Moving Bright Orange Ball Of Light Over Cheltenham UK

Date: September 4, 2010
Time: Evening.

Hi Brian, In reply to your site about a bright orange glare over Cheltenham, my boyfriend saw a (what only can be described as) a bright orange dot, that rapidly became bigger the closer it got, to which he could make out appeared to be a mass of bright orange flames that reflected onto something above it.

He described it as a hot air balloon on fire (when he first saw it) and could actually see flames though as the object got closer it was far too big, in fact enormous and travelling at thousands of miles per hour, he shouted upstairs to me, but I ignored him as I was doing my hair (lol) he kept shouting so I came downstairs and is a the tail end of it for 3-4 seconds disappear into the night sky, it travelled from the right side of my house from a distance to the very left in the distant sky, that is when I saw an orange dot disappear. It wasn’t a shooting star as I have seen one of these before. Bizarre! (my boyfriend thought at the beginning it was going to crash into the earth)

Be good to hear if you have heard any more? I tweeted it on my twitter and a few people from Cheltenham have been seeing them all week, not sure if I believe it but they said it might be an International Space station? Kindest Regards.

Two Bright White Objects Over Bingley UK

Date: September 5, 2010
Time: 7:00 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Bingley.
Number of witnesses: 1
Number of Objects: 2
Shape of Objects: Round.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: This is a possible sighting of 2 white light spheres. I say possible, because it could of been a large aircraft with landing lights on, but all things considered it could also be a sighting, it would of been a dam big plane and silent.

Two spheres appeared just below the cloud base, one then the other and appeared to be stationary for no more than 10 seconds then disappeared. I am an avid watcher and find this one hard to explain away, as an aircraft or lantern. I watch from the Moores above Bingley and the orbs were I would say between 3 to 4000 feet high, a mile N.N.E. of Bingly.

Can anybody collaborate this one way or the other. I was on the S.E side of the valley so about 3 miles from the objects, (Wilsden area) but if you were in Bingley they would of been big so if they were an aircraft you would of heard them. I could not, but had no problems hearing later aircraft from Yeadon that were smaller further away and hardly visible.

At 7:15 two planes of the same type circled the area that the lights were in, then headed of to the N.E. These were audible and very small in comparison and their lights very dim in comparison also.

Chinese Lantern Lands In Park At Bradford UK

Date: September 4, 2010
Time: Evening.

Hi, just to let you know, I have just seen 3 lights just like yours. I think they may be hot air balloons, also last night two others passed over, but seems to do large circles covering a few miles before disappearing in the same direction as tonight's. The general direction is the same as following the M606. and Cleckheaton Road.

The unusual thing tonight was one of the three was in a slightly different direction and much lower. I don't know how hot air balloons can navigate a circle, but last nights did. They weren't aircraft of any other type as they were silent and the light was orange. My son has just come in and it seems one has landed in our park. It was some sort of lantern with a fire lighter? underneath. The circles yesterday must have been the winds.

Mystery solved! I think it may be something to do with Chinese celebrations.

Ex Royal Air Force Serviceman Observes Orange Light/Fireball Over Sutton Coldfield UK

Date: September 4, 2010
Time: 10:15 p.m.

Brian, please refer to this story - http://worldufos.blogspot.com/2009/05/sutton-coldfield-birmingham-england.html

I seen exactly the same light traveling in the same direction last night (2215 04/09/10).

I spent 4 years in the Royal Air Force and left in 2006 and I believe I have seen more or less every aircraft that the UK/US fly's in our skies, and worked for some time on operational bases within the UK. What I seen was not a helicopter or a plane (that I know of) as there was absolutely no engine sound, this object also moved very quickly in exactly the same direction (Walsall from Birmingham).

I initially thought a plane was on fire, and was heading towards my parents house in Walsall area (hence my interest in the object). I half expected to hear an explosion of some kind as the orange glow disappeared and faded into the horizon/distance. I know that the military would never ever test aircraft around a major commercial flight path, which this object was very near.

I have no explanation of this, only a possible meteor or comet? How likely is this 'meteor' to have passed on the same path before in the same area? Many Thanks.

Three Bright White Lights In The Shape Of A Triangle Over Macclesfield UK

Date: August 28, 2010
Time: Approx: 2:30 a.m.

Hi Brain, my name is (removed name), I am a delivery driver for a place called (place of employment removed). I went on the website http://www.sightings.com/1.reports2010/macclesfieldUK08082010.html and they asked me to tell you if I saw anything like what you saw. (Note: Brian Vike did not have the sighting, but rather a witness wrote in with the report).

When I finished work on 28/08/2010 (last week) around 2:30am I was on my way home and just before I pulled up outside my house, (in Macclesfield) I saw 3 bright white lights in the sky, at first I thought it was just stars, but I thought to myself that they are to bright, so I got out my car to look properly and realized that the 3 lights were moving slowly to the east. They were in the shape of a triangle and I don't think they

were planes and they were to close together. They had no flashing lights on them and the lights were just to bright. I don't know if any one else saw it, as I was on my own at the time. There was no clouds in the sky as I could see, all the stars were out.

Bright Orange Lights Above Cheltenham UK

Date: September 4, 2010
Time: Approx: 8:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.

Tonight 04/09/10 between about 2030 and 2130 my son and I saw bright lights above Cheltenham on four separate occasions. The lights were very bright which brought my attention to the first one. When I looked out of the window I thought it must have been a plane or helicopter heading for Staverton, but it was much higher than normal and disappeared behind the cloud which was very light.

Approximately 10 minutes later my son called me unaware of what I had seen, to show me another light exactly the same, but further west which I also observed. Minutes later we both together saw another light to the north. The lights were visible on all occasions for about 15 seconds and disappeared behind patchy cloud, but did not re-appear when expected

I would describe them all as a single solid bright orange colour. There was no aircraft noise and were far brighter than plane lights which would have been flashing anyway. I have seen many shooting stars before, but these were much slower. Let me know if you had any other reports of sightings this evening or if you have any idea what they might have been. Regards.

Orange Red Globe Fell Quickly Downward At Bilston Wolverhampton West Midlands UK

Full Description of Event/Sighting: We observed a stationary orange-red globe. North west. It was stationary for minimum 5 minutes. Then extremely rapid fell straight down, disappearing behind trees on the horizon. There was no sound of explosion, even though one was expected as it should have hit the ground at high speed.

At same time, a second sphere. Again stationary, although dimmer, and flashing red/green, more towards west.

Observers went indoors. 30 minutes later, second sphere had disappeared. Manner of disappearance unknown.

Bright Light Returns Time After Time Over Higham Alfreton UK

Date: September 3, 2010
Time: From around 9:00 p.m. until 2:00 a.m.

Location of Sighting: Higham Alfreton.
Number of witnesses: 2
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Round.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was night fishing at Higham farm fishery when at around 9:00pm my fishing mate said to me "look at that". A brilliant white light was (like a security light) traveling west to east.

At first we thought it was a planes front light, until it started moving side to side as well as west/east about as fast as a plane would.

We watched it until it went to the horizon, we realized it wasn't a plane because the light remained as bright from both directions (if it was plane's headlight it would go out when it was traveling away from us) also there was no flashing lights.

I turned in at 10:15pm only to be woken up by shouting from people at a nearby hotel, they were shouting, look at that. This was 11:15pm.

I later woke up at 1:45am, my alarms woke me. I had a fish on and the light was now above us again. We put the fish back after fotos, had a coffee and before we turned in again the light had now moved westerly around 2:15am.

I'm hoping someone else saw and reported this, I would like an explanation.

Multiple UFO Sightings Over The Township Of Kalannie Western Australia

Date: 1967, 1968, and 1979.
Time: Dawn, 9:00 p.m. and dawn respectively.

Location of Sighting: Farmhouse and township of Kalannie.
Number of witnesses: My whole family and myself.
Number of Objects: One at each sighting.
Shape of Objects: 2 were disks and the latter was a cigar shape.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Hi, I have been fortunate to witness three separate UFO sightings through my life, plus several other unexplained things in the skies, but when I was around 8 years old, I got to see a 20 feet round disk hovering in-between the shed and our house, (my whole family saw it too) and while it was totally silent, it was spinning very slowly and moving away, until it vanished behind the tree belt at the back of our house block.

It was a silver metal and had portholes, but not sign of movement. The second sighting was above the house, very high up, an object with multiple coloured lights was just sitting, for some time, and then it just shot straight up within a few seconds it had gone, no sound again, and obviously a round disk shape.

The third sighting I had was a huge 1 kilometer long silent black cigar, hanging above the entire town I was from. I watched it for about 10 minutes, then it just vanished. I consider myself to be really lucky to have witnessed these strange things, and hope to see more in my lifetime. Thanks for your time.

Orange Light Seen From Chellaston In Derby UK

Date: September 2, 2010
Time: Approx: 11:30 p.m.

I saw an orange object burning in the sky last night from Chellaston In Derby at around 23.30 (2nd September). I couldn’t figure out what it was looking out of the window so went outside to have a look. Even though it was traveling horizontally, It definitely wasn’t a plane.

My initial thought was that it could a satellite burning up on entry, but it seemed far to close to be that and the direction it was traveling wouldn’t really have supported that theory. No idea what it was so had a look online today to see if there were any other sightings, and I saw your website.
